    Seismic behaviour assessement of Osijek residential buildings designed in 1964

    U radu je promatrano potresno ponašanje stambenih zgrada projektiranih 1964. godine na području grada Osijeka. Proizvoljno su odabrane dilatacije triju stambenih zgrada, prema kriteriju kvalitete i očuvanosti arhivske građe te postojanju vertikalnih armiranobetonskih elemenata. Promatrane zgrade modelirane su kao prostorni armiranobetonski okvirni sustavi sa zidanim ispunom zadanim u obliku linijskog opterećenja. Kako bi se istražio utjecaj ziđa na potresno ponašanje konstrukcije, izrađeni su i pomoćni sustavi prostornih armiranobetonskih okvira sa modeliranim zidanim ispunom.. Modeli su opterećeni stalnim opterećenjem u skladu s projektom usvojenim materijalima te promjenjivim opterećenjem u skladu s aktualnom normom (HRN EN 1991-1, HRN EN 1991-3). Primjenjena je materijalna i geometrijska linearnost konstrukcijskih elemenata. Korištena je linearna dinamička metoda proračuna, odnosno modalni proračun spektrima odziva. Proračun je proveden uporabom računalnog programa SAP2000. Potresno je opterećenje modelima zadano spektrima ubrzanja iz stvarnih zapisa potresa te spektrima ubrzanja prema trenutno važećoj normi (HRN EN 1998). Stvarni su zapisi korišteni pri usporedbi apsolutnih i relativnih pomaka. Kapacitet nosivosti zgrada određen je skaliranjem vrijednosti vršnog ubrzanja kao varijable normiranih spektara odziva, čime se daje ocjena potresnog ponašanja zgrada te prikaz kritičnih mjesta analiziranih konstrukcija.In this thesis, the seismic behavior of residential buildings designed in 1964 in the city of Osijek has been observed. Expansions of three residential buildings were chosen arbitrarily, according to the criteria of quality and preservation of archival materials and the presence of vertical reinforced concrete elements. The observed buildings had been modeled as spatial reinforced concrete frame systems with masonry infill given in the form of line load. Auxiliary systems of spatial reinforced concrete frames with modeled masonry infill had also been modeled in order to investigate the influence of masonry on the seismic behavior of structures. The models had been loaded with a permanent load in accordance with a project documentation and imposed load in accordance with the current standard (HRN EN 1991-1, HRN EN 1991-3). The material and geometric linearity of construction elements was applied. The linear dynamic calculation method, i.e. response spectrum analysis was used. Structural analysis was performed using SAP2000 software. Earthquake load in the models was determined by using response spectrums from strong-motion records and response spectrums in correspondence with the currently valid standard (HRN EN 1998). Strong-motion records were used for the comparison of absolute and relative displacements. The bearing capacity of the buildings was determined by scaling the value of the peak ground acceleration as the variable of normalized response spectrum, which provides an assessment of the seismic behavior of the building and a presentation of the critical locations of the analyzed structures

    Zgrada je smještena na samom rubu grada Osijeka u poslovnoj zoni Retfala Jug. Urbanističko rješenje sastoji se od pet markica makroizgradnje, katnosti P+5, te četiri markice mikroizgradnje, katnosti P+3. Projektirana zgrada pripada grupi markica mikroizgradnje te se nalazi na južnome dijelu urbanističkog obuhvata. Zgrada se sastoji od dva volumena različitih karaktera i materijala. Sjeverni volumen zamišljen je kao otvoren prostor namjenjen za open-space urede i prostore za druženje. Svi prostori unutar toga volumena su fleksibilni i odvojeni panelima radi lakše prohodnosti. Na taj volumen veže se lagana čelična konstrukcija koja je ispunjena biljkama radi ambijenta i preslikavanja zelenila obližnje šume. Čelična konstrukcija je prohodna te na nekim mjestima osigurava prostore za druženje. Konstrukcija je obložena žičanom mrežom što ju čini poluzatvorenim prostorom. Sjeverni volumen, baš kao i šuma, organičnog je oblika te nasjeda na južni volumen. Južni volumen koji predstavlja jak konstrast sjevernom, okružen je debelim nosivim zidovima, što sa vanjske strane daje dojam masivne konstrukcije. Prozori na pročelju složeni su u pravilnom rasteru te pridodaju strogoj pravilnosti toga volumena. Unutar južnoga volumena prostori su privatniji, pravilno složeni te dolazi do izmjene modula ureda za jednu i za četiri osobe.The building is positioned in the outskirts of Osijek, in the business zone called Retfala Jug. Urban-planning scheme is consisted of five mark units in mass construction that have five storeys and four mark units in micro construction that have three storeys. The projected building belongs to the cluster of mark units in micro construction and it is located on the southern part of the urbanistic position. The volume of the building consists of two different parts and materials. The northern volume is conceived as an open area for open plan offices and lounge areas. All of the spaces inside of that volume are flexible and are separated by panel walls because of easier walkability. A light steel structure is attached to that volume and the setting is decorated with plants because of the nearby forest that mirrors its greenery. The steel structure is passable and there are lounge areas in some parts of it. The structure is coated with wire mesh, which makes it a semi-enclosed space. The northern volume has an organic form and it merges with the southern volume just like the forest. The southern volume is clearly opposed to the northern volume. It is surrounded by thick bearing walls and that gives off the impression of mass construction from the outside. Windows are placed at the front of the building in a straight-line distance raster and they contribute to the severe regularity of that volume. Areas are more private and properly constructed as well in the inside of the southern volume so the module of the office changes for one and four persons

