Linguistic Features and Translation of English Sports News

Sports, as one symbol of social civilization, are indispensable to our social and cultural life. Nowadays, with the development of society and the economy, sports news occupies a significant place in our daily lives and has aroused people’s attention. English sports news, as a kind of special news style, has the characteristics of news style but also presents its unique language features.
This paper tries to analyze the linguistic features of English sports news with vivid examples of vocabulary and sentences. It includes five parts. The first part introduces the origin and development of English sports news. The second is the literature review, which introduces previous studies on English Sports News and its translation. Then, the third and fourth parts study the linguistic features and translation of English sports news with vivid examples. Lastly, the fifth part is the conclusion, which summarizes the linguistic features of English Sports News and gives several translation principles. For instance: faithfulness, expressiveness, and elegance; literal translation, and free translation.

The Role of Experiential Learning in Transforming Music Appreciation Education and Pedagogical Practices
Get PDFThis study examines the role of experiential learning in transforming high school music appreciation education. Grounded in the experiential learning theories of John Dewey, Kurt Lewin, and Jean Piaget, the research explores how active and immersive approaches can enhance students' emotional and intellectual engagement with music. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the study incorporates teacher interviews, student surveys, and a case study centered on a specific music lesson (Homesickness Melody). Results indicate that experiential learning fosters creativity, deeper emotional connections, and critical thinking skills, while addressing some of the limitations of traditional music teaching methods. However, challenges such as teacher readiness, resource availability, and student participation were identified as key barriers to implementation. The case study demonstrated the effectiveness of kinesthetic and sensory activities in enhancing students' appreciation of music. Overall, the findings suggest that experiential learning offers a promising pedagogical strategy for music education, promoting both aesthetic literacy and emotional engagement
Instructor's Effectiveness and Their Work Commitment in a Vocational College in China
Get PDFThis study examines instructor effectiveness and work commitment at Shandong College of Economics and Business. Using a qualitative approach, semi-structured interviews were conducted with instructors to explore their experiences, perceptions, and strategies related to teaching effectiveness and work commitment. The findings reveal several key themes. In terms of teaching effectiveness, instructors emphasized the importance of dedication to student learning, adaptability in teaching methods, and subject matter expertise. Factors such as student engagement and active learning were identified as influential. Regarding work commitment, instructors were motivated by personal fulfillment, professional growth, and a supportive work environment. Strategies for enhancing work commitment included continuous professional development and building positive relationships with students. The implications of the findings suggest that the college should prioritize providing professional development opportunities, foster a supportive work environment, and promote student engagement. These findings contribute to understanding instructor effectiveness and work commitment, offering insights for improving teaching and learning environments in similar educational institutions
Research on China Pakistan Cultural Exchange in Applied Undergraduate College under the Context of the Belt and Road Initiative
Get PDF With the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and "One Belt, One Road" Initiative(BRI), China and Pakistan maintain close cooperation in politics, economy, and other aspects, but cultural exchanges and cooperation lags behind, and has become a short board in the comprehensive relationship between China and Pakistan. To promote the friendly development of China-Pakistan relations, education is a key component of culture and the educational cooperation is vital to enhance Sino-Pakistan bilateral ties. Pakistan Study Center in Inner Mongolia Honder College of Arts and Sciences strives to play a better role in building a bridge of China-Pakistan friendship by promoting the cultural exchange. This paper mainly explores what this Pakistan Study Center have done recently in cultural exchange, to be specific, the exploration of Pakistan students' Chinese language education in a University of the Punjab combined with the research related to Pakistani cultural learning of Chinese college students in Inner Mongolia Honder College of Arts and Sciences.
 
