Una revisión sistemática de las funciones neuropsicológicas de atención y memoria de personas mayores en el entrenamiento cognitivo computarizado
Get PDFEste artigo aborda uma revisão sistemática sobre as funções neuropsicológicas da atenção e da memória em pessoas idosas submetidas a treinamento cognitivo computadorizado. A pesquisa foi realizada em bases de dados eletrônicas, incluindo Lilacs, Medline, Scopus, Web of Science, Scielo, Sbie, Eric, IEEE Xplore, Ovid, Science Direct, SpringerLink, SAGE Journals e Wiley Online Library, considerando artigos publicados nos últimos 12 anos, em português, inglês e espanhol. Os critérios de elegibilidade incluíram a definição explícita da área de concentração, a utilização de treinamento cognitivo informatizado, a existência de resultados e um público composto por pessoas idosas. A seleção dos estudos foi realizada em três etapas: identificação, triagem e elegibilidade, contando com a participação de dois pesquisadores de forma simultânea e
independente. A pesquisa bibliográfica resultou em um total de 328 estudos e, após exclusão dos estudos duplicados e revisão de títulos, resumos e textos completos, foram incluídos 20 estudos para a síntese qualitativa. A caracterização dos estudos incluídos na revisão sistemática foi apresentada em um quadro que detalha informações sobre os principais autores, ano de publicação, país de origem da pesquisa, critérios de elegibilidade, fontes de dados, instrumentos de avaliação, tipo de estudo, método, objetivos resultados
esperados, resultados clínicos, métodos de análise, limitações, lacunas e implicações clínicas. Como resultado, verificou-se a importância da estimulação cognitiva como estilo de vida saudável para o cérebro, e identificou-se que a utilização do treinamento cognitivo informatizado apresenta ganhos nas funções neuropsicológicas de atenção e memória em pessoas idosas.Abstract: This article addresses a systematic review of the neuropsychological functions of attention and memory in elderly people undergoing computerized cognitive training. Eligibility criteria included the explicit definition of the area of concentration, the use of computerized cognitive training, the existence of results and an audience
composed of elderly people. The selection of studies was carried out in three stages: identification, screening, and eligibility, with the participation of two researchers simultaneously and independently. The bibliographical research resulted in a total of 328 studies and, after excluding duplicate studies and reviewing titles, abstracts, and full texts, 20 studies were included for qualitative synthesis. The characterization of the studies included in the systematic review was presented in a table that details information about the main authors, year of
publication, country of origin of the research, eligibility criteria, data sources, evaluation instruments, type of study, method, objectives expected outcomes, clinical outcomes, analysis methods, limitations, gaps, and clinical implications. Industry 4.0 in the automotive sector: development of a decision support tool for car dealerships using simulation

This research work develops a decision support tool based on system dynamics, that address the problem of car dealership sales forecast and evolution depending on the commercial strategies adopted. This decision support tool considers main variables that are expected to influence car sales in Portugal. To develop this tool several
interviews were conducted with the people responsible for the commercial sector of different dealerships while considering existing literature on the subject. This allowed us to parameterize a system dynamics model with the most influential sales factors. The developed tool is expected to contribute to car dealerships to

No full textDissertação apresentada à Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas do Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco para obtenção do grau de Mestre em Design de Interiores e Mobiliário.O presente documento consiste no relatório de estágio desenvolvido no âmbito do segundo ano letivo do Mestrado em Design de Interiores e Mobiliário, pertencente à Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas, do Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco.
O estágio teve a duração de dez meses (5/9/2022 – 21/7/2023) e foi concretizado no departamento ESARTPROJECTFACTORY da ESART.
Ao longo deste relatório, os capítulos Introdução, Enquadramento Teórico, ESARTPROJECTFACTORY e Estágio são explorados para fornecer uma visão abrangente das atividades e aprendizagem realizadas.
Na Introdução, são delineados os objetivos do estágio e apresentada a justificação para o desenvolvimento do estágio curricular neste local.
O Enquadramento Teórico destaca as bases conceituais e teóricas que sustentaram as abordagens colaborativas adotadas ao longo do estágio, sendo destacada a temática do Design nas suas componentes de projeto, ensino e de fabricação/desenvolvimento de protótipos.
O terceiro capítulo diz respeito à apresentação do local de estágio, incluindo a Por fim, no Estágio são apresentadas as atividades desempenhadas, isto é, tarefas de colaboração no ensino, em projetos, eventos e tarefas de organização; dinamização de redes sociais; e desenvolvimento de projetos de design. Os projetos apresentados inserem-se, maioritariamente, nas áreas de design de equipamento, mobiliário e componentes cénicos.
Estas atividades permitiram a aplicação prática das competências de estruturação, gestão de tempo e interação com diversos públicos, evidenciando a importância da colaboração em ambientes dinâmicos.contextualização das instalações e uma descrição dos serviços e colaboradores.Abstract :
The present document consists of the internship report developed during the scope of the second academic year of the Master's Degree in Interior and Furniture Design, belonging to the Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas, Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco.
The internship lasted for ten months (5/9/2022 – 21/7/2023) and was carried out in the ESARTPROJECTFACTORY department of ESART.
Throughout the report, the chapters Introduction, Theoretical Framework, ESARTPROJECTFACTORY, and Internship are explored to provide a comprehensive overview of the activities and learning accomplished.
In the Introduction, the internship objectives are outlined, and the rationale for conducting the curricular internship at this location is presented.
The Theoretical Framework highlights the conceptual and theoretical foundations that supported the collaborative approaches adopted throughout the internship, with a focus on the theme of Design in its components of project, teaching, and manufacturing/prototype development.
The third chapter pertains to the presentation of the internship site, including the contextualization of the facilities and a description of the services and collaborators. Finally, in the Internship chapter, the performed activities are presented, including collaborative tasks in teaching, projects, events and organizational task; social media management; and design project development. The presented projects are primarily within the areas of equipment design, furniture and scenic components.
These activities facilitated the practical application of skills related to organization, time management, and interaction with diverse audiences, highlighting the importance of collaboration in dynamic environments

