    Legislative and normative framework of quality control construction products and works

    Ovim diplomskim radom obrađen je zakonodavni i normativni okvir kontrole kvalitete građevnih proizvoda i radova. U teorijskom dijelu uvodom je definirana kvaliteta, kontrola kvalitete i ostali procesi upravljanja kvalitetom. Kroz zakonodavni okvir i njegove propise obrađena su dva glavna područja o kojima ovisi kvaliteta građevnih proizvoda i radova. Prvo područje odnosi se na sudionike u gradnji i njihove obveze u fazi projektiranja, kontrole projekata, izvođenja radova i nadzora građenja. Drugo područje odnosi se na građevine proizvode i kontrolu kvalitete koju prema zakonodavnom i normativnom okviru građevni proizvodi moraju proći, kako bi stekli uvjete za označavanjem s oznakama sukladnosti. U praktičnom dijelu obrlaćena je metoda ispitivanja tlačne čvrstoće opečnih zidnih elemenata. Prikazan je postupak ispitivanja opečnih zidnih elemenata od primitka uzoraka u akreditirani laboratorij i njihovog označavanja, određivanja izmjera i pripreme uzoraka do konačnog ispitivanja tlačne čvrstoće i izrade izvještaja o ispitivanju.This graduate work deals with the legislative and normative framework of quality control of construction products and works. In the theoretical part, the introduction defines quality, quality control and other quality management processes. Through the legislative framework and its regulations, two main areas on which the quality of construction products and works depends are addressed. The first area refers to participants in construction and their obligations in the design phase, project control, execution of works and construction supervision. The second area refers to construction products and the quality control that, according to the legislative and normative framework, construction products must pass in order to acquire the conditions for labeling with conformity marks. The practical part deals with the method of testing the compressive strength of clay masonry units. The procedure for testing clay masonry units is presented, from the receipt of samples to the accredited laboratory and their marking, determination of measurements and preparation of samples to the final test of compressive strength and preparation of the test report

    Vessel impact

    U ovome radu prvenstveno je dublje teorijski obrađena tematika udara plovila u most, te je obrađen proračun sila od udara plovila s fokusom na EN i AASHTO norme. Također, navedeni su i primjeri udara plovila u svijetu i njihove posljedice na konstrukciju mosta. Nadalje, promatran je udar velikog plovila u stup mosta na zapadnoj obilaznici u Osijeku. Točnije, napravljena je usporedba odziva konstrukcije u vidu pomaka i deformacija konstrukcije uzrokovane silom prema Eurokodu i silom prema AASHTO normama. Svrha ovoga rada bila je osim teorijski dublje istražiti tematiku udara plovila, vidjeti kako bi se ponašala konstrukcija mosta u Osijeku, konkretno mosta na zapadnoj obilaznici, ako bi došlo do udara plovila.In this work, the subject of vessel impact on the bridge is primarily theoretically treated in depth, and the calculation of forces from vessel impact with a focus on EN and AASHTO standards is dealt with. Also, examples of vessel collisions in the world and their consequences on the structure of the bridge are listed. Furthermore, the impact of a large vessel on a bridge pillar on the western road in Osijek was observed. More specifically, a comparison was made of the response of the structure in the form of displacements and deformations of the structure caused by force according to Eurocode and force according to AASHTO norms. The purpose of this work was, in addition to theoretically, to investigate the topic of vessel collisions in depth, to see how the structure of the bridge in Osijek, specifically the bridge on the western road, would behave if a vessel collision occurred

