Core Literacy Deficiency in High School Chinese Education——Insights from Student-Formulated Essay Titles
This study investigates the issues in high school students' self-formulated essay titles in the context of Chinese language education. A total of 1046 Chinese language comprehensive examination papers were randomly selected from City K, with 42 blank papers excluded, resulting in a valid sample of 1004. The research found that 22.01% of the self-proposed essay titles had various issues, including unclear meaning, scribbles, typos, grammatical errors, and punctuation errors. Interviews with 10 senior Chinese language teachers revealed that these issues reflect the current state of Chinese language teaching, which neglects basic knowledge and the cultivation of learning behaviors. This study aims to identify the underlying causes of these issues and propose practical strategies to improve the quality of Chinese language education
A Four-Dimensional Framework for Analyzing the Boundaries of Social Media Engagement in K12 Educational Scenarios
Social media, as an innovative communication medium in the digital era, is reshaping the ecological pattern of education governance with subversive power, especially in the field of K12 education, and its influence deeply penetrates into various aspects such as teaching management, home-school interaction, and student development. Using Lasswell's "4W" analysis method, we reveal the blurring of boundaries among teachers, students, parents, educational administrative organizations, platforms and other subjects in terms of "subject-content-space-time", such as the leakage of teachers' privacy, parents' overstepping of their authority to intervene, and students' misbehavior on the Internet. The proposed boundary regulation path of "hierarchical governance - technological empowerment - collaborative parenting" aims to balance the openness and normativity of education, and provides theoretical references and practical solutions for K12 digital governance
The Digital ethics of teachers in the intelligent era and solutions to their concerns: none
With the rise of 5G networks, the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, mankind has entered the era of intelligence. However, the resulting uneven distribution of information resources is reshaping the digital order of mankind. The digital divide brought about by algorithmic black boxes, privacy leaks, and data traps is exacerbating social injustice, and online digital blind spots are challenging teachers' digital ethics. Starting from the concept of digital ethics, this study dismantles the ethical dimension of teachers' digital literacy in the context of digital transformation, bridges the ethical generation gap caused by technical problems in teachers' teaching process and students' independent learning, constructs an ecological ethical governance system for the overall network for good, improves the supply model of digitally empowered high-quality resources, and creates technology to help emotional and humanistic care, so as to eliminate the lack of emotional experience caused by the lack of virtual interaction
Aerobics Trainers' Use of Real-Time Feedback Technology and Clients' Performance Improvements in Aerobic Fitness Tests in Inner Mongolia, China
This study investigates the relationship between aerobics trainers' use of real-time feedback technology (RTFT) and client performance improvements in aerobic fitness tests. Conducted at Baotou Light Industry Vocational Technical College in Inner Mongolia, China, the research employed a descriptive-comparative-correlational design. Eighty-four aerobics trainers were surveyed on their demographic profiles, self-assessed use of RTFT (including frequency of use, technical skill, data interpretation, and real-time adjustments), and their assessment of client improvements (in cardiovascular endurance, recovery time, test scores, and performance consistency). Results indicated a significant positive correlation between trainers' self-assessed proficiency with RTFT and their reported client performance gains. While trainers were generally confident, areas for improvement were identified in consistent technology application and advanced data interpretation. The findings underscore the value of RTFT in enhancing training efficacy and highlight the need for targeted professional development to maximize its potential
Coaches' Feedback Quality and Skill Development of Badminton Athletes in an Institute of Technology in Jiangxi Province, China
This study investigates the relationship between coaches’ feedback quality and the skill development of badminton athletes at the Nanchang Institute of Technology in Jiangxi Province, China. Utilizing a descriptive-comparative-correlational design, 304 badminton athletes were surveyed on their demographic profiles, their assessment of their coaches’ feedback quality (across dimensions of relevance, clarity, timing, and tactical insight), and their self-assessment of their own skill development following feedback sessions. Results indicated that athletes perceived their coaches' feedback as constructive overall. Furthermore, athletes reported significant improvements in their skills, particularly in self-monitoring and tactical application, after receiving feedback. While no significant differences were found in these perceptions based on demographic factors (age, sex, years of experience), the study concludes that high-quality, well-communicated feedback is a critical component of athlete development. The findings support the implementation of programs to further enhance coaches' feedback delivery techniques
Curriculum-based Ideological and Political Education in Comprehensive English Courses Under the Background of New Liberal Arts