Early detection of metastatic disease through screening ultrasound
No full textA ecografia de triagem é crucial nos serviços de emergência, fornecendo orientação precisa para pacientes em diversas situações clínicas. A ecografia é móvel, produz imagens em tempo real e é isenta de radiação. É uma ferramenta apta para ambientes de meios tecnológicos limitados e ausência de médicos especialistas. O uso da ecografia de triagem entre profissionais de saúde, independentemente do seu nível de especialização em ultrassonografia, nasce da necessidade de responder a dúvidas clínicas concretas na prática quotidiana.
Este artigo enfatiza o papel crucial da ecografia de triagem num caso de abdómen agudo. A sua integração com a radiologia convencional melhora significativamente a orientação clínica, facilitando decisões de tratamento e encaminhamentos à especialidade quando necessário.
Neste caso específico, foram analisadas imagens de ecografia de triagem, radiografia abdominal e exame tomografia computorizada juntamente com relatórios clínicos para avaliar a orientação clínica dada num serviço de emergência básico periférico. O paciente em causa apresentava sintomas abdominais agudos, revelando suspeita de metástases hepáticas, líquido livre intraperitoneal e sinais de obstrução intestinal no exame de triagem ecográfica. Estes achados foram confirmados por tomografia computorizada no hospital de referência.
A ecografia de triagem pode revolucionar a segurança do paciente, economizando tempo ao detetar precocemente patologias, prevenindo sobrelotação nos departamentos de emergência de hospitais centrais de referência.
A deteção ultrassonográfica de imagens suspeitas de metástases é comum em ambientes hospitalares onde diversos meios diagnósticos avançados e especialidades médicas estão presentes. A utilização do ultrassom como ferramenta de triagem e orientação clínica de primeira linha em ambientes pré-hospitalares está em consonância com as estratégias médicas contemporâneas, que visam aprimorar a deteção e a intervenção precoces.Abstract: Screening ultrasound is crucial in emergency care, providing precise guidance for patients in various situations. Its versatility, real-time imaging, and lack of radiation make it invaluable, especially in settings lacking diagnostic resources and specialized expertise. The widespread use of screening ultrasound among health professionals, regardless of their level of sonographic expertise, emphasizes the need for them to manage clinical uncertainties as part of their daily practice."
This article emphasizes the crucial role of screening ultrasound, especially in acute abdomen cases. Its integration alongside conventional radiology significantly improves clinical orientation, facilitating prompt treatment decisions and specialist referrals.
In a specific case, we reviewed screening ultrasound images, basic abdominal X-rays, and Computed Tomography scans alongside clinical reports to assess initial evaluations made at a peripheral emergency service. Our patient presented with acute abdominal symptoms, revealing suspected liver metastases, intraperitoneal free fluid, and signs of intestinal obstruction on ultrasound. These findings were confirmed through Computed Tomography at a referral hospital, showing ultrasound's role in prompt patient triage and transfer. Operator skill is crucial, but comprehensive training minimizes errors.
Screening sonography may revolutionize patient safety saving time by detecting pathologies early, preventing overcrowding in emergency departments of reference hospitals.
The ultrasonographic detection of images suspected to be metastases is a common occurrence in hospital settings where various advanced diagnostic means, and medical specialties are present. However, the detection of suspicious images of metastases in a pre-hospital context is innovative and provides clinicians with a much better understanding of the patient's clinical landscape
The influence of layer height in the orthotropic elastic properties of PLA material obtained by additive processes
Get PDFPolylactic acid (PLA) is a biodegradable thermoplastic polyester used extensively in 3D printing, that can be obtained from renewable resources with low production costs and low carbon emissions. The extrusion temperature of PLA is lower, and its tensile strength and elastic modulus are higher than that of other common polymeric thermoplastic materials.
To assess the structural integrity of parts obtained by additive manufacturing, especially in more complex geometries, the finite element method is extensively used, being necessary, for this purpose, to characterize the constitutive model of the material. From the printer manufacturing parameters, one of the most affecting the elastic and strength properties is the layer height.
The layer-by-layer slicing sequence of additive manufacturing processes can introduce anisotropy into the materials, whereby, in most applications, materials obtained by these processes are considered orthotropic. The mechanical characterization of anisotropic materials through classical tests is not always the most suitable for this purpose, given the economic aspects, the time required, precision requirements and, sometimes, the technological difficulties of the tests. The ASTM E1876-21 standard presents a method for determining the dynamic elastic properties of materials by impulse excitation of vibration, at room temperature.

