Data from Sustainable Microfinance as a Transforming Knowledge Domain: A Bibliometric and Systematic Review

    No full text
The selected dataset came from two different database, Scopus and WoS core collection (Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, Emerging Sources Citation Index). The data was merged with a R-tool Bibliometrix named Biblioshiny and exported in a csv file. Some other txt files are included to clean the keywords analysis.Sustainable microfinance has evolved from a poverty-alleviation instrument into a multidimensional development tool that integrates financial inclusion, social outcomes, and environmental sustainability. However, research in this domain remains widely dispersed across separate strands of microfinance, green finance, and sustainable finance, limiting a comprehensive understanding of how these dimensions interact. This study addresses this gap by conducting the first integrated bibliometric and systematic review of sustainable microfinance, analysing 137 articles published between 1999 and 2025 in Web of Science and Scopus. Using a mixed-method design that combines bibliometric mapping with qualitative synthesis, the study reconstructs the conceptual evolution of the field and identifies its intellectual and thematic structure. The results reveal three stages: an initial welfarist phase focused on poverty reduction and women’s empowerment; an institutionalist phase emphasising financial self-sufficiency and operational efficiency; and a recent sustainability-oriented phase that incorporates environmental responsibility, governance quality, and digital transformation. Emerging themes include climate-risk management, renewable energy financing, environmental performance of MFIs, gendered impacts, knowledge-based financial inclusion, and the role of institutional capacity in shaping developmental outcomes. From a development perspective, the findings show how sustainable microfinance intersects with climate vulnerability, persistent inequalities, digital divides, and governance challenges. Despite this progress, important gaps remain regarding theoretical integration, cross-country comparability, the measurement of environmental and social outcomes, and the long-term effectiveness of green and gender-oriented interventions. Overall, the review positions sustainable microfinance as a promising but under-theorised domain with substantial potential to support inclusive, climate-resilient, and gender-responsive development pathways. It proposes a future research agenda grounded in multidimensional and context-sensitive approaches.Departamento de Economía Financiera y Contabilidad, Universidad Pablo de OlavideUniversidad de Las América

However, the precise mechanisms by which disruptions in protein folding within the ER activate proteostatic mechanisms remain to be fully elucidated. In this study, we demonstrate that in Schizosaccharomyces pombe the antineoplastic agent hydroxyurea (HU) induces a transient perinuclear ER expansion, Bip1 accumulation, and the clustering of nuclear pore complexes in a specific region of the nuclear envelope. This striking phenotype is mimicked by diamide (DIA), a specific inducer of thiol stress, and can be prevented or rapidly reversed by dithiothreitol, a reducing agent, suggesting that ER expansion results from disulfide stress. Furthermore, HU or DIA treatments resulted in the accumulation of misfolded proteins in cytoplasmic foci containing Hsp104 disaggregase and Hsp70/Ssa1 chaperones. Our data show that HU impacts redox-dependent protein folding, impairs the secretory pathway, and activates specific proteostatic mechanisms in both the ER and the cytoplasmDepartamento de Biología Molecular e Ingeniería Bioquímica. Examining the User Engagement on Mind-Sport Online Games: A Social Cognitive Theory and Word-of-Mouth Based Model Proposal

    No full text
Online gamers have increased exponentially in the last few years in all types of online games, including mind-sport games. These games, like Bridge or Chess, have been traditionally played face-to-face. Nowadays more and more players prefer to use online platforms to play mind-sport games. Previous studies have investigated different aspects of online games and even a few on mind-sport games. However, the frameworks WOM (Word-of-Mouth) and SCT (Social Cognitive Theory) have been sparsely used in this context. In this manner, the present article proposes two objectives: (1) using the SCT in order to analyse the impact of the sociological factor on user engagement in mind-sport online games and (2) analysing how the WOM affects user engagement in mind-sport online games. Specifically, the proposed PLS-SEM model is defined by combining five constructs from these frameworks: (1) health consciousness, (2) WOM and emotional behaviour, (3) self-efficacy, (4) cognitive engagement, and (5) behavioural intention. The findings reveal that health consciousness affects WOM and emotional behaviour in a positive way as players desire well-being. Also, WOM and emotional behaviour affect cognitive engagement, as positive comments encourage high-skill gamers in mind sports. Finally, this study shows how the environmental factor of SCT is represented by WOM and emotional behaviour in an indirect way and the personal factor represented by self-efficacy in a direct way to positively influence behaviour intention.Departamento de Organización de Empresas y Marketin

The exercise of trade union communication rights on social networks.

Trade unions' freedoms of expression and information on social media are fundamental rights of trade union, giving them the possibility to openly share their opinions and demands, while facilitating the amplification of their messages and participation in public debates. However, interaction on social networks entails certain risks, in particular the risk of infringement of the right to honour of third parties. To resolve this potential collision of rights, courts apply a proportionality test, in which they weigh the conflicting goods and rights, assessing the need to balance freedom of association with other equally relevant civil rights, such as personality rights. In this context, the question arises as to whether the use of the social network by trade unions as a means of transmitting information and expressing opinions should be a relevant circumstance in such a proportionality judgement, as well as the possible legal implications that would derive from this consideration.Universidad Pablo de Olavid

Apropiación social del territorio por los habitantes de Huehuetlan, el Grande, en el Tentzo Puebla

    No full text
The need for the appropriation of territories through solidarity entrepreneurship to safeguard biocultural heritage is increasingly urgent. The relationship between the new trends of current rurality, the biocultural richness of the territories and the struggle that has historically taken place to protect them, makes it pertinent to study their appropriation from a socio-economic-solidarity-territorial, historical and ecological perspective. If the territory is conceived as something more than a geographical delimitation, an approach to the networks of solidarity collaboration present in the territories will enable the building of acculturation processes supported by territorialized solidarity economies, from the “social”. This research is an approach to the reality of the territories that seek to be appropriated, from critical dialogue, social conscience and solidarity.

Sustainability of Life as a Differentiated Approach in Feminist Economics

    No full text
The article makes an exhaustive review of the literature on the Sustainability of Life approach, which has been developed specifically in the context of Feminist Economics in Spain, Latin America and the Caribbean in the last two decades, between academia and women's movements. In fact, the article brings the public closer to a literature that is little translated, since much of it is produced in the Spanish-speaking context and outside academic frameworks, thus contributing to the construction of the broad genealogy of the FE. The article systematizes four central elements, around the need to: (a) go beyond the analysis of social reproduction to put the focus on the life-support chain; (b) go beyond the capital-labor conflict to identify the rest of the conflicts that occur within the framework of capitalism and that put dignified life in check; (c) go beyond the slogan “and women worse”, to move towards a broad understanding of the social re-creation of power; and (d) go beyond the rhetoric of the loss of the future to move towards tracing emancipatory horizons.Department of Economics, Quantitative Methods and Economic History, Pablo de Olavide University, Sevilla, Spai
