Nuevos paradigmas de la comunicación institucional en la era digital: el papel de los influencers andaluces en la Iglesia católica
La Iglesia católica andaluza se está adaptando a los medios digitales a través de influencers auténticos y cercanos. El estudio adopta una metodología cualitativa descriptivo-interpretativa, combinando un análisis de contenido cualitativo de las publicaciones en Instagram de seis sacerdotes andaluces con más de 10.000 seguidores y entrevistas semiestructuradas a estos para comprender sus motivaciones, estrategias y percepciones sobre la evangelización digital. Se analizaron 240 publicaciones publicadas entre enero y junio de 2025, codificadas según criterios de contenido, tono comunicativo y nivel de interacción. Los resultados revelan que la mayoría de los mensajes se centra en experiencias personales o pastorales cotidianas, aunque también se abordan reflexiones teológicas adaptadas a un lenguaje accesible y mensajes institucionales o bíblicos. En cuanto al engagement, el promedio de interacción fue de 1.200 ‘me gusta’ y 80 comentarios por publicación. Los influencers analizados muestran coherencia entre su vida offline y online, y reconocen que su presencia digital como una extensión natural de su vocación. Se evidencia un estilo comunicativo basado en la cercanía, sencillez y transparencia
Correlative Microscopy and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy for Comprehensive Surface Characterization Before and After Laser Treatment of Tungsten Carbide-Cobalt Material
Comprehensive correlative characterization of material surfaces is essential for understanding how certain treatments, such as laser treatments, can modify their properties and overall performance. This study employs a multi-modal correlative microscopy approach, combining Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX), Optical Microscopy (OM), Focus-Variation Optical Microscopy (F-V OM) and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) to characterize laser-textured Tungsten Carbide-Cobalt (WC-Co) surfaces. The characterization was carried out on the same area before and after pulsed laser treatment at ambient atmosphere. The experiments revealed the persistence of surface defects, presumably caused by Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (WEDM) during sample preparation, which were further accentuated by the subsequent laser treatment. In addition, significant and non-uniform surface oxidation was observed, with elevated levels on specific flanks of laser-ablated grooves.
This analysis demonstrated that spatial property decoupling is key, as the maximum topographic height, nearing 7 μm height from the lowest surface point, did not spatially coincide with the extremes of the chemical composition or total deformation curves. Specifically, point analysis showed that oxygen concentrations varied sharply, reaching 29.02 atomic oxygen percentage on high-deformation zones, contrasting with 21.18 at.% O found at adjacent low-deformation zones.
Finally, the relationship among topography, chemical composition and nanomechanical
properties was demonstrated, and the value of applying multi-modal correlative microscopy for understanding laser-material interactions was underscored. The insights gained highlight the potential of the methodology for optimizing laser parameters to achieve targeted surface functionalities
Retroinnovación, o cómo el pasado se consume en los alimentos que hoy tenemos en la mesa: El caso de la tortilla en el contexto urbano de México
En el complejo contexto del consumo como fenómeno central de nuestras sociedades, y en particular de sus prácticas alimentarias actuales, existe una creciente inversión en el futuro del pasado, de modo que la tradición y la tradicionalidad persisten en la llamada modernidad a través de objetos y productos que parecen tener dificultades para apropiarse de significados idealizados ( Ariño, 2001 ). Específicamente en el consumo de alimentos, el interés por el pasado es una tendencia creciente que, para comprenderla, es esencial considerar los cambios en las sociedades actuales con la transformación de lo moderno a lo posmoderno ( Brown, 1999 ).The work addresses the current trend of taste for the past in a society in transformation, with tendency of nostalgic consumption of certain food products to mitigate the feeling of a past that no longer exists, but can be recreated through these products evoking an idealized past, socially constructed and legitimized from the cultural heritage and tradition. Retroinnovation is explored as a theoretical and conceptual tool in the field of contemporary food, studying the maize tortilla in the Mexican urban context. The tortilla is an emblematic food permeated by retroinnovation, where: a) dichotomy between the traditionally made tortilla and its industrialized production that values nostalgia, handmade elaboration and the color maize; b) gourmetisation where a basic and popular food is elevated to the category of gourmet in expensive restaurants and; c) as a symbol of identity, tortillas and maize are iconic references that appeal to nostalgia and pride of the Mexican culture. Retroinnovation as a concept includes nostalgia, past and present time, perceptions of food quality, tradition and modernity, gourmetisation, authenticity and highly significant symbolic values. Its definition of the concept will allow a better understanding of the current complex and polysemic dynamics of the food world.El trabajo aborda