Feminismo y misoginia en las novelas de Sally Rooney
No full textIrish author Sally Rooney has been named the first great millennial novelist. Her three novels so far, Conversations with Friends (2017), Normal People (2018) and Beautiful World Where Are You? (2021), which dwell around the intricacies of personal relationships among young men and women in contemporary Ireland, have received much acclaim. This article concentrates on Rooney’s most recent novel to examine the coexistence of feminist and sexist traits, and how they affect the performance of the female characters. Male behaviour and female reactions will be analysed to outline the paradoxical conducts of empowerment and subjection embedded within love relationships. The study suggests the coexistence of internalized misogyny and feminist discourses, a combination that causes negative effects upon the female characters. Finally, the article concludes that contemporary best-sellers such as Rooney epitomize and validate currents of popular feminism alongside with misogyny, and typify and perpetuate problematic role models for millennials.La autora irlandesa Sally Rooney ha sido nombrada la primera gran novelista milenial. Sus tres novelas hasta el momento, Conversaciones entre amigos (2017), Gente normal (2018) y Dónde estás, mundo bello (2021), que tratan sobre las complejidades de las relaciones personales entre hombres y mujeres jóvenes en la Irlanda contemporánea, han recibido muchos elogios. Este artículo se centra en la novela más reciente de Rooney para examinar la coexistencia de rasgos feministas y sexistas, y analizar cómo afectan a la caracterización de los personajes femeninos. El análisis del comportamiento masculino y las correspondientes reacciones femeninas sirven para esclarecer conductas paradójicas de empoderamiento y sometimiento en el marco de las relaciones amorosas. El estudio sugiere la coexistencia de una misoginia interiorizada junto a discursos feministas, una combinación que provoca efectos negativos en los personajes femeninos. Finalmente, el artículo concluye que ciertos éxitos de ventas contemporáneos como el de Rooney validan corrientes de feminismo populista que incorporan aspectos misóginos y tipifican y perpetúan modelos problemáticos para la juventud actual
Corporate Social Responsability and training in value generation: prosumer applications in proximity audiovisual

Esta herramienta con formato de portfolio, utilizada en el mundo profesional, permite que el alumnado pueda desarrollar intuitivamente el rol prosumidor, creando contenidos audiovisuales de proximidad en el marco de un simulacro de productora audiovisual, que genera valor a partir del guion inicial, adiestrando también a los estudiantes en los compromisos de Responsabilidad Social Corporativa que las empresas deben implementar en su funcionamiento.Teaching subjects related to audiovisual production could be considered an ideal issue to develop the use of the production dossier. This model with a portfolio format, used in the professional world, allows students to intuitively develop the prosumer role, creating local audiovisual content within the framework of a mock audiovisual production company, which generates value from the initial script in a way that following this model, the trainer can build skills in Corporate Social Responsibility so that students and companies can implement these policies in their operations
Historical perspective of the elasticity of the principle "salva rerum substantia"
No full textEn este trabajo se analiza cómo la primitiva y originaria rigidez del principio salva rerum substantia fue atemperándose con el paso del tiempo. Ello se constata no solo en las propias fuentes jurídicas romanas, que ya manifestaban un desarrollo flexible del principio como consecuencia de la intervención jurisprudencial, sino también por la necesaria aceptación de la regulación del quasi ususfructus. Como resultado de la recepción del derecho justinianeo, en el derecho vigente se aprecian supuestos de usufructo que si bien no prescinden absolutamente del principio salva rerum substantia al menos ponen de manifiesto su absoluta elasticidad, es decir, su flexibilidad para adaptarse al régimen jurídico que se halla establecido. No obstante, lo fundamental en el derecho de usufructo son los derechos del usufructuario, uti et frui, siendo secundario, pero no por ello menos importante, pues es variable y modificable, el límite salva rerum substantia.In this study, the way in which the primitive and original rigidity of the principle salva rerum substantia was moderated over the passage of time is analyzed. It is not only noted in the Roman legal sources themselves, which already showed a flexible development of the principle as a consequence of jurisprudential intervention, but also because of the necessary acceptance of the regulation quasi ususfructus. As a result of the reception of Justinian Law, examples of usufructuary may be appreciated in the current legal order that although not completely disregarding the principle salva rerum substantia at least highlight its absolute elasticity, in other words, its flexibility in adapting to the established legal order. Nevertheless, what is fundamental in the law of usufruct are the rights of the usufructuary, uti et frui, the limit salva rerum substantia being secondary, as it is variable and modifiable, although no less important for that reason
Urbanism, urban projects and urbanization in medium-sized cities: recent transformations in the city of Burgos
Get PDFEn las últimas cuatro décadas la ciudad de Burgos ha sufrido cambios notables en su estructura urbana, registrando un moderado proceso de crecimiento demográfico y un notable incremento de su parque inmobiliario, lo que se ha traducido en una fuerte expansión de la urbanización. Seis de cada diez hectáreas urbanizadas se corresponden con esta transformación reciente, lo que implica un modelo de crecimiento que ha generado un área urbana fragmentada y discontinua a su alrededor. Desde 2009, esta expansión se ha ralentizado e incluso ha llegado a paralizarse, si bien el planeamiento urbanístico mantiene unas previsiones de crecimiento para el futuro con más sectores urbanizables con capacidad para albergar miles de nuevas viviendas. En la escala de las ciudades medias, esta área urbana ejemplifica el desajuste entre urbanismo y urbanización, evidenciando un conflicto en el modelo de ciudad. Desde esta perspectiva, el presente trabajo estudia el proceso de transformación reciente del área urbana articulada por la ciudad de Burgos, analizando su correlación con las previsiones del planeamiento urbano y su desajuste con la gestión de los proyectos urbanos estratégicos.In the last four decades, the city of Burgos has undergone notable changes in its urban structure, showing a moderate process of demographic growth and a notable increase in its real estate stock, which has resulted in a strong expansion of urbanization. Six out of every ten urbanized hectares correspond to this recent transformation, which implies a growth model that has generated a fragmented and discontinuous urban area around it. Since 2009, this expansion has slowed down and even came to a standstill, although urban planning maintains growth forecasts for the future with more urbanizable sectors with the capacity to house thousands of new homes. On the scale of medium cities, this urban area exemplifies the mismatch between urbanism and urbanization, evidencing a conflict in the city model. From this perspective, this paper studies the recent transformation process of the urban area articulated by the city of Burgos, analyzing its correlation with the forecasts of urban planning and its mismatch with the management of strategic urban projects

El aprendizaje de léxico en español a través de los videojuegos
No full textEn el presente trabajo, se comienza abordando el aspecto didáctico de los videojuegos.
