Sentiment Analysis of COVID-19 Vaccination Impact on Twitter Tweets Using NLP Supervised Learning and RNN Classification Comparison
Twitter provides a platform for exchanging information and opinions on global concerns like the COVID-19 epidemic. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we used a collection of around 16,180 tweets to derive inferences regarding public views toward the vaccine impact once immunizations became widely available to the community. We use natural language processing and sentiment analysis techniques to uncover information regarding the public's perception of the COVID-19 vaccine. Our findings demonstrate that people are more pleased about taking COVID-19 shots than they are about some of the vaccines' side effects. We also look at people's reactions to COVID-19 safety measures after they have received the immunizations. In terms of maintaining safety precautions against COVID-19 among the vaccinated population, good attitude outnumbers negative emotion. We also estimate that around 48 percent of individuals have a neutral attitude, 36 percent have a positive opinion, and around 16 percent have a negative opinion towards vaccination. This research will help policymakers better assess public reaction and plan vaccination campaigns, as well as health and safety measures, amid the current global health crisis
AC-Electrokinetic Phenomena for Cell Separation, Electrical Lysis, Detection and Diagnostics on Interdigitate Microelectrodes for Point-of-Care Applications
Cell separation, biomolecules extraction, biomarker detection, and their manipulation are crucial avenues in health care systems. Existing advancements in these areas are beyond the
reach of under-privileged laboratories and health care providers. Hence, we developed
innovative solutions enabling all 4 basic operations in an affordable ($50), reusable, and
disposable interdigitated microelectrode. We devise a non-microfluidic-based cell separation
demonstrating target polystyrene beads separation from binary, and ternary mixture with up to
90% purity and white blood cells (WBC) separation from double-enriched lysed blood with
>80% purity. We then developed high-efficient (>60%) electrical lysis of WBCs for
biomolecules extraction with biomolecule detection and quantification techniques. A DEP-based
method for controllable-DNA-patterning was also developed for various applications. We also
integrated EW and DEP achieving ~800% enhancement in average fluorescent intensity while
reducing coffee ring effect. These findings are estimated to be clinically and commercially viable
thereby pioneering revolution in affordable quality health care
Frequency of Misconceptions About Evolution in Grade 7-12 Biology Textbooks Over Time
Evolution is the unifying idea of biology. Yet it is also one of the most misunderstood ideas in biology. Misconceptions about evolution are common among students, teachers and the general public. However, because it is the central theory of biology and understanding evolution is becoming increasingly important to understanding medicine, agriculture and many other areas of modern life. Textbooks used in secondary schools are likely one of the first introductions a person has to evolution. Teachers who are not fully confident in their own knowledge of evolution will likely rely heavily on textbooks in their teaching. Therefore, misconceptions found in or reinforced by secondary textbooks will likely be transferred to students. The current study sought to explore the prevalence of misconceptions in grade 7-12 life science textbooks, whether the frequency and type of misconceptions has changed over time as well as, how and if textbooks address misconceptions.
Natural Disasters, Institutions, and Economic Recovery: Effects of Hurricane Katrina
This study analyzes the effects of Hurricane Katrina on formal and informal institutions in Louisiana, Florida, and Mississippi to provide insights into the recovery trajectories of the states. I use the synthetic control method to construct counterfactual states. I find that the hurricane had large and lingering effects on population and per capita income in all three states, with differing impacts on formal and informal institutions. In Louisiana, the hurricane led to increases in labor market freedom, minimum wage freedom (i.e. deregulation), and property tax freedom (i.e. tax reduction), along with permanent increases in government spending and the government employment. In Florida, it led to decreases in the above three economic freedom indicators, whereas government spending increased. Results for Mississippi indicate a consistent increase in government spending. Moreover, we find that social capital remained robust to the shock in Louisiana, with no pre-treatment fit in Florida and Mississippi
Process Optimization of 3D Printing with Continuous Fiber Reinforced UV Curable Thermoset Resin
3D printed polymer components cannot be used as structural components due to the 3D printable material property limitations. To improve mechanical properties, a composite 3D printer is developed and studied. Technical aspects of 3D printing with continuous carbon fiber reinforced dual UV and thermal curable thermoset composite were experimented. To optimize the 3D printing process parameters, the effect of printing nozzle size, line spacing of the print, and resin flow rate was studied. To achieve minimum void content and maximum fiber volume fraction, print parameter configurations were studied using microscopic surface roughness analysis. The tensile and flexural properties of 3D printed specimens were tested. Results of the study indicated that impressive mechanical properties of the 3D printed continuous fiber reinforced UV curable thermoset composite can be achieved through the optimization of printing parameters