    Analysis of hilly area runoff and function of lateral canal

    Radom se analizira uloga i funkcija lateralnog kanala na primjeru izgrađenog lateralnog kanala Kneževi Vinogradi – Zmajevac koji se nalazi u Baranji. Proučavao se dio slivnog područja koji se ulijeva u lateralni kanal. Na slivnom području definirana je vodna bilanca uz pomoć programskog paketa HEC-HMS. Promatrano je razdoblje od dvije godine, točnije od 1. siječnja 2019. do 31. prosinca 2020. godine. Računalni program je na osnovu GIS podloge, hidroloških i meteoroloških podataka zabilježenih na agrometeorološkoj postaji Poljoprivrednog instituta Osijek i na temelju SCS (Soil Conservation Service) metode proračunao komponente vodne bilance. Evapotranspiracija je proračunata metodom Hargreaves-a. Konačni rezultati modela pokazuju raspoloživu količinu vode za navodnjavanje, odnosno količina vode za navodnjavanje koja se može osigurati površinskim otjecanjem.The study shows the water balance of the lateral channel in the example of the built lateral channel Kneževi Vinogradi-Zmajevac, located in Baranja. There is only one sub-basin of entire lateral channel in the focus of research. The water balance of drainage area is calculated by HEC-HMS programme package. A period of research is two years, specifically from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2020. The computer program calculated water balance components on the basis of the GIS base, hydrological and meteorological data recorded at the agrometeorological station of the Agricultural Institute of Osijek and on the basis of the SCS (Soil Conservation Service) method. Evapotranspiration was calculated by Hargreaves method. The final results of the model shows the amount of drainage water available for irrigation

    Rad sadržava sažeti povijesni pregled pročišćavanja otpadnih voda i njihovu kategorizaciju s obzirom na izvore te fizikalne, biološke i kemijske osobine. Također obuhvaća detaljan opis suvremenih analitičkih metoda za utvrđivanje stupnja onečišćenja voda te metode i tehnološke postupke kojima se pročišćavaju otpadne vode u skladu sa zakonskom regulativom. U nastavku su prikazani statistički pokazatelji stanja pročišćavanja otpadnih voda u Republici Hrvatskoj za 2020. godinu, a na kraju je u osnovnim crtama analizirano idejno rješenje i kratak opis primijenjenih tehnoloških rješenje koja se primjenjuju na UPOV Jošine.The paper contains a brief historical overview of wastewater treatment and its categorization with regard to sources and physical, biological and chemical properties. It also includes a detailed description of modern analytical methods for determining the degree of water pollution, as well as methods and technological procedures used to purify wastewater in accordance with legal regulations. In the following, statistical indicators of the state of wastewater treatment in the Republic of Croatia for 2020 are presented, and at the end, the conceptual solution and a brief description of the applied technological solutions that are applied to the UPOV Jošine are analyzed in basic terms

    Cilj projekta je urbanističko i arhitektonsko rješenje poslovne zone Retfala jug, koja se nalazi na zapadnom dijelu Osijeka. Urbanističkim rješenjem odredio se položaj devet poslovnih zgrada. Urbanizmom je definirana uzdignuta šetnica koja omogućava nesmetan prolaz pješaka kroz sam obuhvat te omogućuje dodatne sadržaje i prostor na parteru. Arhitektonsko rješenje bavi se projektom jedne od zgrada definiranih urbanizmom. Koncept arhitektonskog rješenja bazira se na samom prostoru parcele i poslovne zone te se bavi teorijskim pitanjima vezanima za poziciju obuhvata te propituje teorijske pretpostavke do kojih je dovelo promišljanje o parceli, što utječe na oblikovanje same zgrade. Sama zgrada središnjom pozicijom predstavlja oprečnicu dvaju potpuno različitih energija i svjetova; svijet lišen identiteta pored obilaznice te definiran i strukturiran svijet koji predstavlja sama Retfala. Temeljnom pretpostavkom o dualnosti svjetova sam korisnik konstantno propituje taj koncept kroz zgradu, nikada ne dostižuči strukturirani svijet kojemu teži. Sama zgrada je produkt dualnosti te njihov spoj; spoj dvaju energija koje se dotiču, ali se ne miješaju.The goal of the project is the urban and architectural solution of the Retfala South business zone, which is located in the western part of Osijek. The location of nine office buildings was determined by the urban plan. Urban planning has defined an elevated walkway that enables the unhindered passage of pedestrians through the area itself and provides additional facilities and space on the ground floor. The architectural solution deals with the project of one of the buildings defined by urbanism. The concept of the architectural solution is based on the space of the plot and the business zone itself, and deals with theoretical issues related to the position of the scope and questions the theoretical assumptions that led to thinking about the plot, which affects the design of the building itself. The building itself, with its central position, represents the conflict of two completely different energies and worlds; a world devoid of identity next to the ring road and a defined and structured world represented by Retfala itself. With the basic assumption about the duality of worlds, the user himself constantly questions this concept through the building, never reaching the structured world he is aiming for. The building itself is a product of duality and their combination; the union of two energies that touch but do not mix

