Patrocinio de los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio 2020 y la Copa Mundial de la FIFA Qatar 2022 en X e Instagram: Un análisis comparativo de la activación digital y el tipo de contenido
No full textIntroduction: The aim of this study was to perform a comparative analysis of the activation of sponsorship
of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 on social media. Methodology: A mixed-
method study design was conceived, combining an analysis of the quantitative and qualitative content of
posts on the global and Spanish X and Instagram accounts of 16 sponsors. These were International Olympic
Committee and Spanish Olympic Committee sponsors, as well as official FIFA World Cup 2022 sponsors.
Results: After analysing a sample of 4,791 posts, the results revealed interesting findings regarding the
volume of posts about these two mega-events on the one hand, and the thematic types of post on the
other. In general terms, it was concluded that the Olympic sponsors had devoted efforts to promoting their
links with the Olympic Games, while the FIFA World Cup sponsors had generated a higher number of posts.
At the same time, it was found that cross-pollination had only been partially used in the brands’ stories:
some did not interconnect their global and national communication strategies, and the brands’ stories on
X and Instagram did not match. Conclusions: The most common themes of the activation of both
sponsorships were informing and interacting, which stood out much more than other types such as
entertaining or rewarding.Introducción: El objetivo del presente estudio era realizar un análisis comparativo de la activación del
patrocinio de los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio 2020 y la Copa Mundial de la FIFA Qatar 2022 en las redes
sociales. Metodología: Se concibió un diseño de estudio de método mixto, donde se combinan un
análisis del contenido cuantitativo y cualitativo de las publicaciones (posts) en las cuentas X e Instagram
globales y españolas de 16 patrocinadores. Se trataba de patrocinadores del Comité Olímpico
Internacional y del Comité Olímpico Español, así como patrocinadores oficiales de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA 2022. Resultados: Tras analizar una muestra de 4791
publicaciones, los resultados revelaron hallazgos interesantes en relación con el volumen de
publicaciones sobre estos dos megaeventos, por una parte, y los tipos temáticos de las publicaciones,
por otra. En términos generales, se concluyó que los patrocinadores olímpicos se esforzaron en gran
medida para promocionar sus vínculos con los Juegos Olímpicos, mientras que los patrocinadores de
la Copa Mundial de la FIFA habían generado un mayor número de publicaciones. Al mismo tiempo, se
constató que la polinización cruzada sólo se había utilizado de forma parcial en las historias de las
marcas: algunas no interconectaron sus estrategias de comunicación global y nacional, y las historias
de las marcas en X e Instagram no coincidían. Conclusiones: Los temas más comunes de la activación
de ambos patrocinios fueron informar e interactuar, lo cuales se destacaron mucho más que otros tipos
como entretener o recompensar
The Reciprocal Relationship Between Vocational Indecision and Academic Stress, and How to Cope with It Through Resilience
No full textVocational indecision refers to the difficulty students face when making decisions about their future careers. It can increase academic stress due to the pressure adolescents feel when having to make important decisions. Resilience is a crucial skill for coping with and adapting to these challenges and stressful situations. This study aims to analyse the relationship between different dimensions of academic stress and vocational indecision, including the influence of resilience factors. This study included 345 students in their final year of compulsory secondary education who completed a Resilience Scale, an Academic Stress Inventory, and a Vocational Indecision questionnaire. Results: The findings indicate that the vocational indecision variables most related to academic stress are informationseeking and psycho-emotionality. The stress symptoms dimension (concentration problems and anxiety) best explains vocational indecision. Persistence, tenacity, and self-efficacy are resilience variables that significantly explain both academic stress and vocational indecision. The reciprocal relationship between vocational indecision and academic stress highlights how uncertainty about the future can increase pressure in school. Resilience helps adolescents face these challenges by developing coping strategies and maintaining a positive attitude. An integrated program is proposed for secondary education to improve vocational decision-making, reduce academic stress, and foster resilience in students
GameScript: a simplified scripting language for video game development
No full textThe process of video game development is complex, requiring profciency in various technologies for design and implementation, including mastery of game engines and associated programming languages. Defning the behaviors of game elements within the necessary subprocesses poses a signifcant challenge. This challenge arises partly due to the utilization of general-purpose programming languages, which ofer a wide range of options and allow tasks to be approached from diferent angles. This study introduces GameScript, a simplifed scripting language designed for video game development. Based on principles of structured programming and inspired by the While language, GameScript focuses on essential game behavior defnitions using a limited set of statements, including IF-THEN-ELSE selection and operations related to game elements to create and destroy them, or to modify properties. By using only numeric variables and simple arithmetic and relational operators, GameScript simplifes data handling and allows for the creation of various arcade games with straightforward syntax. Integrated into a multi-agent system game engine, GameScript has been validated through the successful implementation of diverse arcade game mechanics, demonstrating its efectiveness.Funding for open access charge: CRUE-Universitat Jaume

