The relation of second language acquisition, instructed second language acquisition, and language teaching from the lens of second language tense-aspect
No full textThis article examines the relationships between second language acquisition (SLA), instructed second language acquisition (ISLA), and language teaching by examining them from the lens of the research on the acquisition and teaching of second language (L2) tense-aspect in the last 20 years (2000–2021). Review 1 examines 56 instructional effect studies on the acquisition of L2 tense-aspect, and Review 2 examines 38 pedagogical proposals for the teaching of L2 tense-aspect. The reviews investigate to what extent instructional effect studies and pedagogical proposals with tense-aspect as the target of investigation and instruction (a) provide a linguistic description of the instructional target, (b) engage with previous research, (c) implement results from previous research to design assessment or instruction, and (d) include elaborate descriptions of teaching interventions and teaching materials. The results show that there are clear attempts to establish connections between research and practice. However, neither instructional effect studies nor pedagogical proposals always engage with the SLA literature on the acquisition of tense-aspect; nor do they engage fully with language teaching

No full textPrograma de Doctorat: Traducció, Gènere i Estudis CulturalsLa tesi analitza la llengua de l’humor gràfic d’actualitat de temàtica política de la premsa generalista en català i els mecanismes de què es val per generar comicitat. Parteix d’un marc teòric extens, i de l’estudi de trenta acudits gràfics i tires còmiques del període comprès entre el setembre i el desembre de 2017.
La recerca abraça la caracterització de la llengua respecte a la gramàtica, la lexico semàntica, la cohesió, la retòrica i la seqüència textual; el destriament dels mecanismes humorístics que intervenen en la generació de l’humor; l’observació de la contribució de la pragmàtica lingüística per a l’estudi de la producció d’aquesta comicitat, i l’establiment del model de llengua emprat, tenint en compte el registre lingüístic i el grau de subjecció a l’estàndard i a la normativa. Finalment, determina el rol de la imatge en la transmissió del missatge.La tesis analiza la lengua del humor gráfico de actualidad de temática política de la prensa generalista en catalán y los mecanismos de los que se vale para generar comicidad. Parte de un marco teórico extenso, y del estudio de treinta chistes gráficos y tiras cómicas del periodo comprendido entre septiembre y diciembre de 2017.
La investigación abraza la caracterización de la lengua con respecto a la gramática, la lexicosemántica, la cohesión, la retórica y la secuencia textual; el discernimiento de los mecanismos humorísticos que intervienen en la generación del humor; la observación de la contribución de la pragmática lingüística para el estudio de la producción de esta comicidad, y el establecimiento del modelo de lengua empleado, teniendo en cuenta el registro lingüístico y el grado de sujeción al estándar y a la normativa. Finalmente, determina el rol de la imagen en la transmisión del mensaje.The thesis examines the language of graphic humour with political subject matter in the Catalan general interest press, and the mechanisms used to create its comic effect. It starts with an extensive theoretical framework, and studies thirty graphic jokes and comic strips dating from the period between September and December 2017.