    Upgrade and electrification of the railway

    Željeznička infrastruktura zauzima vrlo važno mjesto u prometnom sustavu te ju je potrebno pravovremeno održavati, no zbog ciljeva modernizacije i obnove željezničkih pruga zahtijeva se njihova nadogradnja i elektrifikacija. Radom je opisano postojeće stanje željezničke pruge Vinkovci - Vukovar - Borovo naselje - Vukovar, takozvana jednokolosiječna pruga M601 koja je duljine 18,71 kilometar, a zatim njezina rekonstrukcija i obnova. Postignuta je znatno veća brzina prometovanja vlakova do 120 km/h. Izgrađena je nova elektrifikacija, to jest sustav kontaktne mreže, te su postavljeni novi telekomunikacijski i signalno - sigurnosni uređaji. Nadalje, detaljno su opisani svi radovi na gornjem i donjem ustroju, promijenjene su građevinske duljine kolosijeka te su rekonstruirane skretnice. Na kraju rada je obrađena nadogradnja kolodvora Vukovar - Borovo naselje s izvedenim novim kolosijecima, pothodnikom, bočnim i otočnim peronom te pješačkim pristupima.Railway infrastructure has very important role in a traffic system and regular maintenance is necessary, but because of goals in modernisation and renovation of railway lines, it also requires upgrades and electrification. This master's thesis describes the current condition of the railway section Vinkovci - Vukovar - Borovo naselje - Vukovar. This is a single track railway, also known as M601, which is 18,71 km long. Its planned reconstruction and renovation will enable trains to travel at speeds of up to 120 km/h. When electrification is introduced, new contact network systems are introduced, followed by new telecommunication and signal - safety devices. Subsequently, all superstructure and substructure are described in detail, track construction length is updated, and turnouts are reconstructed. At the end of the master thesis, the upgrade of the Vukovar - Borovo naselje station is described with new tracks, an underpass, lateral and island platforms with pedestrian access

    Projekt je proces u kojemu se povezuju aktivnosti čiji će rezultati biti postizanje konačnog cilja u ograničenom trajanju. Svaki projekt dijelimo najčešće u tri faze: koncipiranje, definiranje i izvoĎenje. Svaka od tih faza dijeli se na podfaze i one su zasebne aktivnosti s istim ciljem, a to je izgradnja graĎevine. U cestogradnji u fazi izvoĎenja (glavni projekt) izraĎujemo iskaz količina koji je vrlo vaţan za pravilnu organizaciju i provedbu graĎenja. Iskaz količina radova jedan je od osnovnih dijelova tehničke dokumentacije svakog graĎevinskog projekta, te predstavlja količinu posla na odreĎenog graĎevini. Svaka greška u pripremi i organizaciji radova moţe uzrokovati zastoje u graĎenju, pa time i kašnjenje izvoĎenja radova i gubitke. U okviru ovog završnog rada opisane su 4 metode za izračun količina zemljanih radova, s ciljem pojednostavljenja i poboljšanja proračuna. Metode koje će biti opisane i usporeĎene su: trapezoidno i Simpsonovo pravilo, te metode prosječne krajnje površine i pojednostavljena metoda primjenjivih duljina.A project is a process in which activities connect, the results of which will be the achievement of the final goal in a limited period of time. We usually divide each project into three phases: conception, definition and execution. Each of these phases is divided into subphases and they are separate activities with the same goal, which is the construction of the building. In road construction during the execution phase (main project), we prepare a statement of quantities, which is very important for the proper organization and implementation of the construction. The statement of work quantities is one of the basic parts of the technical documentation of every construction project, and represents the amount of work on a specific building. Any mistake in the preparation and organization of the works can cause delays in the construction, thus delaying the execution of the works and losses. Within this undergraduate thesis, 4 methods for calculating the quantities of earthworks are described, with the aim of simplifying and improving the budget. The methods that will be described and compared are: the trapezoidal and Simpson's rule, then methods of average end-area and the simplified method of applicable lengths

