    Get PDF
In order to better utilize advanced information technology to assist university business English teaching and improve the quality of the teaching, the BOPPPS teaching mode and the online-offline blended teaching mode should be integrated, which is “dual-mode” teaching. This research firstly introduced the BOPPPS model. Based on the theoretical foundation of BOPPPS model, it is combined with practical cases- Unit 7 Enterprise Internationalization of Comprehensive Business English 2 from the six dimensions of lead-in, objectives, pre-test, participatory learning, post-test, and summary with specific examples to elaborate how to apply this model for teaching design and implementation in Comprehensive Business English. Teaching practice shows that the combination of the two teaching modes and the adjustment of the teaching sessions help students to consolidate the foundation of English language knowledge, cultivate the ability of independent learning, group facilitation and pragmatic skills, improve cultural literacy, national pride and self-confidence, and provide a reference for the improvement of the efficiency of the teaching of comprehensive English courses in universities

An Examination of the Psychological Processes Behind Effective Piano Practice

    Get PDF
This study explores interplay between psychological processes and piano practice, unveiling how cognitive theories, mindfulness, flow state, emotional engagement, and performance psychology collectively shape the pianist's journey. By examining the foundation of deliberate practice driven by focused attention, this study uncovers its role in skill acquisition. Introducing mindfulness practices enriches piano practice through heightened present-moment awareness, fostering focused engagement and emotional regulation. The pursuit of flow state, characterized by the alignment of challenge and skill, leads to immersive and productive practice sessions. Moving to interpretation, the study explores how psychological factors infuse emotion and authenticity into performances. Mindset, emotional intelligence, and personal narratives emerge as pivotal in conveying a piece's intended narrative. Performance psychology then comes into play, influencing psychological states during performances and strategies for managing anxiety. Overall, the implications for piano pedagogy emphasize nurturing mindful learning environments, fostering flow experiences, and guiding emotional expression, thus embracing a holistic approach. This study underscores the transformative impact of psychology in shaping the trajectory from novice pianist to expressive artist, unraveling the profound interrelation between the mind and the art of piano playing

A Study on the Application of Ecological linguistics to English Teaching

    Get PDF
This paper explores the application of ecological linguistics to English teaching, highlighting its significance in enhancing language learning and promoting a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness between language, culture, and the environment. Ecological linguistics recognizes that language is inseparable from its social, cultural, and ecological contexts, emphasizing the role of context in language teaching. By incorporating ecological perspectives, English language educators can help learners comprehend how language usage varies across different contexts and how ecological factors influence linguistic choices, thereby improving learners' ability to communicate effectively in real-world situations. Additionally, ecological linguistics promotes the use of authentic language materials and real-world contexts, exposing learners to diverse linguistic practices and cultural diversity. It also acknowledges language variation and diversity, fostering tolerance, inclusivity, and intercultural competence. Furthermore, the integration of language and culture is emphasized, promoting cultural awareness and sensitivity among learners. The paper proposes strategies for English teaching within the Ecological Linguistics Dynamic Mode, such as establishing clear and adaptive teaching objectives, utilizing diverse teaching approaches, and implementing dynamic assessment. By adopting these strategies, educators can create a comprehensive and meaningful learning experience that extends beyond language structures, equipping learners with the necessary linguistic and cultural tools to navigate a diverse and rapidly changing world

Study on the control effect of Empedobacte brevis on cherry fruit fly

    Get PDF
Abstract: Fruit fly is a major boring pest of cherry fruits during the color change and maturity period. It causes serious damage and affects the quality and economic benefits of cherry fruits. In order to clarify the control effect of Empedobacter brevis on cherry fruit fly and provide basis for guiding scientific medication use. The test adopts the conventional spray method, and uses 60g•L-1 spinetoram suspension as a control to compare and analyze the control effects of different dosages of Empedobacter brevis suspension on cherry fruit fly. The results show that on the three cherry varieties of Red lantern, Tieton and Napoleon, the control effects of Empedobacter brevis 600 times and 800 times and spinetoram 1000 times are better, and the control efficiency reaches more than 78-80%. There is no significant difference in control effects among the three, and they are safe for cherry trees. In cherry production, Empedobacter brevis can be promoted and applied as an effective biological agent to control fruit flies
