The Role of Management School’s Committees in the Implementation of Public Elementary School Education
The purpose of this research is to investigate the role of school committee empowerment management in a public elementary school unit in Plakat Tinggi District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The qualitative descriptive technique is used in the research process, which includes observation, interviews, and documentation. The Chairperson/Management of the School Committee, Principal, Teachers, Parents/Guardians of Pupils, and Students from Plakat Tinggi District, Musi Banyuasin Regency served as research subjects. The findings (1) school committees have a planned program based on the school’s requirements, requests, and ideas; (2) In comparison to the program for establishing the Organizational Structure and Work Program, the program for producing the Statutes and Bylaws is pretty good. (3) The Empowerment Management of the School Committee as Fundraising and Educational Resources from the Community and in Following Up Aspirations, Ideas, Complaints, Suggestions, and Criticism from the Community and Student Guardians is quite good in relation to the School Committee fundraising and carrying out its functions and duties following up on complaints, suggestions, criticisms, and aspirations from students, parents/guardians, and the community
Specialized Job Market Management to Help Graduates
This study aims to find out and identify: (1) Implementation of the Special Job Fair (BKK) at SMK Negeri 1 Gelumbang; Obstacles faced at BKK SMK Negeri 1 Gelumbang. This study is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects were the Head of BKK, BKK staff, Principal of SMK N 1 Gelumbang, and alumni at SMK Negeri 1 Gelumbang. Data collection techniques were interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis technique was carried out in four stages: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, (4) data withdrawal. The results of the research showed (1) Implementation of BKK SMK Negeri 1 Gelumbang Activities is carried out through Planning, Implementation, Supervision; (2) Obstacles in implementing BKK SMK Negeri 1 Gelumbang activities are internal and external obstacles
The Influence of the Principal’s Leadership Style and Physical Work Environment on Teacher’s Performance
This study aims to determine and analyze (1) the influence of the principal’s leadership style on teacher’s performance; (2) the influence of the work environment on teacher’s performance; and (3) the influence of leadership style and work environment partially or jointly on teacher’s performance. This research is a quantitative research with partial correlation method. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri Ilir Barat I Palembang with 126 teachers as respondents. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. Validity test uses construction validity and content validity. While the reliability test uses Cronbachh’s Alpha. The analysis prerequisite test used the normality test, linearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and multilinearity test, and the data were analyzed using simple regression and multiple regression techniques. The results showed that: (1) there was a positive and significant effect of the principal’s leadership style on the performance of State Vocational High School teachers in Ilir Barat I Palembang with a presentation of 22%; (2) There is a positive and significant effect of the work environment on the performance of State Vocational High School teachers in Ilir Barat I District, Palembang with a presentation of 19.4%; and (3) there is a positive and significant influence of the principal’s leadership style with the work environment on teacher’s performance. State Vocational High School in Ilir Barat I District, Palembang with a presentation of 21.8% while 78.2% was determined by other factors not included in this study
Government’s Strategy in Maintaining Economic Resilience during the Covid-19 Pandemic
The threat of recession stalks the world’s economies, including Indonesia. It has also been warned by the world’s economists of the coming storm of global recession. This is evidenced by the slowdown in global economic growth, namely the United States, China and the European Union. This threat is a non-military threat, so it is necessary to determine a strategy to deal with it so that the Indonesian economy can survive. This paper aims to examine the Indonesian government’s strategy in anticipating the economic impact of Covid-19 through fiscal and monetary policies. This research uses literature study with a descriptive approach. The conclusion that can be drawn is that the government needs to continue to evaluate and adjust policies according to developing conditions
Impact of the French Revolution and the Napoleon Wars on Industry Mobility, The Military and The Economy in England Country
The subject matter occurred at the start of the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars which caused various problems such as poverty caused by damage to the industry through various continental blockades which triggered an increase in prices resulting in an economic crisis and had an impact on increasing government spending on war costs. The purpose of this study is to find out how the impact of the French Revolution and Napoleonic wars on the industrial, military, and economic mobility of the British state which focuses on the struggle for power aimed at conquering it. Thus, researchers use quantitative methods that use literature studies by collecting various data and information which are then processed to produce precise and accurate conclusions according to the facts that have occurred or will occur. This war has a long-term impact that builds inhibits the development of the world economy. The results of the war research have destroyed economic resources, agriculture and factories were all abandoned due to the war which resulted in people not having enough money to buy basic necessities and having to defend themselves. The strategy of the UK was to continue to borrow heavily for its war expenditure at relatively low rates. However, Britain's tax rate did not change much as long as it earned a peacetime surplus that offset the wartime deficit and paid off the mounting war debt
Management of Regular School Operational Assistance Funds
This study aims to describe the management of the regular school operational fund which is the only source of financing in SMP Negeri 01 Belitang. Regular school operational fund management at this school consists of Budget Planning, Budget Execution, Budget Evaluation and Accountability. The method used in this research is field research using qualitative analysis with a descriptive approach. In this study, the data sources were obtained from the principal, vice principal, and treasurer, laboratory assistant, librarian and committee. Data collection techniques and procedures in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. In school financing management, the regular school operational fund budget planning at SMP Negeri 01 Belitang has been carried out by the manager according to the education financing standards and technical instructions contained in the school activity plan and budget which is synchronized with the school work plan. The implementation of the regular school operational fund budget from receipts and expenditures is recorded and reported in accordance with the technical guidelines for regular school operational fund, and SMP Negeri 01 Belitang has followed the guidelines listed in the regular school operational fund technical guidelines, the allocations of which have been arranged in the school activity plan and budget. Evaluation, accountability and supervision of the BOS fund budget are in accordance with school operational fund management standards, internally by the school operational fund manager for SMP Negeri 01 Belitang and externally by the district school operational fund Management Team, the inspectorate at the end of each stage and the Provincial Supreme Audit Agency