The Role of English Language Support Programs on International Academic Mobility of University Students in Shandong College of Economics and Business, China

Conducting a quantitative study involving 150 participants engaged in international academic mobility, the research investigates the impact of language support initiatives, identifies challenges faced by students, and gathers suggestions for program improvement. Results reveal significant improvements in English language proficiency, academic performance, and overall satisfaction among participants. Challenges encountered, including language barriers, cultural adjustment, academic rigor, and social integration, underscore the complexities of global academic experiences. Participants' suggestions for program improvement, emphasizing increased language practice opportunities, enhanced cultural preparation, additional academic support, and more social events, provide actionable insights for program refinement. This study contributes to the broader discourse on the internationalization of higher education, emphasizing the transformative potential of language support programs in fostering successful global academic mobility experiences. The findings hold implications for institutions globally seeking to optimize language support initiatives for an increasingly diverse student body and nurture globally competent citizens
A Study on the Relationship between Social Support and Subjective Well being of Vocational College Students
Get PDFThe objective of this research is to examine the correlation between social support and subjective well-being among vocational college students using empirical surveys. The intention is to provide a foundation for increasing their mental health and improving their subjective well-being. A total of 375 students from vocational colleges were chosen as participants, and their levels of social support and subjective well-being were assessed by the administration of a questionnaire. The findings indicated a substantial positive correlation between subjective well-being and objective support, subjective support, usage of support, and the overall social support score. (2) Female vocational college students exhibit a notably greater degree of assistance use compared to their male counterparts. There exists a notable disparity in survival rates between students pursuing liberal arts and those studying science in terms of subjective well-being, with science students exhibiting much greater levels of subjective well-being compared to liberal arts students. There are notable variations seen across different grades in terms of objective support, subjective support, usage of support, overall social support score, and subjective well-being. Following the LSD post-test analysis, it was determined that freshman students exhibited significantly lower levels of objective support, subjective support, total social support score, and subjective well-being score compared to students in other grades. On the other hand, sophomore students scored significantly higher than students in other grades in terms of utilization of support. (3) A multiple regression analysis revealed that objective support, subjective support, and usage of support positively predict subjective well-being. This research examines the correlation between social support and subjective well-being and offers empirical evidence and theoretical direction to enhance the subjective well-being of vocational college students via more focused coaching

Despite these challenges, opportunities for innovation and enhancement are also explored, including interdisciplinary collaboration, community engagement, and the integration of technology. The study provides evidence-based insights and recommendations to improve the quality and effectiveness of public art education, ultimately enriching the learning experience for students and teachers

Research on Bank Hall Service Management Strategy of Rural Commercial Bank

As the main business place of physical network, the hall of rural commercial bank plays an irreplaceable role in electronic channels and virtual places. After decades of development, rural commercial banks have carried out a series of reforms and innovations. At present, the external layout of hall outlets, such as intelligent machinery, electronic equipment, and standardized network construction, has achieved initial results. Under the background of network transformation, the network construction of rural commercial banks has undergone great changes, but the concept of hall operation service has not matched the network construction in time, and can not adapt to the requirements of banking development under the new situation. In view of this situation, this paper explores the hall management and operation services of rural commercial banks, with the purpose of improving the hall service efficiency of rural commercial banks, improving the enthusiasm of employees, improving the service quality and efficiency, and increasing the profitability of banks.Taking the branch hall management of commercial banks in rural areas as the entry point, this paper uses literature research, process reengineering, salary management and other relevant theoretical research methods, SWOT analysis and other methods to analyze the problems existing in the transformation and upgrading process of branch halls of rural commercial banks, such as unreasonable staffing, cumbersome processes, low efficiency and low customer satisfaction. This paper explores the causes of such problems according to the problems, that is, backward management system, market positioning, low entry conditions for competitors, and low scale effect. Finally, it aims to improve system management, optimize organizational framework, integrate hall zoning, refine the division of labor, increase scientific and technological support, and innovate service modes. Improve the assessment mechanism, and put forward constructive suggestions on hall management and marketing strategy in the process of network transformation and upgrading to employees. The research in this paper can improve the service quality and efficiency of hall staff, improve the post adaptability of hall staff, thus improve marketing performance, realize the transformation and upgrading of outlets, and achieve greater economic benefits of rural commercial banks
