    Validity and Reliability Test in Measuring the Use of Siakad in Physics Education Students at Jambi University

    Technology is used in various fields, both in politics, health, education and so on. Especially in the field of education, technology is needed in the field of information to help the learning process that is good, innovative, and creative. Public services in the field of education are very numerous, starting from the use of siakad, mastris, education portals, e-learning, new student admissions services and so on. There are so many academic services that can facilitate us in the learning process, one of which is the siakad mentioned earlier. Siakad is an academic service that is designed and created to manage and become a learning forum. The purpose of organizing siakad is to improve academic services among students. Therefore, Siakad is very much needed, in addition to improving academic services, it is also to inform students that science and technology are very important and can facilitate learning both face-to-face and distance or online. This study was conducted using quantitative methods with a questionnaire distribution method via gform to students of the physics education study program, to find out how satisfied and how interested students are in using educational services (Siakad). from the results obtained, there were 114 student data from 120 questionnaires distributed, this was because some students were not present when the questionnaire was distributed. With this questionnaire distribution method, it can be seen how satisfied Siakad information technology is in helping and facilitating physics education students at Jambi University. The correlation number ranges from 0 (no correlation at all) to 1 (perfect correlation). A correlation number above 0.5 indicates a fairly strong correlation, while below 0.5 the correlation is quite weak

    Linguistic Landscape of Multilingual Informative Signage at Jawa Timur Park 2, Indonesia

    Lack of visibility of information in tourist areas threatens the credibility and image of Indonesian tourism at the global level. In the context of globalization that encourages multilingualism practices, the choice and use of languages on signs becomes a crucial aspect. Therefore, this study highlights how tourist destinations in Indonesia, especially Jawa Timur Park 2, navigate these challenges. This study aims to explore the language displayed on informative signage in the educational tourism destination and visitors' reactions to it. It looks at the linguistic landscape phenomenon from three perspectives, namely Spolsky and Cooper's (1991) taxonomy of signs, Sebba's (2013) language writing, and Garvin and Mathiot's (1968) positive language attitudes. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with the first primary data in the form of phrases, sentences, and paragraphs in informative signage, and the second primary data in the form of visitor statements from questionnaire responses. The findings reveal the existence of multilingual, bilingual, and monolingual sign types to convey detailed information, object names, and place names. In addition, the languages used are Indonesian, English, and scientific language from Greek/Latin. Visually, the language is written in symmetrical, asymmetrical, and mixed language-spatial relationships. The language is written in equivalent, disjoint, and overlapping language-content relationships. The visitors' positive attitudes towards national and international languages are addressed by language loyalty and pride. Thus, this study suggests that tourism officers, sign designers, and tourism policy makers consider language use on monolingual, bilingual, and multilingual signs that are adequate, inclusive, and functional for all visitors. &nbsp

    Female Agency in Selected Song Lyrics of Raye ‘My 21st Century Blues’ Album: A Critical Discourse Analysis

    Music, as a form of cultural production, reflects and responds to societal values, making song lyrics a meaningful site for analysing social issues such as gender and power. This study investigates the representation of female agency in selected lyrics from Raye’s “My 21st Century Blues” album, with the aim of identifying how agency is constructed through the dominant transitivity processes. Using Fairclough’s three-dimensional framework of Critical Discourse Analysis and Abrams’ (1999) conceptualisation of female agency, this study analyses the clauses as the data of this study through Halliday’s transitivity system. The findings show that all types of processes were present in 310 clauses, with the material process as the most frequent (132 clauses or 42.58%), followed by relational and mental processes. Material processes frequently express self-direction, where the singer asserts autonomy through action, while relational and mental processes largely construct self-definition, revealing identity, reflection, and internal struggle. A discursive shift emerges from textual analysis, signalling how Raye positions herself within a particular discourse. These findings are further contextualised within the sociocultural practice of the music industry, where female artists often face marginalisation. Raye’s lyrics thus function as a powerful site for expressing female resistance, identity, and autonomy

    RESPON PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN BAWANG MERAH(Allium ascalonicum L.) PADA PEMBERIAN PLANT GROWTH PROMOTING RHIZOBACTERIA (PGPR) DAN PUPUK NPK

