Toward Interdisciplinary Integration in the Study of Comparative Cognition: Insights from Studying the Evolution of Multimodal Communication
Full text linkIn this article, we highlight the importance of interdisciplinary integration in the study of comparative cognition. Specifically, we argue that the study of comparative cognition can benefit from broadening its focus and integrating information from diverse subfields and including collaborations from other fields. No full textW historii diakonatu stałego w Kościele w Polsce ważne miejsce zajmuje prof. Marek Marczewski z Lublina. Pisząc kilka lat temu Wstęp do pierwszego tomu wydawnictwa zbiorowego Diakonat stały w Kościele w Polsce napisałem o Profesorze tak: „To on od początku lat 70. do chwili obecnej, czyli przez dziesiątki lat, dzielił się swoją wiedzą o diakonacie stałym, można także powiedzieć, że walczył o jego wprowadzenie w Polsce. To on jest autorem setek prac poświęconych diakonatowi stałemu. To głównie z nich wielu dowiadywało się o istnieniu takiego powołania w Kościele. Profesor Marek Marczewski był jednym z głównych autorów i redaktorów dokumentu przyjętego przez biskupów polskich, który otworzył następnie możliwość wprowadzenia diakonatu stałego w poszczególnych diecezjach w Polsce, mianowicie: Wytycznych dotyczących formacji, życia i posługi diakonów stałych w Polsce. Kiedy kilka lat temu poznałem osobiście pana profesora, zrozumiałem, że temat diakonatu stałego jest od wielu lat, i nie zmieniło się to do dnia dzisiejszego, jego pasją, i to nie tylko w wymiarze badawczym, ale przede wszystkim osobistym” .
Powyższe słowa są cały czas aktualne. Profesor Marczewski jest nadal niezwykle otwarty na różne kwestie dotyczące obecności diakonatu stałego w Kościele w Polsce. Jego zaangażowanie jest tak wielostronne, że trudno będzie zebrać wszystkie wątki, w których pozostawił swój wkład w odkrywaniu, przybliżaniu i promowaniu powołania diakona stałego. Poniżej przywołamy kilka aspektów jego obecności w historii diakonatu stałego w naszym kraju

New constructive counterexamples to additivity of minimum output Rényi p-entropy of quantum channels

Our manuscript is motivated by the results of Grudka et al., J. Phys. A: Math. Vacuous Intertextuality? Stanisław Lem’s Memoirs Found in a Bathtub and Its Intertextual Relations

in a Bathtub (1961). An analysis of Memoirs discovers references to numerous
works of literature (Kafka, Borges, Gombrowicz, Mrożek, Chekhov, Gogol,
Shakespeare, Mickiewicz, Ray Bradbury, Genet, and Jan Potocki, among
others), philosophy (Cassirer, Peirce, Lévinas), religion, popular culture,
and unwritten lore (the Bible, Greek mythology, songs, proverbs, aphorisms,
rhymes, and toasts). However, careful examination reveals that it is extremely
difficult to draw the line between connections intended by the author and
those which are accidental or read into the text by critics or readers. That
is because in Memoirs, Lem designed a work which is intertextually open,
capable of establishing a virtually infinite number of relations with other
texts and contexts, and encouraging its reader to recognize all possible links.
Intertextual references operate here collectively rather than as relationships
with individual works. Locating Memoirs in a vast, practically unlimited
intertextual space does not lead to specific, premeditated meanings, but rather
serves to multiply potential senses. In the article, this intertextual strategy
is paired with Lem’s theory that the meaning of a literary work is unstable
and is fully developed in the process of individual reception
Wyniki analizy archeobotnicznej materiałów pozyskanych ze stanowiska nr 3 w miejscowości Równina Dolna, woj. warmińsko-mazurskie
No full textPodczas prac wykopaliskowych prowadzonych, w latach 1995-2001, na stanowisku nr 3 zlokalizowanym w miejscowości Równina Dolna, woj. warmińsko-mazurskie, stwierdzono ceramikę neolityczną związaną z osadnictwem kultury późnej ceramiki wstęgowej, kultury ceramiki sznurowej, grupy brzesko-kujawskiej kultury lendzielskiej, kultury ceramiki wstęgowej kłutej a także z późnego okresu rzymskiego i wczesnego okresu wędrówek ludów (Rybicka, Wysocki 2004, 79).
Natomiast materiały przekazane do analiz archeobotanicznych zostały pobrane z 41 obiektów oraz warstw silnie przemieszanych (w tym z humusu) eksplorowanych podczas badań archeologicznych pojętych w latach 2001-2003. Do analizy archeobotanicznej przekazano 62 próby polepy, cztery prób węgli drzewnych oraz jedną próbę gleby. Niestety z powodu braku dokumentacji, w poniższym sprawozdaniu, nie jest możliwe zdeterminowanie chronologii opróbowanych obiektów a podane funkcje i osadzenie kulturowe są jedynie propozycją autorki.Sprawozdanie prezentuje wyniki analiz archeobotanicznych polepy pozyskanej ze stanowiska nr 3 w miejscowości Równina Dolna, woj. warmińsko-mazurskieNCN 2023/48/C/HS3/0017
Responsive law, the concept of environmental rule of law and Directive 2008/50
No full textPrzedmiotem opracowania jest analiza relacji między prawem polskim i dyrektywy 2008/50 na tle modelu prawa responsywnego oraz koncepcji zielonego państwa prawnego. Prywatna egzekucja dyrektywy 2008/50 przez członków społeczeństwa w drodze skargi na program ochrony powietrza stanowi przykład instrumentu prawnego wdrażającego cele tego modelu i koncepcji. Łączy się przy tym z zagadnieniem roli sądów krajowych państwa członkowskiego UE w zapewnieniu efektywności prawu unijnemu, w tym również orzecznictwu TSUE.The aim of the article is to analyse interaction between Polish law and the Directive 2008/50 in regard to the concepts of responsive law and environmental rule of law. Private enforcement of the Directive 2008/50 by the members of the public bringing an action before the courts to establish an effective air quality plan serves as an example of a legal instrument corresponding with both concepts. Subresiduated Nelson Algebras
Full text linkIn this paper we generalize the well known relation between Heyting algebras and Nelson algebras in the framework of subresiduated lattices. In order to make it possible, we introduce the variety of subresiduated Nelson algebras. The main tool for its study is the construction provided by Vakarelov. Using it, we characterize the lattice of congruences of a subresiduated Nelson algebra through some of its implicative filters. We use this characterization to describe simple and subdirectly irreducible algebras, as well as principal congruences. Moreover, we prove that the variety of subresiduated Nelson algebras has equationally definable principal congruences and also the congruence extension property. Additionally, we present an equational base for the variety generated by the totally ordered subresiduated Nelson algebras. Finally, we show that there exists an equivalence between the algebraic category of subresiduated lattices and the algebraic category of centered subresiduated Nelson algebras
