Malestamos. Cuando estar mal es un problema colectivo.

    No full text

    No full text
The way of constructing psychiatric experience and determining it has been carried out on the basis of naturalistic and psychologistic positions, which are still the dominant ones after almost two hundred years. However, the fact of assimilating psychiatric knowledge to a mere empirical-analytical science has brought nothing but instability, something that is forcefully evident throughout history and the discriminating insufficiency of the current clinical practice. It is necessary to consider the philosophical implications of approaching this open empirical field where subjectivity cannot be segregated and is articulated on a pluralistic and discontinuous ontology. It is postulated that only psychopathology, in its exercise as a procedure both logical and intellectual, allows to relate the different planes of reality in which it develops and to try to close its field in order to provide psychiatry with the necessary stability required for its clinical praxis.

    No full text
Carlos Castilla del Pino’s work on psychopathology is mostly unknown by the new generations of residents. This can be accounted for by reasons that are external and internal to his work. However, questions posed by Castilla in his psychopathology work may have validity, irrespective of the answers he proposed, which can be criticised. Some strategies to update Castilla’s proposals that can be used on teaching descriptive psychopathology to trainees are presented.

Occupation of Kyrgyzstan by Russians (second half of 19th century)

Anahtar Kelimeler: Rus İşgali, Türkistan Derlemesi, Sömürge, Hokand HanlığıIn our thesis on the occupation of Kyrgyzstan by the Russians (Second Half of the 19th Century), how the scientists of the Soviet Era evaluated this event and from which perspective they looked at the event were examined from different perspectives. The most important source of our research is the "Turkestan Collection". Because in this compilation, there is information about the Kokand Khanate and its collapse process and the political structures carried out by the Russian Empire. In addition, in this compilation, valuable information about the social life, economic situation, culture, religion and geography of Turkestan and Turkic peoples in the old, middle and modern ages are also included. It is known that B. Camgerchinov, one of the most important scientists of Kyrgyzstan, stated that "Kyrgyzstan voluntarily came under the protection of Russia". At that time, it was not possible to express or think about any other theory. Until the independence of Kyrgyzstan, this theory was accepted during the period of Turdakun Usubaliyev. Kyrgyzstan's coming under Russian domination in the 19th century has been discussed by Kyrgyz scholars from different perspectives in recent history and this issue has been explained with statements contrary to the first theory. Famous historians such as T. Kenesariyev, T. Çorotegin, T. Ömürbekov, among the Kyrgyz scientists, stated as a result of their research that Kyrgyzstan did not voluntarily fall under the protection of the Russian Empire, and that even Southern Kyrgyzstan was conquered in a bloody way. Although this concept seems to contradict the principles of the effective political structure of the period, it is actually an opinion that was put forward as a result of researches made in terms of world history. Kyrgyzstan, which Russia wanted to colonize, started to attract the attention of Russia since the first quarter of the 19th century. The policy of domination, which existed at that time, became even stronger in the 1860s. The policy of putting the Kyrgyz lands under Russian rule was realized with the collapse of the Kokand Khanate in 1876. Keywords: Russian İnvasion, Turkestan Collection, Colony, Khanate of Kokan

The Ethics of Bribery: Theoretical and Empirical Studies

    No full text
While most people assume that all bribery is unethical, the literature provides examples and philosophical arguments to support the proposition that some bribery may actually be ethical, based on utilitarian grounds. This book provides a theoretical and empirical examination of bribery from an ethical perspective. It examines empirical data from over 80 countries and reports on attitudes toward bribery examining demographic variables such as gender, age, ethnicity, education, income level, religion and social class. Multi-country comparisons are provided to determine whether views toward bribery differ by geographic location. © The Editor(s) (if applicable) and The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023

Pirofillit Cevherinden Alümina Üretimine Zenginleştirme Yöntemlerinin Etkisi

    No full text

Effectiveness of game-based core exercise in children with non-neuropathic bladder dysfunction and comparison to biofeedback therapy