la tendencia actual del gusto por el pasado en una sociedad en transformación, con una tendencia al consumo nostálgico de ciertos productos alimenticios para mitigar la sensación de un pasado que ya no existe, pero que puede recrearse a través de estos productos, evocando un pasado idealizado, socialmente construido y legitimado a partir del patrimonio cultural y la tradición. Se explora la retroinnovación como herramienta teórica y conceptual en el campo de la alimentación contemporánea, estudiando la tortilla de maíz en el contexto urbano mexicano. La tortilla es un alimento emblemático permeado por la retroinnovación, donde: a) la dicotomía entre la tortilla tradicional y su producción industrializada, que valora la nostalgia, la elaboración artesanal y el color del maíz; b) la gourmetización, donde un alimento básico y popular se eleva a la categoría de gourmet en restaurantes de lujo; y c) como símbolo de identidad, las tortillas y el maíz son referencias icónicas que apelan a la nostalgia y el orgullo de la cultura mexicana. La retroinnovación como concepto incluye la nostalgia, el pasado y el presente, las percepciones de la calidad de la comida, la tradición y la modernidad, la gourmetización, la autenticidad y valores simbólicos de gran importancia. Su definición del concepto permitirá comprender mejor la compleja y polisémica dinámica actual del mundo alimentario
Plasticity-Induced Motor Recovery of Bilateral Intermittent Theta Burst Stimulation in Parkinson's Disease: A Randomized, Double-Blind, Sham-Controlled, Crossover Trial
Cortico-subcortical dysfunction from dopaminergic depletion is a hallmark of Parkinson's disease (PD). Modulating primary motor cortex (M1) excitability with intermittent theta burst stimulation (iTBS) may restore network integrity in PD by targeting neurobiological changes at excitatory, structural, and serological levels. This study aimed to demonstrate the clinical and neurobiological effects of bilateral M1 iTBS in patients with PD.
Bilateral M1 iTBS may represent a valuable adjunctive therapeutic option for pharmacological treatment of motor symptoms in patients with PD by promoting structural brain changes and enhancing synaptic plasticity in intermediate disease stages
Unveiling the large coverage of red snow algae blooms in antarctic coastal snowfields
Several locations across Antarctica are experiencing snow algal blooms on the surfaces of coastal snowfields, which significantly reduce surface albedo – by up to 20% – and consequently enhance the melting of snow and ice. Here we revealed the potential distribution of red snow algal blooms in the Antarctic South Shetland Islands between 2018 and 2024. A supervised machine learning approach was applied to 45 cloud-free Sentinel-2 images, using spectral information obtained from a drone-mounted hyperspectral sensor to monitor bloom extent across the entire archipelago. Our results provide clear evidence of the spatial distribution of red snow algae blooms in the South Shetland Islands, which covered up to 12% of the total surface area of a single island during the growth season. These findings offer valuable insights into the extent of red snow algae, supporting ongoing efforts to monitor their evolution and to understand their ecological implications under current climate change scenarios
Exploring novel aromatase cytochrome P450-binding ligands: Molecular docking and QSAR study of phorbol esters as aromatase inhibitors
A library comprising thirty-three natural and semi-synthetic phorbol derivatives was constructed and subsequently evaluated for aromatase (CYP19A1) inhibitory activity. The primary goal was to identify novel aromatase inhibitors through selective esterifications at the C-12, C-13 and C-20 positions of the phorbol skeleton. Twenty-two phorbol esters, fifteen of which were previously undescribed (5–9, 12 and 16–24), were obtained via semi-synthetic modifications. Additionally, ten 12-deoxyphorbol esters (25–34), four bearing an extra acyloxy chain at C-16, isolated from Euphorbia resinifera, were tested. Inhibition studies revealed that 12,13-diesters bearing medium-sized ester moieties (such as isobutyrate, tigliate or phenylacetate) exhibited the highest potency (IC50 = 0.9–6.4 μM). Conversely, shorter or longer ester chains significantly reduced activity (IC50 values ranging from 22.4 to 29.8 μM). An enhancement of potency was observed upon reduction of the α,β-unsaturated ketone at C-3 to an allylic alcohol. Molecular docking suggested that the phorbol derivatives bind within the aromatase activator-binding pocket, exerting their inhibitory actions through hydrogen-bond interactions with protein residues, independent of the heme group. The inhibitory potency correlated with the ability to establish these interactions. The activities of the most potent compounds are comparable to nonsteroidal, non-heme-binding aromatase inhibitors, such as stilbene and coumarin derivatives. Moreover, 3D-QSAR models were developed, with the most robust model (R2 = 0.908) highlighting the molecular descriptors NQC14 and AP as crucial modulators of the anti-aromatase activity. These findings provide a framework for future optimization of phorbol ester as selective aromatase inhibitors
Invasion dynamics and management of the Atlantic blue crab (Callinectes sapidus) in a European salt marsh: Evidence from the Bay of Cádiz, Spain