A continuación, se determinan tanto los objetivos como el estado de la cuestión. Junto con la
metodología empleada, se explica cómo se han concebido los videojuegos hasta ahora y el
cambio que se está produciendo en el campo educativo. Se detalla cómo es el proceso de
aprendizaje del léxico en español a través de los videojuegos y qué factores inherentes en estos
contribuyen a la adquisición y práctica de vocabulario. Así mismo, se analiza cómo es
presentado el léxico en los videojuegos ante el aprendiente que se aventura en ellos.
Se repasa tanto el factor narrativo y contextual como el componente audiovisual. Se
clasifica el léxico y se repasan las distintas variedades del español en los videojuegos. También
se profundiza en el ejercicio didáctico de la traducción y la comparación en los videojuegos.
Finalmente, se exponen una serie de propuestas que pueden ser llevadas a cabo en el aula y se
recopila una serie de términos nuevos que han surgido en las comunidades de videojuegos. El
trabajo se completa con las conclusiones a las que se han llegado.In the present work, the work begins by addressing the didactic aspect of video games.
Next, both the objectives and the state of the question are determined. Along with the
methodology used, it explains how video games have been conceived so far and the change that
is taking place in the educational field. It details how is the process of learning the lexicon in
Spanish through video games and what factors inherent in these contribute to the acquisition
and practice of vocabulary. Likewise, it is analyzed how the lexicon is presented in videogames
before the learner who ventures into them.
Both the narrative and contextual factor as well as the audiovisual component are
reviewed. The lexicon is classified and the different varieties of Spanish in video games are
reviewed. The didactic exercise of translation and comparison in video games is also deepened.
Finally, a series of proposals that can be carried out in the classroom are presented and a series
of new terms that have emerged in video game communities are compiled. The work ends with
the conclusions reached
A Novel Late-Stage Autophagy Inhibitor That Efficiently Targets Lysosomes Inducing Potent Cytotoxic and Sensitizing Effects in Lung Cancer
Get PDFOvercoming resistance is one of the most challenging features in current anticancer therapy. Autophagy is a cellular process that confers resistance in some advanced tumors, since it enables cancer cells to adapt to stressful situations, such as anticancer treatments. Hence, the inhibition of this cytoprotective autophagy leads to tumor cells sensitization and death. In this regard, we designed a novel potent anionophore compound that specifically targets lysosomes, called LAI-1 (late-stage autophagy inhibitor-1), and evaluated its role in blocking autophagy and its potential anticancer effects in three lung cancer cell lines from different histological subtypes. Compared to other autophagy inhibitors, such as chloroquine and 3-Methyladenine, the LAI-1 treatment induced more potent anticancer effects in all tested cancer cells. LAI-1 was able to efficiently target and deacidify lysosomes, while acidifying cytoplasmic pH. Consequently, LAI-1 efficiently blocked autophagy, indicated by the increased LC3-II/I ratio and p62/SQSTM1 levels. Moreover, no colocalization was observed between autophagosomes, marked with LC3 or p62/SQSTM1, and lysosomes, stained with LAMP-1, after the LAI-1 treatment, indicating the blockage of autophagolysosome formation. Furthermore, LAI-1 induced cell death by activating apoptosis (enhancing the cleavage of caspase-3 and PARP) or necrosis, depending on the cancer cell line. Finally, LAI-1 sensitized cancer cells to the first-line chemotherapeutic agent cisplatin. Altogether, LAI-1 is a new late-stage autophagy inhibitor that causes lysosomal dysfunction and the blockage of autophagolysosome formation, as well as potently induces cancer cell death and sensitization to conventional treatments at lower concentrations than other known autophagy inhibitors, appearing as a potential new therapeutic approach to overcome cancer resistance.This research was supported by Consejería de Educación de la Junta de Castilla y León (grant BU067P20), MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 (grant PID2020-117610RB-I00) and Instituto de Salud Carlos III (grant PI18/00441), co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