of elegance, engineering, and craftsmanship, yet still is on a
trajectory to extinction. In a high-speed era of innovation, where
does this tradition find its place?
Lake Geneva, Wisconsin is known as the Ice Boat Capital of the
World. Geneva Lake is surrounded by a tourist town and is a
summer home for many of the Midwest?s wealthiest individuals.
What exists here is a story and tradition of ice boating that is
completely unique. This thesis seeks to tell this story through
a new destination at the heart of downtown, bringing to light
what is unknown to many. Skeeter Yacht Club is a portal of
history, a facility of education, and an establishment dedicated to
bringing all people to the art of building and sailing these wooden
masterpieces

today is based upon efficiency, potential profit, and aesthetics which mutes the

use of research, both in the modern and historical context, a comprehensive
design solution is established with the use of the natural environment and more
emotionally focused spaces
Intergenerational Urban Renewal
Across the United States, there are cities and towns that have been crippled with rundown and
abandoned buildings or lots around their downtown district. Often, nothing is done to fix this
problem which leads to these prime sites being avoided. Additionally, these sites negatively
affect the local economy, environment, equity, and the safety of the general public. Moving
forward it is important for our cities and country to focus on urban infill and redevelopment
projects instead of continuing the suburban sprawl. Architecture plays a pivotal role in
achieving the extent of influence these projects will have on the revival of the urban fabric.
This thesis seeks to find an architectural solution to how an urban redevelopment
project can revitalize an area of a downtown district to the rest of the city by creating a
neighborhood within a dense urban environment through the development and integration
of intergenerational living. This urban redevelopment project consists of the removal of
deteriorating buildings and the vacant land around them which will be replaced with a mixed-use
building and a landscape that reconnects the city back to the site and adjacent waterways.
A catalyst for sustainable urban revival will be formed from this architectural framework

This study focuses on the interaction between humanity, nature, and design and how they can be implemented together to create something that works synergistically as one entity. The proposed idea is to design and develop a high-rise structure in an urban setting. The design will work to include a number of elements influenced heavily by natural passive systems, and work to combine them in order to create more interactive opportunities. New Touch Park
My study is to answer the question how can landscapes themselves be interactive, could they be learning & teaching experiences? Can you learn actively from design? Could a landscape teach you a story of a people or a lesson? Are their existing sites that do these things already that we can learn from them? Could it be replicated? What are their structures and programing that make them successful? My study is also promoting and proposing an environment for learning objectives for young developing children in low income housing, with project elements such as natural playground setting, pushing a narrative of environmentalism and community gathering outreach, help build a connection between the landscape and the neighborhood, while enforcing the narrative that park and REC centers are areas for community, homes, the streets and programs to connect and build a sense of community and a safe environment for children to develop healthy minds and bodies, the restoration of this park from its poor maintenance and engaging conditions. All while avoiding unnecessary gentrification of the predominantly Black-East African community that is present in the area. To answer our question we must first address studies of how children perceive play and what they perceive as learning and look at the history of other successful existing sites have done similar objectives, using these case studies, along with research studies, test trials to reflect and analyze the context of Bottineau field park in Minneapolis Minnesota