Biological invasions are reshaping coastal ecosystems, yet invader performance in aquaculture-influenced salt marsh habitats remains poorly resolved. We conducted an 18-month survey (January 2023–July 2024) at two contrasting salt marsh sites in the Bay of C´adiz, Spain, to compare the invasive Atlantic blue crab (Callinectes sapidus) with the native European green crab (Carcinus maenas). Monthly fyke-net sampling was paired with concurrent prey assessments and water-column measurements. We captured 168 C. sapidus and 1086 C. maenas individuals. Mean abundance (individuals net 1 24 h 1 ) was higher for C. sapidus at the Fish site (1.83 ± 0.36) and for C. maenas at the Oyster site (16.28 ± 1.91). Biomass (ash free dry mass, g) was higher for C. sapidus at the Fish site (11.63 ± 2.08 vs 4.58 ± 1.15 at the Oyster site) and for C. maenas at the Oyster site (10.53 ± 1.22 vs 1.12 ± 0.43 at the Fish site). Body sizes mirrored these patterns (C. sapidus at Fish site: +14.5 mm carapace width, +5.9 mm carapace length relative to Oyster site; C. maenas at the Oyster site: +2.7 mm carapace width, +2.3 mm carapace length versus the Fish site; p < 0.05). Seasonal peaks differed (C. sapidus: late spring–early summer; C. maenas: winter–spring), with a winter non detection of C. sapidus. Linear mixed-effects models showed that C. sapidus abundance increased under warmer, macroinfauna-rich conditions, whereas C. maenas was more abundant in cooler, more turbid waters with higher availability of fish and hyperbenthic prey. These patterns suggest thermal-prey pathways in aquaculture-modified salt marshes and provide cues for targeted monitoring, removal, and future management
Cursos universitarios de creación de empresas: perspectivas bibliométricas y desafíos para una educación emprendedora transformadora.
This study bibliometrically analyzes the evolution and structure of scientific literature on university-level business creation courses. Using the Web of Science database, 5208 articles from 1965 to 2024 were examined to identify trends, thematic clusters, and pedagogical methodologies. Results reveal exponential growth in publications post-2000, driven by competency-based education and active methodologies such as design thinking and experiential learning. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy, resilience, and the entrepreneurial mindset emerge as prominent themes, reflecting a shift from business-centered to pedagogically oriented approaches emphasizing transformative learning and sustainability. The field demonstrates increasing internationalization, albeit with geographical concentration. This study offers targeted insights for curriculum redesign, teacher training, and developing transformative entrepreneurship education programs, advocating for coherent content and method integration

In an era in which access to information is greater than ever, the general population
paradoxically holds increasing levels of misinformation about specific topics. This is
particularly evident in the field of sexuality. Today, individuals often seek information on
the internet that may originate from sources of questionable reliability, resulting in content
that can be confusing or inaccurate. For this reason, scientifically grounded, evidence-based
information becomes especially relevant. The aim of this Research Topic has been to
provide accurate and useful information on this topic, both for the general population
and for professionals, by presenting a diverse and compelling collection of articles that will
equip professionals with practical tools and foster interest in sexological science among
the public
Effects of a Strength and Creative Dance Intervention on Brain Electrical Activity, Heart Rate Variability, and Dual-Task Performance in Women with Fibromyalgia: A Randomized Controlled Trial Protocol
Fibromyalgia is a complex chronic disorder involving persistent widespread pain accompanied
by functional limitations, cognitive impairments, and alterations in neural processing.
Previous research indicates that exercise-based interventions can play a key role in alleviating
symptom burden and enhancing physical performance; however, there is limited
evidence regarding their impact on neurophysiological mechanisms. Creative dance, in
combination with strength training, may stimulate both motor and cognitive systems,
promoting brain plasticity and functional improvements. This study will analyze the effects
of a six-week strength and creative dance program on physical fitness under single- and
dual-task conditions in women with fibromyalgia and will explore the associated changes
in brain electrical activity and autonomic modulation. Methods: This randomized controlled
trial will be divided into an exercise group (n = 22) and a control group (n = 22).
The 6-week supervised intervention consists of two 60-min sessions per week, combining
strength exercises and creative dance. Primary outcomes include physical fitness tests
(strength, mobility, balance, and agility gait test in single-task and dual-task), fibromyalgia
symptoms, and quality of life. Secondary outcomes include changes in electroencephalography,
heart rate variability, physical activity level, and fear of falling. Statistical analyses
will compare within- and between-group differences using non-parametric tests and effect
sizes. It is hypothesized that the intervention will improve physical fitness and dual-task
performance, alongside increases in brain activity power. This study may provide insights
into the neurophysiological mechanisms underlying the benefits of exercise benefits