    Stanje kolnika može se razlikovati ovisno o mnogim faktorima, kao 5to su održavanje, prometna opterećenost ili geografska lokacija. Održavanje kolnika, uključujući popravke oštećenja i redovito asfaltiranje može pomoći u očuvanju kolničkog zastora. Ako rekonstrukcija ceste nije pravilno izvedena, puno će brze doći do novih oštećenja te će biti narušena udobnost i sigurnost prometovanja. Proces oštećenja kolnika može ubrzati nakupljanje vode na površini to proizlazi iz nepravilne odvodnje kolnika. U ovom radu provodi se analiza stanja kolnika i odvodnje odabrane dionice državne ceste D2, te se ukazuje na nepravilnosti i moguća poboljšanja

    U radu se obrađuje zadovoljstvo turističkom ponudom kulturnih dobara u Đakovu. Kulturna dobra predstavljaju važan segment u cjelokupnoj turističkoj i kulturnoj ponudi svakog mjesta, odnosno destinacije. Kulturna dobra nose „priču“ i povijest o tom mjestu. U radu se obrazlaže temeljne pojmove kulturnih dobara i turističke ponude te se prikazuju rezultati istraživanja se iznose primjeri kulturnih dobara grada Đakova. Istraživanje obuhvaća anketno ispitivanje online upitnikom o posjećenosti i zadovoljstvu turističkom ponudom kulturnih dobara. U zaključku se kritički iznosi stav prema rezultatima rada.The paper deals with satisfaction with the tourist offer of cultural assets in Đakovo. Cultural assets represent an important segment in the overall tourist and cultural offer of each place or destination. Cultural assets carry the "story" and history of that place. The paper explains the basic concepts of cultural assets and tourist offers, presents the results of the research, and presents examples of cultural assets of the city of Đakovo. The research includes a survey using an online questionnaire about attendance and satisfaction with the tourist offer of cultural goods. In the conclusion, the attitude towards the results of the work is presented critically

    Parametric analysis of statically indeterminate systems

    Tema završnog rada je parametarska analiza statički neodređenih sustava. Pomoću programske podrške Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis promatran je odnos broja etaža i broj raspona uz promjenu različitih tipova opterećenja na odgovore statičkih neodređenih sustava. Numerička analiza će se provoditi na okvirnom nosaču koji je više puta statički neodređen. Prilikom ispitivanja promjene broja etaža/raspona korištena su različita opterećenja: jednoliko kontinuirano vertikalno, antisimetrično kontinuirano, poprečna sila i jednoliko kontinuirano horizontalno opterećenje. Na temelju rezultata uočen je utjecaj promjene broja etaža/raspona za različite tipove opterećenja na odgovore statičkih neodređenih sustava.The topic of the final paper is the parametric analysis of statically indeterminate systems. Using Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis software, the relationship between the number of floors and the number of spans was observed with the change of different types of loads on the responses of static indeterminate systems. Numerical analysis will be performed on a frame support that is repeatedly statically indeterminate. When testing the change in the number of floors/spans, different loads were used: uniform continuous vertical, antisymmetric continuous, transverse force and uniform continuous horizontal load. Based on the results, the impact of changing the number of floors/spans for different types of loads on the responses of static indeterminate systems was observed

