Problems Faced by Master Trainers in Sign Language Skills Acquisition During In-service Training of Special Education Teachers at District Level Punjab
Effectiveness of these in-service training ensure the productivity of special education teachers and ultimately betterment of teaching-learning environment in the special education institutes. The research titled; issues encountered by master trainers using sign language skills In Punjab, acquisition occurred during in-service training for special education teachers at the district level. The study investigated the obstacles encountered by master trainers when providing special education teacher training, as well as the administrative issues encountered by master trainers during imparting training to special education teachers. The current investigation was descriptive in nature. The data was collected from Special Educators (HI) serving in special education institutes of Punjab through a self-constructed questionnaire which comprises of 32 statements. Instrument was validated through expert opinion and through chronbach Alpha test. The sample of the study was comprised on 100 teachers of students with hearing impairment of which 69 females and 31 were males teachers serving in special education institutes of Punjab. Sample was taken from 5 division of Punjab Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Multan and 20 teachers from each division. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to code the data and analyse it. The major findings revealed that it takes time to establish such techniques and materials to fulfil the demands of special education teachers throughout training. This research was very helpful in bringing new inclinations in the Department of special education for providing a balanced approach towards the professional and personal needs of teachers and trainers. It also helps to understand that teacher training is a difficult, multi-layered undertaking that must be carefully planned, implemented, and critically evaluated against the desired goals. An Analysis of the Relationship Between Family Firm Image with Brand Loyalty and Purchase Intention
This research intends to examine the impact between the conflict of work-family and the psychological distress of permanent employees working in the manufacturing sector of Lahore. We further discussed workplace ostracism which plays the role of mediator in this particular relationship and the moderating role of resilience with specific theory. The study of psychological distress is a vast concept but not still focused in previous studies in this way and this study focused excitedly on it. The pressure that is related to work is known to be a basic issue that applies an impact on employees and also impacts the whole execution of an organization. stress-related issues incorporate high non-appearance, huge turnover, protests by employees, or relational conflicts. The survey was conducted through permanent employees for at least one year working in the manufacturing sector in Lahore. The data was gathered from 230 employees through convenience sampling, an adopted questionnaire with a cross-sectional deductive positivist approach was used, the explanatory research design, and descriptive research. The reliability, correlation, and standard deviation were tested for statistical analysis of research and used process Hayes for mediation moderation analysis. However, the workplace ostracism playing the role of mediating in this particular relationship and the moderating role of resilience exist in this research
Globalization, Oil Price and Manufacturing Output in Pakistan: A Fresh Insight Through ARDL Approach
The objectives of this study are to explore the fluctuation of oil prices impact on manufacturing sector of Pakistan. To check the asymmetric effects of real effective exchange rate on manufacturing sector of Pakistan. We Examined the role of gross capital formation as well as labor force in manufacturing sector of Pakistan and also discussed the globalization relationship with manufacturing sector of Pakistan. This enabled us to recommend the helpful policy to enhance capacity of manufacturing sector of Pakistan. Data is taken from World Development Indicator (WDI) time gap takes from 1995 to 2017 and analyzed through ARDL approach. Social Skills and Students’ Behavior: A Study of Secondary School Students’ Practices
The study was conducted to investigate social skills development in students’ behavior at Secondary Level. All the 10th grade students studying in government schools of the Punjab province were the population of the study. Sampling was carried out through multi-stage sampling. Total 1723 students studying in 10th grade in all the selected schools responded regarding their social skills practices. A scale for measurement of students’ social skills (MOSS) consisting of 27 items regarding social skills was used. The validity of the research tool was ensured through expert opinion about the relevant construct. After validation the MOSS was pilot tested and confirmatory factor analysis was carried out to determine the construct and convergent validity of the scale (MOSS). To determine the reliability of the MOSS scale Cronbach's alpha was applied. The data collected through the scale (MOSS) were analyzed by applying frequency distribution, percentage, mean, independent sample t-test and One-way ANOVA through SPSS. The results revealed that the majority of secondary school students had communication, decision making, cooperation, interpersonal relationship, empathy and critical thinking skills at moderate level and creative thinking skill at low level in their behavior
"Prosecutorial Discretion: An Imperative for Effective Prosecution in the Punjab Criminal Prosecution Service"
In a welfare state, the necessity for a certain level of discretion is widely acknowledged. Discretion plays a crucial role in law enforcement practices and is essential for the effective administration of justice. Within international Criminal Justice Systems, prosecutors have a pivotal responsibility in upholding the rule of law. Given their position within the executive branch, prosecutorial discretion becomes imperative. It is vital to observe that discretion itself is not inherently damaging; however, unchecked and absolute discretion can lead to adverse outcomes. The goal should not be the elimination of discretion, but rather its structured implementation. Within the realm of the criminal justice system, where both the law enforcement agencies and the court possess considerable discretion in pursuit of justice, it follows that the prosecution should also possess a degree of discretion. Without equipping the prosecution with essential discretionary tools, the Punjab Criminal Prosecution Service would be unable to effectively fulfill its role in criminal justice system. Consequently, the time has come to empower the prosecution with the necessary discretion it requires, especially the discretion to decide whether to prosecute or not which stands as a vital prerogative that prosecutors must possess to uphold the justice
Relocating to an Old Age Home: A Qualitative Analysis of Older Adults Living in the Old Age Homes of Punjab, Pakistan
Shifting to old age homes is a rather new concept in Pakistan. However, it is happening. And there is a need to make it an easy transition for the elderly. The idea was to explore all the issues the elderly face while shifting to old age homes so that they can be tackled in the best possible way. This qualitative study was carried out with the help of 22 respondents, including both males and females residing in three major old homes of Punjab. The interview technique was utilized to gather data, and then themes were analyzed. The thematic analysis of the gathered data indicated various themes, including autonomy and old homes, decision and dependability, quality of life, establishing new relationships and emotional reactions to relocation. Other than these themes, lack of a proper transitional process and role of the staff members are also highlighted. The themes that are being identified in the research will help in highlighting all the issues elderly face while shifting to old age homes. Since it is something that is not in accordance with our cultural values, a proper support system is required to make it as smooth as possible
Teacher’s Resilience Role in Mitigating Incivility and Negative Behavioral Interaction of Students Due to Social Media Usage: A Novel Construct
Resilience is considered as "the ability of an individual or group to perform effectively despite exposure to stress or adversity." It is regarded as a measure of how well an individual or group can cope with stress and remain productive after experiencing negative exposure. This study has applied the concept of “Teacher Resilience” by adopting it as an independent variable. In addition, purpose of this study is to examine the novel relationship between “Teacher resilience”, “Student’s incivility” and “negative behavioral interaction of social media usage”. Similarly, this study also aims to examine the impact of Teacher resilience on Student’s incivility and negative behavioral interaction of social media usage. Convenience sampling was selected as a data collection sampling technique as population of the study was unknown and intended to gather the data from educational sector of Pakistan particularly high school institutions. In this context, by considering the convenience of researcher’s data were collected through this sampling technique and total 284 responses were recorded via floating the structured questionnaires. Items of the questionnaire were adapted from previous studies on predefined scales. Furthermore, SPSS was used for data analysis and to present the statistical results. Findings of the study concluded that There is a correlation among “Teacher resilience”, “Student’s incivility” and “Negative behavioral interaction of social media usage and predictor has a profound impact on dependent variables. Further studies may be suggested to examine the similar constructs in different work settings with different methodology, research design and sample size
