A responsabilidade social das organizações com liderança no feminino
The article aims to understand the contribution of female leadership in the formulation and implementation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) policies. A qualitative approach was adopted through interviews with fifteen leaders. The content analysis was conducted using Nvivo 12 software. The results show a multidimensional contribution of female leadership in CSR. In the social sphere, internal initiatives are highlighted - training, work-family-social life balance, equal opportunities, and externally - suppliers and community. Environmental management of resources and waste and environmental awareness were highlighted. Integration of stakeholders was crucial for the leaders. This is an exploratory study, and one of the few that reveals the contribution of female leaders in CSR. It offers an additional argument for the integration of women in top positions and definition of a policy of equal opportunities and resultsO artigo objetiva conhecer o contributo da liderança no feminino na formulação e implementação de políticas de responsabilidade social organizacional (RSO). Ancestors, animacy & alterity in the work of Mary Sibande & Owanto
This article explores how French-Gabonese artist Owanto (b. 1953, Paris) and South African artist Mary Sibande (b. 1982, Baberton) visualize their ancestors as more-than-human avatars entangled with plants and critters in multi-media installation art projects. In her 2015 series Feeding My Ancestor, Owanto derives inspiration from the animism of the Gabon-based Bwiti to depict her grandmother Flavienne, and in her 2009-ongoing photographic and sculptural work depicting her ancestrally inspired alter-ego Sophie-Ntombikayise, Sibande echoes the presentism of ancestors in Zulu linguistics. I show how Owanto and Sibande’s respective series model an openness to the spiritual interconnectedness of all planetary inhabitants based on ancestral immaterial epistemologies. By demonstrating multi-species entanglement and care, Owanto and Sibande push at Western understandings of time, space and animacy. Western philosophy has long derided animism, naming it immaterial in all senses of the term, however, Owanto and Sibande’s artworks demonstrate that such a mode of being may be essential in expanding our reality beyond the urgency and destruction of the present
Back to the real life
Back to the real life is born as a MA thesis in Photography at ISIA Urbino, by Elisa Marchesini with the supervision of Armin Linke and Luca Capuano and it has recently been published by Corraini Edizioni.
Elisa Marchesini\u27s photographic approach goes through the direct experience of places and circumstances in a very immersive way, that allows her to imagine and elaborate a personal view of facts and situations that come to life in her photographs. Relationships, stories and shared thoughts are essentials along the way and drive her perception of reality, leading to the creation of a project that embeds all those aspects.

O pacto ecológico europeu no contexto das crises climática, pandémica e de segurança
The European Green Deal (EGD) constitutes a paradigm shift in European integration, giving priority to climate neutrality. The EGD provides a coherent narrative on climate and sustainability, which encompasses all other, including previously unrelated, policy areas. Environmental protection is now framed as making economic sense and considered in the context of economic development. The two latest crises were made to work towards the EGD’s objectives. The pandemic crisis made it possible to establish the link between the short and long term, making economic rationality compatible with the political priorities of the EGD. The need to respond to the pandemic crisis has therefore strengthened the Pact. So did the energy and security crisis triggered by Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. However, since then the EGD’s implementation has been strongly contested on political economy grounds, for alleged over-regulation and social reasons. Those invoked reasons are often based on unsustainable alternatives. Moreover, when ignoring the need to internalise environmental damages and the polluter pays principle, they are also founded on incomplete notions of economic efficiency and social justice

EU-US personal data flows in crisis: how to move forward?
The ‘national security exception’. An ambiguous concept between the good and the bad. The State has a duty to protect its citizens and to prevent horrible situations, such as terrorist attacks, from occurring. George Orwell’s 1984 shows, however, a darker side where the surveillance State is watching its citizens’ every move and thought. How far can the State go? And how does the State try to strike a balance with citizens’ rights? The case of the US and the EU in the context of personal data protection sheds some light on how these conflicting interests can be balanced. Both sides of the Atlantic make use of the national security exception, each within its own historical, cultural, sociological and legal context. Misunderstandings might occur at first sight, but a deeper analysis can reveal the complexities of each system and interesting similarities. To that end, Section 1 starts with an introduction to personal data collection and the US and EU approach to data privacy, showing that the national security exception is relevant for each one of us. Section 2 provides an overview of the EU-US personal data transfer frameworks together with an explanation of their invalidation, focusing on the national security exception. Section 3 explains the national security exception as applied in the US and the EU, followed by discussion and analysis in Section 4. Section 5 concludes this paper by bringing all the discussed topics together