    Impact of ground glass on properties of pervious concrete parking blocks

    Fokus istraživanja je utvrđivanje utjecaja mljevenog CRT stakla na svojstva poroznih betonskih parkirališnih ploča. Istraživanjem je izvršeno ispitivanje brzine infiltracije vode kroz strukturu ploča, vlačne čvrstoće na savijanje i sile loma, otpornosti na habanje te upijanje vode u ploče. Rad obuhvaća pregled dosadašnjih istraživanja na temu primjene stakla kod izrade betonskih ploča, izradu uzoraka poroznih betonskih ploča dimenzija 50x50x5 cm. Za svrhe ispitivanja izrađeno je 3 uzorka ploča s primjesom mljevenog stakla i 3 uzorka ploča s primjesom kvarcnog pijeska. Sve ploče izrađene su od 2 sloja gdje je na svih 6 uzoraka donji (nosivi) sloj izrađen od iste mješavine betona debljine 4 cm, a gornji (habajući) sloj debljine 1 cm razlikuje se po sastavu. Obuhvaćeno je također i provođenje ispitivanja na svim uzorcima te usporedbu dobivenih rezultata međusobno kao i sa zahtjevima norme HRN EN 1339:2004. Svi korišteni materijali, izrada betonskih mješavina i ispitivanja fizikalnih i mehaničkih svojstava obavljena su u skladu s mjerodavnim normama. Korištenje mljevenog stakla pokazalo je pozitivan utjecaj na procjeđivanje vode kroz strukturu ploča. Također zabilježena je veća vlačna čvrstoća na savijanje, kao i pozitivan utjecaj na silu loma u odnosu na kvarcni pijesak. Ispitivanje je također pokazalo kako dodavanje stakla ima negativan utjecaj na otpornost ploča poroznog betona na habanje. Korištenje kvarcnog pijeska pokazalo se kao prednost prilikom ispitivanja svojstva poroznih betonskih ploča na upijanje vode, što znači da dodavanje stakla u mješavinu može rezultirati smanjenom otpornošću na cikluse smrzavanja i odmrzavanja.Focus of this study is to explore the impact that CRT glass can have on different properties of pervious concrete parking blocks. This research includes testing the infiltration rate of water through the porous structure of the blocks, bending strength and fracture force, wear resistance and also water absorption. Study includes reviewing existing papers on the subject of adding glass to concrete blocks, creating samples of pervious concrete blocks measuring 50x50x5 cm. For the purpose this study 3 samples were created with CRT glass and 3 samples were created with quartz sand. All blocks were made in 2 different layers, where all 6 samples had the lower layer created from the same concrete mixture measuring 4 cm thickness, while the upper layer measuring 1 cm differs in composition. Along with that this study includes testing all samples and comparing the results between each other, as well as comparison of the results with the standard HRN EN 1339:2004. All used materials, production of the concrete mix and testing mechanical and physical properties of the blocks were done with accordance to the authoritative standards. Use of CRT glass has proven to have a positive impact on infiltration rate of water through the porous structure of the blocks. Also there was notable increase in bending strength as well as positive impact on fracture force, in comparison to quartz sand samples. The study had however shown that adding glass had a negative impact on wear resistance of pervious concrete blocks. Usage of quartz sand proved to be beneficial when testing the water absorption properties of concrete blocks, which means that adding glass into the mix can result with decreased resistance to weather conditions such as freeze and thaw

    Testing of Damaged Single-Bay Reinforced Concrete Frames Strengthened with Masonry Infill Walls

    Despite achieving consensus and having current knowledge on the behaviour and contribution of masonry infill walls, there remain unresolved issues regarding their nonlinear behaviour as a method for strengthening existing reinforced concrete (RC) frames with effective modifications, primarily infills and the interconnection of infills and frames. The challenge for safely and economically designing frames with competent walls is to utilise the stiffening benefits while ensuring that the increased lateral forces and reduced drift capacity do not hinder performance. This study aims to investigate the potential of using masonry infill to strengthen previously slightly damaged RC frames. Experimental tests were conducted on previously slightly damaged RC frame specimens infilled with vertically hollowed-clay and solid-clay masonry units, connected to the frame elements using traditional methods (i.e., avoiding the use of modern composite materials). These strengthened infilled frame structures were subjected to constant vertical and cyclic lateral loading, which revealed improved stiffness, strength, and damping characteristics, enhancing their overall behaviour. As the main novelties, the study found that when damaged RC frames were strengthened with masonry infill walls, their performance resembled that of undamaged infilled RC frames. The strengthened infilled frame structures exhibited enhanced stiffness, strength, and hysteretic damping. The increase in stiffness was observed regardless of the type of masonry units and the strengthening technique employed. However, the improvements in strength and hysteretic damping were influenced by the specific masonry units, particularly their robustness, and the chosen reinforcement metho
