OBE-Driven Ideological and Political Education Reform in Event Management: A Case Study of Event Planning and Management

    Get PDF
Under the National Education Strengthening Strategy, the development of “curriculum-based ideological and political education” in higher education has entered a deepening phase. However, event-related majors face challenges like forced ideological incorporation, weak value guidance in practice, and oversimplified evaluation.  Using the provincial demonstration course Event Planning and Management as a case, and based on the OBE (Outcome-Based Education) concept, this study innovatively constructs an HCCR curriculum-based ideological and political education goal system, which includes four dimensions: Humanistic Sentiment (cultivating cultural identity and patriotism), Career Competence (strengthening professional standards and occupational responsibility), Creative Thinking (cultivating innovation awareness and practical wisdom), and Social Responsibility (shaping international perspectives and sustainable development views). In terms of teaching methods, it adopts a combination of PBL project-driven method and case teaching, and conducts 'ideological and political education into practice' activities through internships at international exhibitions such as the Canton Fair, extending ideological education from the university to the industry. At the same time, a dual evaluation mechanism for teachers and students is established. This study provides a systematic reform plan for the ideological and political education of applied professional courses, 'goal-oriented—diverse methods—dual evaluation', not only fulfills the requirements of the National Education Strengthening Strategy to "establish an education system guided by ideological and political principles", but also providing an effective path to solve the structural contradictions in the cultivation of talents in the exhibition industry

    Get PDF
This study investigates the relationship between teachers' familiarity with machine learning (ML) concepts and their acceptance of predictive learning technologies (PLTs) at Sichuan Automotive Vocational and Technical College in China. A descriptive-comparative-correlational research design was employed, collecting data from 350 teachers via a structured questionnaire. Results indicated that teachers possessed only a slight familiarity with core ML concepts and a slightly accepting attitude towards PLTs. A very strong, statistically significant positive correlation was found between ML familiarity and technological acceptance. Furthermore, demographic factors such as education level and years of service significantly influenced both familiarity and acceptance. The findings highlight a critical need for targeted professional development programs that not only build foundational ML literacy but also address practical application and ethical concerns to foster greater adoption and effective use of predictive technologies in the classroom

Research on the Educational Pathways of Student Association Practices under the Rural Revitalization Strategy: An Analysis Based on the Marxist View of Practice

    Get PDF
Guided by the Marxist theory of practice, this study explores the educational logic and realization pathways embedded in university student association activities within the context of China’s national Rural Revitalization Strategy. The findings reveal that student associations, through multi-dimensional practices such as educational support, technological services, and cultural inheritance, not only respond effectively to the developmental needs of rural communities but also facilitate participants’ knowledge application, capacity enhancement, and value formation—thereby achieving a dialectical unity between social service and personal development. However, the study also identifies several challenges, including structural mismatches between service provision and rural needs, as well as tensions between cognitive enrichment and practical efficacy. To address these issues, this paper proposes the construction of an integrated practice-based education system, the deepening of collaborative education mechanisms through university–local partnerships, and the improvement of scientific and diversified evaluation and incentive systems. These measures aim to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for the high-quality development of practice-oriented education models

Against the backdrop of educational digital transformation, the Business English discipline must trigger its teaching digital transformation to meet the talent development demands of industrial  transformation and globalization achieve the goal of cultivating applied talents. This study, guided by the Self-Determination Theory, surveyed Business English teachers in Hunan Province to investigate their overall level of three needs covered in the theory. The author employed a questionnaire survey, utilizing a self-developed scale based on the Teacher Digital Literacy Standards designed by Chinese Education Ministry, to sample 125 Business English teachers in Hunan Province. All 125 distributed questionnaires were returned valid. Data were analyzed using SPSS software. The findings reveal that: (1) Teacher have no motivation to persist in continuous digital teaching practice and proactive creative power despite their own high-level recognition of digital transformation; (2) Teachers show their competence deficiency in higher-level application including the analysis and transformation of students’ feedback and exploration of teaching resources with enterprises; and (3) Teachers show their dilemma in the high individual endeavor but low community interactivity, reflecting the loss of satisfaction of relatedness need. From the perspective of SDT, this study suggests that Business English teachers’ intrinsic motivation could be accelerated with the realization of basic psychological needs, which are realized with the combination of external regulation, introjected regulation, identified regulation and integrated regulation for which teachers themselves, administrators and enterprises are responsible together. This study provides valuable implementations to accelerate the development of Business English teachers self-determination level, which are valuable reference for the formulation of training policies

Research on the Dilemmas and Breakthrough Paths of Two-Way Bridging between Kindergarten and Primary School from the Perspective of Collaborative Education

    Get PDF
The transition from early childhood education to compulsory education is a critical link profoundly impacting children's physical and mental development. The concept of "two-way bridging" aims to break the limitations of the traditional one-sided approach and promote collaborative education between kindergartens and primary schools. From the perspective of synergy theory, and through questionnaires and in-depth interviews, this paper systematically analyzes the main dilemmas faced by the current two-way bridging process across four subsystems: curriculum, teachers, parents, and policy. The study finds that issues such as a disjointed curriculum system, lack of teacher collaboration mechanisms, prominent parental educational anxiety, and weak policy implementation seriously hinder the effective execution of two-way bridging. Based on this, the paper constructs a "four-in-one" collaborative path from the dimensions of curriculum co-development, teacher collaboration, parental guidance, and policy optimization to promote scientific kindergarten-primary school transition and provide theoretical reference and practical guidance for achieving a smooth transition for children

This study aims to solve the problem that fuzzy information in diplomatic consecutive interpreting may lead to inaccurate information transmission and even diplomatic disputes. First, it sorts out core concepts of consecutive interpreting, fuzzy information theory, and relevance theory to lay a theoretical foundation. Then, it systematically analyzes specific manifestations and causes of three common types of fuzzy information in diplomatic consecutive interpreting: semantic ambiguity, pragmatic ambiguity, and cultural ambiguity. Building on this typology, the study integrates the optimal relevance principle of relevance theory, the study explores practical strategies for handling these fuzzy information types, including translation techniques like addition and omission, and auxiliary tools such as note-taking, pauses, and speech rate control. Key findings show that taking optimal relevance as the core and flexibly combining translation strategies with auxiliary tools can effectively improve the accuracy of fuzzy information interpretation. The study provides theoretical guidance and practical references for interpreters to enhance their skills, and points out that future research can use empirical methods to compare interpreters of different proficiency levels in handling fuzzy information

The Application of CIPP Model in the Value-added Evaluation of Physical Education Skills Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges

    Get PDF
This study investigates the application of the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model in conducting value-added evaluation of physical education (PE) skills teaching in higher vocational colleges. Traditional outcome-based assessment models in vocational PE often fail to account for individual student growth and contextual differences, leading to limited pedagogical effectiveness. With the CIPP model, this research constructs a comprehensive, student-centered evaluation framework designed to capture dynamic learning progress and enhance instructional quality. The study explores five major aspects: relevance of the CIPP model to vocational PE evaluation, practical challenges in implementation, framework and indicator design, weight determination using analytic methods, and dynamic adjustment mechanisms. Data were collected through expert consultations, large-scale surveys, and longitudinal field applications across multiple institutions, ensuring empirical rigor. The results demonstrate that the CIPP-based evaluation system improves feedback precision, supports continuous teaching improvement, and aligns with the principles of scientific validity, systemic integration, operability, and adaptability. The study concludes that the CIPP model offers a theoretically sound and practically feasible framework for advancing value-added evaluation in PE teaching within the context of higher vocational education