The research focuses on the characterisation of the language in terms of its grammar, lexical semantics, cohesion, rhetoric and textual sequence. It breaks down the comic mechanisms involved in the creation of the humour, focuses on the contribution of linguistic pragmatics in order to study of how this comic effect is achieved, and considers how the language model used is established, taking into account the linguistic register and the degree of subjection to standards and rules. Finally, the role of the image conveying the message is ascertained

L'economia circular emergeix com una alternativa, emfatitzant la recuperació de recursos. Aquesta tesi aborda el buit entre els corrents de residus i la demanda de recursos, centrant-se en aigües residuals del processament lácti i altres fonts. Mitjançant una investigació exhaustiva, identifica solucions biotecnològiques per a la valorització, incloent la Remoció Biològica de Fosfats i el bioassecatge. La viabilitat econòmica es veu afavorida per l'habilitat del bioassecatge de reduir eficientment el contingut de humitat. Els índexs de rendiment mostren resultats ambientals atractius, i les avaluacions tecnoeconòmiques revelen potencial d'estalvi. La tesi explora usos innovadors, com microalgues i bacteris fototròpics purpures per a la producció de biomassa rica en nutrients i proteïnes. Reconeixent les limitacions tècniques i legals, la recerca defensa rutes de valorització sostenibles per recolzar pràctiques circulars.The global population growth forecasts increasing demands for raw materials and energy, exacerbating the unsustainable linear economy's pitfalls. The circular economy emerges as a vital alternative, emphasizing resource recovery and reutilization. This thesis addresses the gap between abundant waste streams and by-products and resource demand, focusing on resource recovery from dairy processing wastewater and other sources. Through comprehensive research, it identifies viable biotechnological solutions for valorization, including Enhanced Biological Phosphorus Removal and biodrying technology. Economic feasibility is enabled by the biodrying's ability to reduce moisture content efficiently. Performance indices demonstrate appealing environmental outcomes, while techno-economic assessments reveal cost-saving potential. The thesis also explores innovative uses for recovered products, such as Microalgae and Purple Phototrophic Bacteria for nutrient rich biomass and protein production. Acknowledging technical limitations and legal constraints, the research advocates for sustainable valorization routes to support circular industrial practices, contributing to a more resilient future.El crecimiento global de la población augura un aumento en la demanda de materias primas y energía. La economía circular se presenta como una alternativa al modelo lineal tradicional, priorizando la recuperación y reutilización de materiales. Esta tesis explora soluciones biotecnológicas para la valorización de residuos, incluyendo aguas residuales del procesamiento lácteo y otras fuentes. La investigación identifica técnicas como la eliminación biológica de fósforo y el biosecado. La viabilidad económica se ve favorecida por la capacidad del biosecado para reducir eficientemente el contenido de humedad. Los índices de rendimiento muestran resultados ambientales atractivos. La evaluación tecnoeconómica revela un potencial de ahorro de costos. La tesis explora usos innovadores para los productos recuperados, como microalgas y bacterias fototrópicas púrpuras para la producción de biomasa rica en nutrientes y proteínas. Anàlisi de la implementació de l'aprenentatge cooperatiu segons el model CA/AC en mestres tutors i mestres d'educació física
No full textInnovació i Intervenció EducativesL’objectiu d’aquesta recerca és analitzar la implementació de l’aprenentatge cooperatiu (AC) segons el model Cooperar per Aprendre/Aprendre a Cooperar (CA/AC) en mestres tutors i mestres d’educació física (EF). El programa busca una implicació i coordinació de tots els docents del mateix centre per tal d’ensenyar als seus alumnes a través de l’AC i tot el que comporta. La recerca s’ha desenvolupat en un grup de mestres tutors i d’EF que formaven part de l’assessorament del programa CA/AC durant un curs acadèmic (2017-2018), hi han participat 7 centres educatius amb 3-4 mestres per cada centre i com a mínim un d’ells és el mestre d’EF. En els resultats obtinguts es vol mostrar les diferències que hi ha entre els mestres tutors i d’EF quan apliquen la cohesió de grup, la formació d’equips, les estructures cooperatives i el pla d’equip. També es recull el procés reflexiu dels docents sobre l’AC.The aim of this research is to analyse the implementation of cooperative learning (CL) according to Cooperative to Learning/Learning to Cooperative (CL/LC) model in general teacher and physical education (PE) teachers. The program seeks the involvement and coordination of all the teachers of the same school in order to teach their students through CL and all that it entrails. The research has been carried out in a group of tutors and PE teachers who have been part of the advice of the CL/LC program during an academic year (2017-2018), 7 schools have participated with 3-4 teachers for each school and at least one of them in the PE teacher school. The results shows the differences between tutor teachers ad PE teachers when they apply group cohesion, team formation, cooperative structures and the team plan. The reflective process of the teachers on the CL is also collected