Against the backdrop of the “New Liberal Arts” initiative, which emphasizes interdisciplinary integration, value orientation, and social responsiveness, higher foreign language education is required to transcend the traditional focus on linguistic skills and integrate ideological and political guidance into teaching practice. This study explores the implementation path and effectiveness of Curriculum-based Ideological and Political Education (CIPE) in Comprehensive English courses, a core course for non-English majors in Chinese universities. Adopting an action research approach, the study was conducted with 86 first-year non-English major students (divided into an experimental group and a control group) from a university in eastern China over a 16-week semester. Research tools included teaching design schemes (with CIPE elements integrated for the experimental group), pre/post-language proficiency tests, pre/post-ideological cognition questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews with students and teachers. Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0, while qualitative data were coded via Nvivo 12.0. Results showed that: 1) The experimental group outperformed the control group in both language proficiency (e.g., reading comprehension, writing coherence) and ideological literacy (e.g., cultural confidence, social responsibility); 2) Students in the experimental group demonstrated higher recognition of the integration of CIPE into English teaching, reporting enhanced interest in cross-cultural communication and a deeper understanding of Chinese values; 3) Teachers involved in the study reported improved ability to identify and integrate ideological elements into textbook content. The findings confirm that integrating CIPE into Comprehensive English courses under the New Liberal Arts framework can achieve the "dual goals" of linguistic competence cultivation and value guidance, providing empirical support for the reform of foreign language education in the New Liberal Arts era
A Qualitative Study on the Role of Music in Enhancing Divergent Thinking and Creative Writing in High School Students
This study explores the integration of music into creative writing pedagogy to enhance divergent thinking and narrative expression among high school students. Grounded in the theoretical frameworks of Guilford and Torrance, and supported by findings in cognitive neuroscience, the research examines how selected Gott Tanzte by E Nomine and The Castle by Nobuo Uematsu affect students’ ideation, emotional engagement, and narrative structure. Using a qualitative approach, in-depth interviews were conducted with ten students across three secondary schools in Xiamen, China. Findings revealed that music functioned as a cognitive and emotional catalyst, stimulating fluency, flexibility, and originality in student writing. Students reported more vivid imagery, emotionally expressive content, and coherent narrative structures, with music often serving as both inspiration and organizational guide. Some challenges were noted, particularly in revision phases, highlighting the need for flexible, personalized application. These results suggest that music can be a powerful pedagogical tool for fostering creativity, emotional literacy, and student motivation in writing classrooms. Implications for differentiated instruction and curriculum design are also discussed
Exploring the Impact of Sustainable Packaging on Chinese Consumers’ Perception of Food Products’ Effectiveness
This study employs a mixed methods approach to investigate the impact of sustainable packaging on Chinese consumers’ perceptions of food products, integrating a large-scale survey of 1,000 urban consumers with age-stratified focus groups. Set against the backdrop of rising consumption, environmental awareness, and waste management challenges in developing countries like China, the study aims to analyze consumer attitudes, identify key adoption factors, and model the influence of sustainable packaging on perceived product quality, willingness to pay premium prices, and purchase intent. Anchored in the Theory of Planned Behavior and Diffusion of Innovation frameworks, the study examines the effects of packaging sustainability claims, materials, and design as independent variables, with consumer perception metrics as dependent variables and demographics such as age, income, and education as moderators. Hypotheses propose that sustainable packaging positively influences perceived quality and willingness to pay, even when demographic controls are applied. The literature review highlights contrasts between developed and developing country findings, emphasizing Chinese consumers’ growing environmental concern tempered by skepticism toward green marketing claims, thereby underscoring the relevance and significance of this research for both business strategy and public policy formulation
Analysis on the Teaching Competence Competitions and Relevant Recommendations to Promote Teachers’ Comprehensive Abilities in Higher Vocational Colleges
By systematically comparing the evaluation rubrics of the Hunan “Chuyi Cup” Vocational Teachers’ Competency Competition with those of the national “SFLEP Cup” Foreign Language Teaching Contest, this paper identifies divergent assessment foci employed to gauge the professional competencies of higher-vocational English teachers. The study explicates the intrinsic relationships and mediating mechanisms through which teaching competitions influence teacher capacity building, drawing on empirical evidence of both exemplary practices and recurrent deficiencies observed in contest performances. On this basis, the paper proposes targeted recommendations for enhancing instructional competence, thereby furnishing a validated pathway for the sustained professional growth of English teachers in the vocational sector
Rapid Combination Therapy for Major Depression SNT with Stellate Ganglion Block in a Multicenter RCT
This randomized controlled trial of 90 adults with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) found that combining Stanford Neuromodulation Therapy (SNT) with Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) yielded significantly superior antidepressant effects compared to either treatment alone. At the primary endpoint of Week 4, the SNT+SGB combination produced a significantly greater reduction in depressive severity on the HAMD-17 than both SGB monotherapy and SNT monotherapy, with a more rapid onset of action and higher response rates, all while maintaining a favorable safety profile. These results demonstrate the clinical potential of a combined mechanism approach that engages both neural circuit and autonomic targets for a more effective treatment of MDD
