Get PDFSaverio y Chadli vs. Mario y Saleh es un diálogo a dos voces sobre la relación entre el islam de segunda generación y nosotros. Mario y Saleh son los dos personajes de la obra, y Saverio y Chadli las personas reales que los interpretan. Por un lado, está la representación ante el público; por el otro, superpuesta a esta última, el diálogo privado entre ambos. Al poner en entredicho a Mario, Chadli también acusa a Saverio, que es el creador del espectáculo. Este texto es el punto de llegada de un proceso de escritura in itinere que empezó con Mario y Saleh, cuyo debut fue en el Romaeuropa Festival el 26 de octubre de 2019. Validation of Sentinel-3 SLSTR Land Surface Temperature Retrieved by the Operational Product and Comparison with Explicitly Emissivity-Dependent Algorithms
Get PDFLand surface temperature (LST) is an essential climate variable (ECV) for monitoring the Earth climate system. To ensure accurate retrieval from satellite data, it is important to validate satellite derived LSTs and ensure that they are within the required accuracy and precision thresholds. An emissivity-dependent split-window algorithm with viewing angle dependence and two dual-angle algorithms are proposed for the Sentinel-3 SLSTR sensor. Furthermore, these algorithms are validated together with the Sentinel-3 SLSTR operational LST product as well as several emissivity-dependent split-window algorithms with in-situ data from a rice paddy site. The LST retrieval algorithms were validated over three different land covers: flooded soil, bare soil, and full vegetation cover. Ground measurements were performed with a wide band thermal infrared radiometer at a permanent station. The coefficients of the proposed split-window algorithm were estimated using the Cloudless Land Atmosphere Radiosounding (CLAR) database: for the three surface types an overall systematic uncertainty (median) of −0.4 K and a precision (robust standard deviation) 1.1 K were obtained. For the Sentinel-3A SLSTR operational LST product, a systematic uncertainty of 1.3 K and a precision of 1.3 K were obtained. A first evaluation of the Sentinel-3B SLSTR operational LST product was also performed: systematic uncertainty was 1.5 K and precision 1.2 K. The results obtained over the three land covers found at the rice paddy site show that the emissivity-dependent split-window algorithms, i.e., the ones proposed here as well as previously proposed algorithms without angular dependence, provide more accurate and precise LSTs than the current version of the operational SLSTR product
Navegant pel delta del Nil: apunts geomorfològics de la guia d’Isambert (1878)
Get PDFTradicionalment la cartografia històrica ha estat una font important d’informació per als geògrafs.En el cas del delta del Nil, l’atles de la Description de l’Egipte de la campanya de Napoleó (publicat entre1809 i 1828), els treballs de Linant de Bellefonds, fets per al disseny del canal de Sues, així com les observacionsmatemàtiques de Mahmoud-Bey, van servir per a fer un mapa molt complet del delta. Formapart de l’Itinéraire descriptif, historique et archéologique de l’Orient: Malte, Égypte, Nubie, Abyssinie et Sinai,d’Émile Isambert (1878). A partir d’aquesta obra, en aquest article, s’ha elaborat un mapa geomorfològicque malda per caracteritzar les formes del delta al segle xix. La comparació d’aquest mapa amb l’actual(fet a partir d’imatges de satèl·lit i models digitals d’elevacions) ha permès constatar els profunds canvispatits pel delta durant els darrers 150 anys. La reducció de les albuferes i marjals, l’erosió de la costa ila destrucció dels sistemes dunars continentals i litorals son aclaparadores, encara que semblants a lesque han patit de forma generalitzada els deltes i les costes mediterrànies

Es remarca que, respecte la centúria anterior, els canvis més rellevants es van produir en el terreny del consum i de la divulgació.Paraules clau: Diaris personals, historiografia catalana, “Guerra dels Segadors”, cultura del Barroc.Abstract: Based on the assertion that the seasoner Miquel Parets makes in his diary of self-consideration understood in «istòrias», the causes and ways of expanding the knowledge of historical discourse in the Catalan society of the Baroque are explored. Get PDFLa situación de la educación artística en el panorama escolar resulta ciertamente preocupante, algo que podemos comprobar en cualquier país de Latinoamérica. El resultado de esta pérdida se ha evidenciado de manera dramática en las dos décadas que llevamos de siglo. Las manifestaciones de las artes visuales han tomado un papel decisivo en los hogares y el espacio público, de forma muy llamativa durante la pandemia del coronavirus. Sin embargo, en el ámbito legal, en el entorno curricular de la educación formal, las artes visuales están perdiendo peso, de modo que se recortan drásticamente las horas asignadas, e incluso disminuye el número de profesorado especialista. Resulta difícil de entender que en una sociedad invadida por las imágenes, el estudio de la cultura visual no se considere algo prioritario
Middle Ordovician trilobites from the Castillejo Formation, Eastern Iberian Range (NE Spain): taxonomic reappraisal, biostratigraphy, and correlation
Get PDFMiddle Ordovician trilobites found in 11 fossil localities from the areas of Alpartir, Aladrén, Luesma and Fombuena (Zaragoza province), and south of Calamocha (Teruel province) are studied. Most records come from the Alpartir Member of the Castillejo Formation, which is dated as Dobrotivian in age (late Darriwilian according to the global scale), with the only exception of two localities that are slightly older, from late Oretanian age (mid−late Darriwilian). In the overlying Sierra Member, three additional localities are recorded, which have estimated age ranges from late early to late Dobrotivian (latest Darriwilian, possibly reaching the Sandbian). A total of 21 different trilobite species were identified including Uralichas hispanicus, Parabarrandia crassa and “Panderia” beaumonti that are recorded for the first time in the Eastern Iberian Range. The main trilobite assemblage from the Alpartir Member belongs to the Placoparia tournemini Biozone, which correlates with numerous areas of southwestern Europe, and here occurs in a biofacies dominated by asaphids. The scarce data derived from the Sierra Member do not allow to distinguish biozones, although the incipient development of a trilobite biofacies adapted to sandy bottoms is recognized, which ends at the top of the Placoparia borni Biozone in the whole of southwestern Europe. The correlation of the trilobite assemblages with those of other formations represented in the Cantabrian, West Asturian-leonese and Central Iberian zones is also discussed, the latter probably related through the enigmatic Central Iberian Arc, a debated orocline of the Iberian Massif.

Second, to emphasize the importance of integrating current ecological research with fossil data to gain deeper insights on life's evolution and the causality of extinction events. Finally, I advocate for the integration of living organisms’ ecology with evolutionary biology and genetics, into the training of 21st-century palaeontologists

Las tecnologías emergentes permiten nuevas metodologías activas, donde el estudiantado es protagonista de su aprendizaje. Este artículo explora, a partir de lo ya descrito en la literatura y las evidencias encontradas en otras áreas del conocimiento, cómo aplicar metodologías activas y renovar los procesos de evaluación gracias a técnicas como el learning analytics y los sistemas de respuesta del estudiantado para mejorar del logro y la motivación de los estudiantes, al tiempo que permite un cambio de paradigma en los procesos de evaluación
