    Rhetorical Structure of Method Sections of Postgraduate Thesis in English Education Study Program Students

    The method section of a thesis is crucial because it conveys the information upon which the study's validity is ultimately evaluated. The method section describes the procedure, instruments, design, data acquisition, and data analysis, among other components. Students may encounter several obstacles when composing a thesis, including the rhetorical issue. This study examines the rhetorical structure of the methodology section of a graduate thesis. This investigation employed a fundamental content analysis with quantitative methodology. The data was collected from 50 English education postgraduate theses at the University of Bengkulu. The results indicate that five Moves occurred in the thesis with varying frequencies. Moves 2, 3, and 4 occur most frequently, followed by Move 5, with Move 1 occurring least frequently. Furthermore, this research presents fifteen communicative purposes as Steps. 2 Steps are Obligatory (M2S1 and M3S2), 5 Steps are Conventional (M2S2, M2S3, M3S3, M4S1, M4S2), 7 Steps are Optional (M1S1, M3S1, M4S3, M5S2, M5S3, M5S4, M5S5), and 1 Step is non-obvious (M5S1). In conclusion, this study provides information about the rhetorical structure of the method sections of a thesis in order to heighten students' awareness of the significance of the three Obligatory movements in the method section. Students can use the framework or model presented in this study to present important information and construct a strong argument in the methodology section

    This study aims to examine the role of the Formula 1 game model (Run, Jump, Throw) in locomotor activity. The method in this study uses a qualitative approach to the type of literature study. This study seeks to explore document studies regarding the study of the Formula 1 game model (Run, Jump, Throw) in general and then relate it to the physical learning process in SDN 67 Palembang. Because nature of physical education in elementary schools is an educational process that aims to build the growth and development of students from the physical, intellectual, movement skill, and attitude aspects that are carried out through physical activity or gestures so that they become healthy, intelligent, skilled human beings, and virtuous character so that it can have a good influence on the quality of his life in the future. It is necessary to pay attention to the implementation of physical education in schools because in supporting the growth and development of students it is also determined by the implementation of physical education in schools. Physical education teachers must be more creative in optimizing the developed facilities and infrastructure. If the physical education teacher is creative, then he is able to create something new, or modify an existing one, but present it in the most attractive way possible, so that students will be more interested and enjoy participating in the physical education learning process

    Transformation of Educational Management in Shaping the Character of Santri at the Purba Baru Musthafawiyah Traditional Islamic Boarding School

    The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of educational management on the character development of students at the Musthafawiyah Purba Baru Traditional Islamic Boarding School in Mandailing Natal Regency, North Sumatra Province. This is a descriptive qualitative study in which data was gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included foundation administrators, pesantren leaders and vice-chairmen, teachers, and students. According to the findings of the study, the transformation process of educational management in forming the character of students at the Musthafawiyah Purba Baru Traditional Islamic Boarding School, Mandailing Natal Regency, North Sumatra Province, has been implemented in the form of a clean, honest, disciplined, trustworthy, independent, respectful, and simple character carried out through yellow book learning activities. Kyai, teachers, hostel supervisors, peers, and yourself all internalize these character values. Despite the fact that it is not optimally responsive to the times and has yet to determine the focus of character development

    Teacher performance is an important element in achieving the goals of educational institutions. Therefore, educational institutions must be able to maximize the factors that can affect teacher performance, which are the principal’s leadership style and teacher motivation. This study aims to analyze the effect of the principal’s leadership style and teacher motivation on teacher performance in SMK Negeri throughout the Kayuagung District. This type of research is quantitative research. Data collection tool using a questionnaire. Data analysis using multiple regression tests. The results of the study stated that there was an influence of the principal’s leadership style and teacher motivation on the performance of teachers in State Vocational Schools throughout the Kayuagung District. To improve their performance, teachers must have high motivation and support from the leadership of the principal who can keep the teacher’s motivation always in good condition so that the teaching and learning process can run effectively

    Students’ Perception of the Game of Football in Physical Education Learning at the Junior High School Level of Pemulutan Sub-District

    This study aims to determine students’ perceptions of football games in physical education learning at the junior high school level. Based on (1) students’ perception of knowledge about the game of soccer, (2) perception of the teacher’s teaching style, (3) perception of the media used is easy to use. This research is descriptive quantitative research. The results of this study showed that (1) students’ perception of knowledge about the game of soccer obtained a score of 86.7% with a very good category, (2) the perception of the teacher’s teaching style obtained a score of 82.50% with a good category, (3) perception of the media used obtained a value of 80% with a good category, (4) Student perceptions of the need for the development of football game models in physical education learning obtained a score of 95% with a very positive category. The results of this study show that students’ perceptions of the development of football games in physical education learning at the junior high school level are positive, for that it is necessary to develop football games in physical education learning in order to create innovative and varied learning

This is what makes many people take the easy path by making everything legal to fulfill all their wants and needs. This article provides information in the form of a review of materialism in the study of philosophy both in the realms of understanding religion, economics, politics and education. The writing method is carried out by article review. Furthermore, the results obtained show that materialism in religion is motivated by the understanding of God as creator, in economics it shows that economic structure is the basis of every historical movement. The history of fashion is based on the material forces of production and their reciprocal relationships. Then in politics it is proven by a wise attitude full of wisdom in education. Materialization, or the process of making everything materially valuable, has occurred throughout the Indonesian education system

This research was conducted at SD Negeri 3 Tanjung Agung which is located at Jalan Lintas Baturaja, Pulau Panggung Village, Tanjung Agung District, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra Province. This research was conducted starting from February to May 2022. Collecting data and information obtained by researchers while in the field by directly obtaining surveys and documentation. The results state that almost all students can implement character education in elementary schools with habituation that is scheduled and used by school teachers

    This study aims to analyze how the principal’s leadership is implemented and find out the obstacles faced in increasing teacher professionalism at SDN 123 Palembang. The research method used is a qualitative method that captures information from natural conditions in an object’s life that is associated with a problem, both theoretically and practically. This study’s process included data collection and compilation, as well as data analysis and interpretation. The study’s findings indicate that teachers play an important role in preparing potential human resources. As a result, teachers must take an active role and position themselves as professionals to meet the demands of the times. In this case, the teacher serves as an educator and mentor, providing direction and demanding that students learn rather than simply transferring knowledge. The teacher’s educational background is a supporting factor, as all teachers at SDN 123 are undergraduate graduates, and some of them are community leaders in their neighborhood, while the inhibiting factor is a lack of teaching facilities