    Deformation in bending beams

    Tema završnog rada su deformacije ravnog štapa kod savijanja. Kao deformacije su promatrani progibi i kutevi zaokreta. Dana je teorijska podloga o elastičnoj (progibnoj) liniji nosača, izvedene su diferencijalne jednadžbe elastične linije. Detaljno je opisana grafoanalitička metoda određivanja deformacija na nosaču te su opisane deformacije na nosaču zbog poprečne sile. Zadatak je bio na četiri primjera izračunati progibe i kuteve zaokreta u točki 1 i točki 2 nosača. Za svaki nosač računati su progibi za određenu fleksijsku krutost nosača ( EIy ), tj. za slučaj da je nosač izveden od čelika, betona i drveta. Na kraju svakog riješenog primjera dana je tablica sa usporedbom rezultata dobivenih grafoanalitičkom metodom i računalnim programskim paketom „Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis“.The subject of the final paper is the deformation of a straight rod during bending. Deflections and rotation angles were observed as deformations. The theoretical background of the elastic (deflection) line of beam is presented and the differential equations of the elastic line are shown. The graphoanalytical method of determining the deformations on the beam is described in detail, and the deformations on the beam due to the action of the transverse force are also described. On four examples of beams, deflections and angles of rotation were calculated in points 1 and 2. For each example, deflections were calculated for a certain flexural stiffness of the beam (EIy), that is, for the case that the beam is made of steel, concrete and wood. At the end of each solved example, there is a table with a comparison of the results obtained by the graphoanalytical method and the computer software package Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis

    Analysis of creep and shrinkage deformations using Python end Excel

    Ovaj rad bavi se procjenom veličine deformacija nastalih uslijed skupljanja i puzanja, pri čemu su promatrani različiti parametri koji utječu na veličinu deformacija. Obrađena su po tri primjera pomoću kojih je pokazan proračun deformacija od skuplja te deformacija od puzanja. Svi zadaci riješeni su s različitim ulaznim parametrima. U zadacima se rješavaju razni konstrukcijski elementi i različiti uvjeti okoline, gdje se očekuje nastanak deformacija od puzanja i skupljanja, kao što su grede i ploče, te uvjeti kao što su utjecaj temperature i relativne vlažnosti. Svi zadaci riješeni su pomoću programa Excel i Python, a rješenja su uspoređena. Svi korišteni izrazi i cijeli proračun proveden je sukladno normi Eurokod 2 - Projektiranje betonskih konstrukcija.This work deals with the evaluation of the size of deformations caused by shrinkage and creep, whereby different parameters that affect the size of deformations were observed. There are three examples each, showing the calculation of deformations due to shrinkage and deformations due to creep. All examples were solved with different input parameters. Different structural elements and different environmental conditions are solved in this work, such as deformations due to creep and shrinkage in beams and slabs and conditions such as the influence of temperature and relative humidity. All examples were solved using Excel and Python, and the solutions were compared. All expressions used and the entire calculation were performed in accordance with Eurocode 2 - Design of Concrete structures

    Housing Quality Assessment Model Based on the Spatial Characteristics of an Apartment

    Today more than ever, people are demanding higher-quality housing, and therefore, there is an increasing need for scientifically sound methods of systematic housing assessment that are capable of addressing multiple, conflicting, and irreconcilable aspects in both qualitative and quantitative terms. Existing studies and models often use a relatively small number of indicators and consider housing quality from a single perspective. This paper presents a methodology used to develop a model for assessing the quality of multiple conflicting spatial characteristics of an apartment. Through a literature review and a survey of 12 architects, 24 spatial indicators were identified and then classified into five categories: (i) additional rooms, (ii) room size, (iii) window orientation and ventilation, (iv) circulation, and (v) spatial organization. Finally, the overall rating of the apartment is calculated as the sum of the ratings of all indicator categories, where the share of each category in the overall rating and desirable characteristics of the apartment is determined by the user. The model was tested on the example of two apartments in the city of Osijek, Croatia