El género de la tecnología: los marcos sociales y jurídicos de las tecnologías de la traducción y la interpretación
No full textTranslation and interpreting technologies are advancing at an unprecedented pace. Despite such developments impacting fundamental social rights, the legal frameworks have paid little attention to their implications. Based on the challenges posed to the idea of technology and legal frameworks being gendered in the peer review process of an editorial project on gendered technology in translation and interpreting, this contribution addresses social beliefs that hamper the equitable progress of translation and interpreting technologies. The claims are: (a) that technology is not gendered, (b) that the law is universal and unbiased, (c) that sex and gender are distinct, the former being biological and binary and only the latter being socially constructed, (d) that there is no empirical basis for claiming that gendered language impacts on equal opportunities for women and men, and (e) that there is no need for technology to be developed taking social justice issues into account.
Las tecnologías de la traducción y la interpretación (TTI) avanzan a un ritmo sin precedentes. A pesar de que estos avances repercuten en los derechos sociales fundamentales, los marcos jurídicos han prestado escasa atención a sus implicaciones. Sobre la base del proceso de revisión por pares de un proyecto editorial sobre el género en TTI, esta contribución aborda creencias sociales que obstaculizan el progreso equitativo de estas tecnologías, a saber: (a) que la tecnología no está marcada por el género, (b) que la ley es universal e imparcial, (c) que el sexo y el género son distintos, el primero es biológico y binario, y solo el segundo se construye socialmente, (d) que no hay base empírica para afirmar que el lenguaje sexista repercute en la igualdad de

Tiempos de América. Revista de Historia de América Latina. Nueva Época, sigue teniendo el mismo propósito que antaño, ahora más reforzado si cabe: difundir el conocimiento histórico e historiográfico, promover el debate entre especialistas de las ciencias históricas, compilar temáticas de interés histórico, rescatar y poner en valor interpretaciones históricas que podemos ya titular como clásicas, así como presentar las trayectorias de aquellos/as investigadores/as que tanto nos han enseñado. Todo ello con la misma ilusión y pasión que nos llevaron a enfrentarnos a los desafíos de la comprensión del pasado brin-dando propuestas alentadoras a los problemas que enfrenta América Latina en el siglo XXI. porcelánico, uno con un sistema de combustión convencional y un segundo atomizador
utilizando hidrógeno como combustible, realizando así la comparación entre ambos sistemas
para conocer si es factible o no el cambio de combustible, tanto desde el punto de vista
técnico como medioambiental, puesto que, con el combustible de hidrógeno, se reducirán
considerablemente las emisiones de CO2.
Por otro lado, también se llevará a cabo el diseño de un tanque de almacenamiento,
considerando que el caudal a atomizar es de 6.643,73 ?? ?? ??ℎ??????? en continuo. Se tendrá en
cuenta el uso de sistemas de depuración comerciales para los atomizadores, ciclón y filtro de
mangas, que complementan lo descrito en el párrafo anterior.
Se revisará la legislación estatal y autonómica de evaluación ambiental y de prevención y de
control integrados de contaminación, y, en base de dicha legislación, se indicará si es
necesario un estudio de impacto ambiental para llevar a cabo el proyecto.
En este trabajo, además de la viabilidad técnica y medioambiental del uso de hidrógeno como
combustible, se realizará un estudio de viabilidad económica, determinándose las
rentabilidades comparadas de los dos sistemas estudiados.
Finalmente, tras todo el estudio, se llegó a la conclusión que el uso de ambos combustibles se
puede llevar a cabo; sin embargo, el uso de H2, a pesar de ser menos contaminante, es mucho
más costoso que el gas natural. Se plantean ambas alternativas y se deja la elección al
promotor del proyecto

No full textMultimodality has been a crucial concept in audiovisual translation (AVT) research that has allowed scholars to explore the audiovisual text. In this vein, researchers should move beyond the idea of AD being a homogenous notion to incorporate a multimodal view where the AD script is the result of different sign systems whose interaction conveys complex meanings. In this study, we first examine how the contents of AD scripts can be described using Chaume’s (2004) proposal of the multimodal meaning codes. Secondly, we explore if this multimodal analysis can account for any difference between the English and Spanish versions. The interaction of multimodal information in an AD script fragment from the Netflix series Elite in both languages was addressed by resorting to a qualitative and quantitative analysis. Our results show that multimodality can describe the sign systems that comprise AD scripts. Moreover, the core of AD scripts in both languages consists of mainly visual information: movement, iconography, textual elements, and spatio-temporal changes. Therefore, we can state that Elite’s AD script in English and Spanish is constituted by four sources of visual information, which can help future researchers to study AD in a more precise way from different perspectives and methodologies
Control and sorting of inhomogeneous dielectric core–shell nanoparticles using two counter-propagating plane waves
No full textMany typical nanoscale structures consist of dielectric nanoparticles with an inevitable oxide-generated coating around them. Depending on the fabrication techniques and the intended purposes, these coatings may not be homogeneous, and their distortion can cause advantages or disadvantages in the applications of such systems. Based on finite element simulations, inhomogeneous core–shell nanoparticle systems are numerically studied when illuminated with two counter-propagating plane waves in the optical range. It is found that the electromagnetic field distortions caused by the inhomogeneous system under Mie resonance conditions allow the system to exhibit controllable one-directional impulsion and rotation, which mainly depends on the offset between the core and shell. The overall geometry and composition of the system also dictate the type of resonance being excited. Overall, this “photonic thruster” effect consisting of an accelerating and spinning projectile would provide stability to particle movement and additionally establish a method to distinguish inhomogeneous from homogeneous particles. The method can be scaled to a wide range of nanoscale dielectric particles. Thus, the results are useful for detecting defects in nanosystems with a simple concept and may open avenues for improving nanoparticle synthesis methods.Funding for open access charge: CRUE-Universitat Jaume
