Contribuciones a la ingeniería de diseño mecatrónico de robots móviles zoomórficos bio-inspirados en artrópodos y orugas

    No full text
This thesis presents the engineering design of mechatronic systems, emphasizing on zoomorphic robots inspired by arthropods—organisms renowned for their biomechanical features. The research encompasses a comprehensive state-of-the-art, observational studies, and the development of novel computational methodologies. The objectives are threefold: (i) to conduct a systematic review of arthropod-inspired robots, classified taxonomically and categorized by morphology, degrees of freedom, actuation mechanisms, modularity, and environmental adaptability; (ii) to standardize the mechanical configuration of kinematic chains of caterpillars through a geometric algorithm derived from experimental observations; and (iii) to develop the kinematic and dynamic analyses to simulate the behavior of bioinspired robotic caterpillar during inching-locomotion, resulting in actuator selection. This work highlights “arthrobotics” as an interdisciplinary field integrating arthropod biomechanics with robotics, fostering innovative methodologies for biomechatronic design with applications spanning industrial assembly tasks and planetary exploration. Optimization and stability of a reusable laccase-polymer hybrid film for the removal of bisphenol A in water

Laccases are a group of versatile and green biocatalysts with high efficiency for the degradation of a wide variety of environmental pollutants. However, the feasibility of free laccase applications is hampered by enzyme inactivation due to exposure to denaturing conditions and difficult recovery, which limits reuse and continuous process design, resulting in high costs. Enzyme immobilization technology is a promising way of overcoming these drawbacks. In this work, laccases from two fungal sources, Myceliophthora thermophila and Trametes versicolor, were immobilized for the first time by covalent interaction (azo-linkages) on a film-shaped polyacrylic material. Optimal immobilization parameters were 10 U/mL enzyme load, 1 h and 25 ºC. The resultant immobilized laccases were characterized as a function of pH, temperature, and substrate concentrations (kinetic parameters) and compared with the free enzyme counterpart. The laccase-polymer hybrid (M. thermophila laccase) showed excellent operational and storage stability, retaining 89.8 % of the initial activity after 15 cycles of reuse and 10 days of storage at 4 ºC. Finally, the laccase-polymer films exhibited > 90 % depletion of bisphenol A in water by a dual adsorption-catalysis mechanism. The adsorption capacity ranged from 61.4 % to 30.5 %. GC-MS analysis revealed the degradation products 5,5′-bis-[1-(4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1-methyl-ethyl]-biphenyl-2,2′-diol and 3- or 2-methyl-2,3-ditrobenzofuran, as adsorbed compounds, as well as non-degraded bisphenol A. The significance of this research lies in the demonstrated catalytic efficiency of a new, reusable and cost-effective hybrid material for the removal of phenolic contaminants in water. The findings suggest that laccase-polymer hybrids could be a very useful tool for sustainable wastewater treatment. We gratefully acknowledge the financial support provided by all funders. The Effect of the Teaching Personal and Social Responsibility Model on Personal and Social Responsibility in Physical Education: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

    No full text
This study aimed to show a quantitative synthesis on the effect of the Teaching Personal and Social Responsibility Model (TPSR) on personal and social responsibility within physical education (PE) context. To achieve this, a systematic review and meta-analysis on experimental studies was developed. The initial search yielded 874 articles, with 6 articles (n = 1089) meeting the inclusion criteria. The overall analysis for personal responsibility resulted in a significant small effect size with moderate heterogeneity (g = 0.38; 95% CI: [0.17, 0.58], p = <0.01, I2 = 59.39%), as well as for social responsibility (g = 0.20; 95% CI: 0.01, 0.38; p = <0.01; I2 = 51.50%). The results show that TPSR promotes personal and social responsibility. However, high-quality experimental trials testing the efficacy of the TPSR on broad results are needed

This study analyses the offensive technical behaviours in women's 7-a-side football, evaluating the execution and success according to the players' demarcation.