    No full text
Objectives This study was planned to evaluate the effectiveness of game-based core exercises in children diagnosed with non-neuropathic bladder dysfunction and compare this effectiveness to that of the biofeedback treatment method. Methods The study included 48 children, aged 6-13 years, who were diagnosed with non-neuropathic bladder dysfunction. The children satisfying the inclusion criteria were selected by drawing lots from the population with the method of nonprobability random sampling. The patients were divided into three groups: group I, game-based core stabilization exercise training; group II, biofeedback program; and group III, game-based core stabilization exercise training in addition to the biofeedback program. The Dysfunctional Voiding and Incontinence Symptom Scale (DVISS) scores and uroflowmetry values of the patients were evaluated before and after the treatment. Results The mean age of the participants was 8.81 +/- 2.08 years. There was a statistically significant difference between the pretreatment and post-treatment DVISS scores in all three groups (p < .05). However, no significant difference was found among the groups. There was no statistically significant difference in the uroflowmetry results of the patients in group I and II before and after the treatment. In group III, the time to maximum flow rate after treatment was significantly reduced, and the average flow rate was significantly increased. Conclusions According to the results of this study, the use of game-based exercises along with biofeedback treatment may reduce DVISS scores in children with non-neuropathic bladder dysfunction. A combination of the two methods may have positively affected the uroflowmetry results of the patients. We think that game-based exercises will contribute to the literature as a new treatment option in the treatment of non-neuropathic bladder dysfunction.Scientific Projects Coordination Unit of Inonu University [TYL2019-1835]Scientific Projects Coordination Unit of Inonu University, Grant/Award Number: TYL2019-183

    No full text
In this study, the characterization study of the oil of linden seeds obtained by the extraction method was carried out. The outer shells of linden seeds collected from Malatya region in August 2018 were cleaned before extraction. Hexane, ethyl alcohol and acetone were used as solvents. Elemental analysis, XRD (X-Ray Diffraction), SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy), ash determination and saponification number determinations were performed for characterization processes. After the analysis, the oil yield with ethyl alcohol was determined as 33% by weight with acetone, 28.65% for hexane and 28% for acetone. In linden seed fatty acid, it was determined as oleic acid: 27.442 for acetone, 30.852 for hexane, 10.955 for acetone by weight, 11.929 for hexane, linoleic acid: 51.188 for acetone, 44.145 for hexane. The soap number value was determined as 232.48 mg KOH/g for ethyl alcohol, 176.72 mgKOH/g for hexane and 246.94 mg KOH/g oil for acetone. While the ash determination value was 5.755% for the seed, the shell ash was determined as 2.1% differently

EMT and Inflammation: Crossroads in HCC

    No full text
Hepatocellular carcinoma is one of the major causes of cancer-related deaths worldwide and is associated with several inflammatory mediators, since 90% of HCCs occur based on chronic hepatitis B or C, alcoholism or increasingly metabolic syndrome-associated inflammation. EMT is a physiological process, with coordinated changes in epithelial gene signatures and is regulated by multiple factors, including cytokines and growth factors such as TGF beta, EGF, and FGF. Recent reports propose a strong association between EMT and inflammation, which is also correlated with tumor aggressiveness and poor outcomes. Cellular heterogeneity results collectively as an outcome of EMT, inflammation, and the tumor microenvironment, and it plays a fundamental role in the progression, complexity of cancer, and chemoresistance. In this review, we highlight recent developments concerning the association of EMT and inflammation in the context of HCC progression. Identifying potential EMT-related biomarkers and understanding EMT regulatory molecules will likely contribute to promising developments in clinical practice and will be a valuable tool for predicting metastasis in general and specifically in HCC.NIH [CA 82723]; TUBITAK [114Z245, 117Z223, 120N556, 219Z034]This work was supported in part by NIH grant number CA 82723 (to BIC) and TUBITAK grant numbers 114Z245, 117Z223, 120N556, and 219Z034 (to H.A)