    Tanaman bawang merah  termasuk dalam famili Liliaceae dan merupakan tanaman sayuran semusim, berumur pendek dan diperbanyak baik secara vegetatif menggunakan umbi, maupun generatif dengan biji. Upaya dalam mengatasi peningkatan produksi bawang merah dengan menggunakan pupuk yang sesuai standar dalam budidaya tanaman bawang merah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil terbaik dan optimal pemberian pupuk PGPR dan NPK terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari 2025 sampai April 2025 di desa Manyarejo, Kecamatan Manyar, Gresik. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan satu faktor. Perlakuan satu faktor dengan taraf sebagai berikut P0 = 0  tanpa pemupukan, P1  = 1,2 ml/polybag PGPR, P2     = 1,6 ml/polybag PGPR, P3 = 2,1 ml/polybag PGPR, P4 = 378 g/polybag (150 kg) NPK, P5= 646 g/polybag (250 kg) NPK, P6= 904 g/polybag (350 kg) NPK, terdapat 7 perlakuan yang diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Variabel pengamatan meliputi tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai), jumlah anakan (rumpun), bobot basah umbi per polybag (g), estimasi bobot umbi basah per hektar (ton/ha), bobot umbi kering per polybag (g), bobot umbi kering per hektar (ton/ha). Analisis data yang digunakan adalah ANOVA, uji BNT 5% dan uji korelasi. Dari hasil penelitian terdapat perbedaan nyata pada pemberian dosis pupuk PGPR dan pupuk NPK terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, bobot basah umbi per polybag, bobot kering umbi per polybag, estimasi bobot basah umbi per hektar, estimasi bobot kering umbi per hektar, dan diameter umbi tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.)

    Analisis Stok Karbon pada Sedimen Mangrove di Muara Randusanga Kulon, Kabupaten Brebes

    ABSTRACT Mangrove ecosystems have an important role to play in mitigating global climate change, especially through their ability to absorb and store carbon in sediments. This study aims to analyze the organic carbon content and organic carbon stock per hectare in mangrove sediments in Muara Randusanga Kulon, Brebes Regency, as a coastal area that is vulnerable to ecosystem degradation. The method used is a case study with a quantitative descriptive approach through purposive sampling at three location points, including the front zone (beach), middle zone, and back zone (near pond), with sediment collection up to a depth of 100 cm analyzed using the Wakley and Black method. The results showed that the average soil density was 1.47 g/cm³ with the highest organic carbon content at a depth of 30–50 cm of 1.64%. The highest carbon stock was recorded at the midpoint of 274.52 tonnes C/ha, indicating that zones that are protected from external disturbances and have muddy substrates have greater carbon storage potential. Mangrove sediments in Randusanga Kulon play a significant role as carbon sinks and have great potential in climate change mitigation strategies. The recommendations of this study are the need for zoning-based mangrove conservation, increased mangrove rehabilitation in degraded areas, and strengthening local policies to support the role of coastal ecosystems in sequestering carbon sustainably.  Keywords: Mangroves, Sediments, Organic Carbon    ABSTRAK Ekosistem mangrove memiliki peran penting dalam mitigasi perubahan iklim global, terutama melalui kemampuannya menyerap dan menyimpan karbon dalam sedimen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kandungan karbon organik dan stok karbon organik per hektar dalam sedimen mangrove di Muara Randusanga Kulon, Kabupaten Brebes, sebagai kawasan pesisir yang rentan mengalami degradasi ekosistem. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif melalui purposive sampling pada tiga titik lokasi, meliputi zona depan (bibir pantai), zona tengah, dan zona belakang (dekat tambak), dengan pengambilan sedimen hingga kedalaman 100 cm yang dianalisis menggunakan metode Wakley and Black. Hasil menunjukan bahwa rata-rata densitas tanah sebesar 1,47 g/cm³ dengan dengan kandungan karbon organik tertinggi pada kedalaman 30–50 cm sebesar 1,64%. Stok karbon tertinggi tercatat pada titik tengah sebesar 274,52 ton C/ha, menunjukkan bahwa zona yang terlindung dari gangguan eksternal dan memiliki substrat berlumpur memiliki potensi simpan karbon yang lebih besar. Sedimen mangrove di Randusanga Kulon berperan signifikan sebagai penyerap karbon dan berpotensi besar dalam strategi mitigasi perubahan iklim. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya konservasi mangrove berbasis zonasi, peningkatan rehabilitasi mangrove di area degradasi, dan penguatan kebijakan lokal untuk mendukung peran ekosistem pesisir dalam menyerap karbon secara berkelanjutan.   Kata Kunci: Mangrove, Sedimen, Karbon Organi