La influència de la natura en la creativitat infantil: una perspectiva neuroeducativa
No full textPrograma de Doctorat: Innovació i Intervenció educativesLa recerca que es presenta busca oferir una mirada de la natura centrada en la creativitat, per tal d’observar-ne la seva influència. Per a l’anàlisi d’aquesta relació ens hem basat en tres elements fonamentals: la motricitat, el joc lliure i l’educació estètica, ja que són les formes principals d’expressió de la creativitat en els infants. Per tal de dur a terme la recerca s’ha realitzat la història de vida del projecte de l’Institut Escola Josep Ma. Xandri, de Sant Pere de Torelló, documentant els passos que s’han anat seguint des de la idea inicial de naturalitzar el pati fins a l’ús dels espais exteriors i comuns. A través de les dades recollides, juntament amb una extensa i acurada recerca bibliogràfica, s’ha pogut comprovar l’impacte positiu que suposa la natura en la creativitat dels infants, així com en el seu desenvolupament harmònic i integral.The research presented wants to offer a vision of nature focused on creativity, in order to observe its influence. For the analysis of this relationship, we have based on three fundamental elements: motility, free play and aesthetic education, as they are the main forms of expression of creativity in children.. In order to carry out the research, we have documented the story of the process of Josep Maria Xandri School, in Sant Pere de Torelló. We have explained the steps followed from the initial idea of naturalizing the school yard to the use of the outdoor common spaces. Through the collected data, along with an extensive and careful bibliographical research, we have been able to verify the positive impact that nature has on children's creativity, as well as on their harmonious and integral development
Building Professional Identity during Pre-Service Teacher Education
No full textThis article explores how university learning and the period of school
placement can contribute to identity development understood as a dynamic
and evolving process. From this perspective, we understand the
teacher’s professional identity as an ongoing process of interpretation
and re-interpretation of experiences that are shaped in professional
spaces of relationship with others, where each person makes different
processes of identification, representations, and attributions, creating
a spiral of continuous construction or reconstruction. It is thus a phenomenon
of social interaction. Data collection involved eight students,
their school tutors, and university teachers within the framework of
4th-year school placements. Data analysis was organised around three
dimensions of the research project: the teacher him/herself, the bond
between students and the educational community, and the relationship
between the school and the university. The results highlighted the need
to improve the practicum, especially at the university level. Both school
and university tutors are crucial in promoting and guiding dialogical
processes of knowledge construction with oneself, others, and the
world. However, the university has an added responsibility in this key
relational process; university tutors must improve their role as mediators
between students and school tutors to contribute to the development
of the teaching identity in a complex and dynamic way

No full textMás allá del indudable resurgir del podcast, su presencia en la oferta de algunas emisoras españolas merece un análisis detallado. Este estudio presenta el estudio de dicha oferta, así como una aproximación a los retos e interrogantes que hay tras la producción de podcasts nativos, de consumo exclusivo vía web. Los últimos responsables de la programación radiofónica deben lidiar con la tradicional parrilla de programas en flujo y añadir ahora la gestión de un catálogo de podcasts. El análisis cuantitativo se combina con el cualitativo a través de entrevistas a algunos de los máximos responsables de decidir cómo deben convivir estas dos ofertas radiofónicas complementarias. Los resultados muestran que de momento el podcast podría quedar definido como un producto cultural más que como un producto de una industria cultural.Beyond the undoubted revival of the podcast, its presence in the offer of some Spanish radio stations deserves a detailed analysis. This study presents the analysis of this offer, as well as an approach to the challenges and questions behind the production of native podcasts, exclusively for web consumption. People ultimately responsible for radio programming has to deal with the traditional program schedule, in flow, and now has to add the management of a catalog of podcasts. The quantitative analysis is combined with the qualitative analysis through interviews with some of the top managers responsible for deciding how these two complementary radio offers should coexist. Results show that so far podcasts could be defined as a cultural product rather than a product of a cultural industry