The Role of MGMP in Developing Professional Competence of Indonesian Language Teachers
The problems raised in this study are How is the role of Subject Teacher Deliberation (MGMP) in developing the professional competence of Indonesian language teachers at SMPN 21 Bengkulu City and How is the form of factors inhibiting the role of Subject Teacher Deliberation (MGMP) in developing the professional competence of Indonesian language teachers at SMPN 21 Bengkulu City. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of Subject Teacher Conference (MGMP) in developing the professional competence of Indonesian language teachers at SMPN 21 Bengkulu City and the form of inhibiting factors of Subject Teacher Conference (MGMP) in developing the professional competence of Indonesian language teachers at SMPN 21 Bengkulu City. The results of this study indicate that the development of professional competence of Indonesian language teachers at SMP N 21 Bengkulu City. The first role of MGMP as a change or update in improving teacher professionalism. Creating a conducive atmosphere in active learning. The second role of MGMP as a mediator to improve teacher competence in MGMP Indonesian language at the school level. MGMP's third role as a supporting agent MGMP as a supporting agent, because MGMP facilitates teachers to be able to make various innovations in classroom management and school management
Students’ Perception of the Use Google Translate in English Learning
The purpose of this study is to ascertain how students view Google Translation as an aid for learning English. The pervasive usage of Google Translation by college students is what inspired this study. In order to better understand how students perceive using Google Translation to study English, researchers conducted research. Two research questions have been developed to address the aforementioned issues. The first is the proportion of students in the English Department who use Google Translate to learn English, and the second is how the students themselves view using Google Translate to learn English. Researchers utilize a quantitative descriptive research strategy in the interim to address defined research questions. In this study, two sets of questionnaires were utilized as the instruments: the first set was used to gather data for the first research question, and the second set was used to gather data for the second research question. Respondents to this survey were enrolled full-time in STKIP Muhammadiyah Pagar Alam's English Department for the academic year 2022–2023. They were all chosen through purposeful sampling. The results of this study show that STKIP Muhammadiyah Pagar Alam students in the English Department utilize Google Translate to learn English since they occasionally have trouble understanding it, especially while doing translation work. They make use of technology to assist them in tasks like translation, diction, checking for synonyms and antonyms, and checking pronunciation. Additionally, they have a favorable opinion of Google Translation as a tool for learning English, with the majority of their "yes" responses indicating that it aids in the process
Improving Students’ Reading Comprehension by Using K-W-L (Know, Want to Know, Learned) Strategy
This study aimed to find out the impacts of the use K-W-L strategy in improving reading comprehension among the twelfth grade students of SMA Mandiri Palembang and to know whether there was a significant difference on reading comprehension between students who were taught using K-W-L strategy and those who were not. This study used quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent pretest-posttest design. The population of the study was the twelfth grade students of SMA Mandiri Palembang, and the sample was taken by using convenience sampling technique. The total number of sample was 54 students, 27 students belonged to experimental group and 27 students belonged to control group. In collecting data, the researcher used test. The test was given twice to experimental and control groups, as a pretest and posttest. The data of students’ pretest and posttest were analyzed by using independent sample t-test and paired sample t-test in SPSS 22 program. The finding showed that the p-output from paired sample t-test 0.000 was lower than 0.05 and t-value 8.985 was higher than t-table with df=26 (1.705). Then, from the independent sample t-test showed that the p-output 0.000 was lower than 0.05 and t-value 5.022 was higher than t-table 1.674. Therefore, it can be concluded that there was a significant difference on students’ reading comprehension achievement who were taught by using K-W-L strategy and those who are not at SMA Mandiri Palembang
Analysis of Improving the Results of the Hang Style Long Jump with the Play Method of Class X Students
This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the increase in the results of the long jump hanging style (Hang Style) with the playing method of class X SMA Semendawai Barat, OKU Timur. This research uses classroom action research. The sample in this study were 30 students of class X IPA at SMA Negeri Semendawai Barat, OKU Timur. The data analysis technique used in this study was descriptive qualitative and qualitative. For data collection, syllabus, lesson plans and assessment rubrics were used. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the increase in long jump results through playing in class X IPA students at SMA Semendawai Barat, OKU Timur was marked by an increase in the average value of students. The average score of students in pre-action activities was 68.89 with a complete percentage of 33.54%. This condition experienced an increase in the average score of students in cycle I, which was 78.33 and the percentage of completeness was 70.12%. However, this increase still has not reached the target previously set. Then after continuing to cycle II the average value of the long jump of students again increased by 83.45 with a completeness percentage of 90.35%. This shows that the targets previously set have been achieved so that the research was stopped in cycle II. The long jump learning process uses a playing approach to jump over used motorcycle tires and used cardboard which is dynamic and fun. Students actively carry out the task and observe the movement of the long jump technique and discuss with friends. All aspects of the assessment are controlled by students