    Perjanjian kerja laut adalah kesepakatan antara awak kapal perikanan dengan pemilik kapal perikanan yang memuat persyaratan kerja, jaminan kelayakan kerja, jaminan upah, jaminan kesehatan, jaminan asuransi, jaminan keamanan dan jaminan hukum yang mengacu pada ketentuan peraturan perundang-undangan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis tingkat persepsi nelayan jaring tarik berkantong terhadap implementasi PERMEN KP No 42 Tahun 2016 tentang perjanjian kerja laut (PKL) di PPN Tegalsari Kota Tegal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini analisis deskripstif kualitatif menggunakan skala likert untuk melihat tingkat persepsi nelayan terhadap kebijakan Perjanjian Kerja Laut. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor secara keseluruhan diperoleh sebesar 59% yang menunjukkan posisi persepsi nelayan jaring tarik berkantong di PPN Tegalsari terhadap pengetahuan Kebijakan Perjanjian Kerja Laut masuk dalam kategori sedang.     Peran Trait Kepribadian Conscientiousness dan Iklim Sekolah Dengan Student Engagement SMA

    Background: Student engagement in learning is influenced by various factors, including the personality trait of conscientiousness and school climate.Objective:  This study aims to analyze the influence of these two factors on student engagement in high schools in Bandar Lampung. Method:  This research uses a quantitative approach involving 394 students with Accidental Sampling as the sampling technique. Data collection is done using a student engagement scale (Y), conscientiousness personality trait scale (X1), and school climate scale (X2). Data analysis in this study uses multiple regression with the assistance of JASP software. Results:  The study shows that the conscientiousness personality trait has a significant influence on student engagement, while the school climate contributes to increasing motivation and student engagement. The regression analysis shows an R² value of 0.724, meaning that 72.4% of the variation in student engagement can be explained by conscientiousness and school climate, while 27.6% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Conclusion:  The development of character and a positive school environment can improve student engagement. The results are expected to serve as recommendations for educators and policymakers in designing more effective learning strategies

    Formulation and Antioxidant Activity of Liquid Soap Containing Soursop (Annona muricata L.) Leaf and Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) Seed Extracts by DPPH Assay

    Skin aging is driven by intrinsic and extrinsic factors, with oxidative stress as the main mechanism of extrinsic aging. Natural antioxidants, such as soursop (Annona muricata L.) leaves and soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) seed coats, may serve as alternatives to synthetic antioxidants for skin protection. This study aimed to formulate liquid soap containing extracts of soursop leaves and soybean seed coats, and to evaluate its physicochemical properties and antioxidant activity. Three formulations (F1, F2, F3) with different soybean extract concentrations (0.25%, 0.5%, 1%) were tested for organoleptic properties, pH, foam height, spreadability, homogeneity, and quercetin content using TLC-densitometry. Results showed that F1 had good physical properties, including homogeneity, spreadability (5–7 cm), and suitable pH (9–10). Antioxidant activity was weak in all formulations (IC₅₀ > 250 µg/mL), likely due to low extract levels and soap matrix interactions. TLC-densitometry confirmed the presence of quercetin with an average content of 55.73 ppm (0.189% w/w). In conclusion, the formulated liquid soap demonstrated good physicochemical quality but limited antioxidant activity, indicating the need for further optimization while showing the potential of local herbal ingredients for functional cosmetic development

    Validation of UV-VIS Spectrophotometric Method For The Penetration Test of Pickering Emulsion Diclofenac Diethylamine

    Pickering emulsions are emulsions stabilized by solid particles that adsorb at the interface of both phases, acting as emulsifiers without requiring amphiphilic surface properties (hydrophilic and hydrophobic segments) to stabilize the emulsion (Hutami et al., 2024). This approach allows the formulation to avoid the use of potentially toxic surfactants (Wu et al., 2020). The objective of this study was to validate an analytical method for the penetration test using a Franz diffusion cell for a diclofenac diethylamine Pickering emulsion formulation, ensuring that the UV-Vis spectrophotometric analysis method is reliable by fulfilling all validation requirements. Based on the validated parameters, the assay procedure for the penetration test (Franz diffusion cell) of the diclofenac diethylamine Pickering emulsion using UV-Vis spectrophotometry met the established criteria. The linearity with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.9997, indicating excellent linearity. Precision testing showed a %RSD of 0.608%, indicating good repeatability. Accuracy testing at 80%, 100%, and 120% concentration levels yielded recovery results ranging from 99.822% to 101.157%. The Limit of Detection and Limit of Quantification, calculated from the absorbance at the lowest concentrations, were found to be 6.46×10⁻⁴ ppm and 1.96×10⁻³ ppm, respectively. Kegiatan pengabdian ini merupakan kegiatan dengan tujuan memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa siswi SMK N 1 CERME untuk memberikan masukan terkait dengan terchnopreneurship dan membangun produk mandiri berbasis ektraksi ultrasonik.