A consciência corporal no ensino do violino : estratégias para o pré-escolar

Ensino Supervisionada do Mestrado em Ensino de Música – Instrumento e Classe de
Conjunto – mencionando, por um lado, a prática de ensino supervisionada realizada ao
longo do ano letivo de 2021/2022 e, por outro lado, a unidade curricular de Projeto de
Ensino Artístico na qual foi desenvolvido um trabalho empírico.
Desta forma, o relatório encontra-se dividido em duas partes. A primeira refere-se
ao percurso da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada, realizada na Escola de Música Nossa
Senhora do Cabo, onde se contextualiza o meio escolar, a classe de instrumento, a
Classe de Conjunto e o desenvolvimento da prática, terminando com uma reflexão.
A segunda parte é dedicada à investigação e tem como base a consciência corporal
no ensino do violino a crianças do pré-escolar, onde se procura averiguar a pertinência
da aplicação de estratégias em prol de uma prática violinística consciente desde tenra
idade. O Projeto de Intervenção, aplicado a quatro alunos do pré-escolar do Colégio São
Francisco de Assis no último trimestre do ano letivo 2022/2023, teve como objetivo
geral desenvolver a consciência corporal dos alunos de violino. Procurou-se definir
estratégias adequadas à faixa etária em estudo, a serem desenvolvidas na sala de aula
com o acompanhamento do professor. Para o efeito, foram implementados exercícios
nas aulas individuais/pares, baseados nos conceitos da Técnica Alexander.
Foi realizada uma revisão literária sob o ponto de vista de diferentes estratégias de
consciência corporal, tais como: Técnica Alexander, Método Feldenkrais, Ioga, Pilates,
entre outras, onde se abordam aspetos técnicos e teóricos acerca da temática abordada.
Assim, foi realizada uma investigação-ação que visa analisar e comparar o efeito da
aplicação de estratégias nas aulas de violino.
Nesse sentido, recolheram-se dados de várias fontes, através da realização de
questionários aos alunos envolvidos e professores que lecionam violino no pré-escolar,
bem como grelhas de observação direta do desenvolvimento da aplicação de
estratégias no decorrer das aulas. De seguida, foram retiradas as conclusões da
investigação que parecem indicar que existem benefícios no desenvolvimento dos
alunos num ensino que inclua a prática de exercícios de consciência corporal.Abstract : This internship report focuses on the curricular unit of Supervised Teaching
Practice of the Master in Music Teaching – instrument and ensemble class –
mentioning, on the one hand, the supervised teaching practice carried out throughout
the academic year 2021/2022 and, on the other hand, the curricular unit of the Artistic
Teaching Project in which empirical work was developed.
The report is therefore divided into two parts. The first refers to the Supervised
Teaching Practice course, held at the Nossa Senhora do Cabo Music School, where the
school environment, the instrument class, the ensemble class, and the development of
practice are contextualized, ending with a reflection.
The second part is dedicated to research and is based on body awareness in violin
teaching to preschool children, where it seeks to verify the relevance of applying
strategies in favor of a conscious violin practice from an early age. The Intervention
Project, applied to four pre-school students at Colégio São Francisco de Assis in the last
quarter of the 2022/2023 school year, had the general objective of developing body
awareness in violin students. We sought to define strategies appropriate to the age
group under study, to be developed in the classroom with the teacher's supervision. To
this end, exercises were implemented in individual/pair classes, based on the concepts
of the Alexander Technique.
A literature review was carried out from the point of view of different body
awareness strategies, such as: Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais Method, Yoga, Pilates,
among others, where technical and theoretical topics are addressed on the topic
addressed. Therefore, an action investigation was carried out to analyze and compare
the effect of applying strategies in violin classes.
In this sense, data were collected from various sources, through questionnaires to
the students involved and teachers who teach violin in preschool, as well as Then, the conclusions of the research were drawn, which seem to indicate that there
are benefits in the development of students in a teaching that includes the practice of
body awareness exercises.

Mediation effects of basic psychological needs and motivation among coach leadership style on the subjective well-being of adapted sports athletes’ members of the special olympics

Subjective well-being has numerous indicators of global well-being, however, the most important are life satisfaction and attachments, which can be both positive and negative. The leadership of the coach is an integral part of the process that cares for the relationship of the athlete and coach, where the coach has a fundamental role on the athlete, and consequently on his subjective well-being.
Objective
The study has the purpose to analyse if and in what way the Basic Psychological Needs—relationship, autonomy and social relationship (mediator 1, M1) and the autonomous motivation (mediator 2, M2) mediate the relationship of the variables of democratic style (independent variable, X) with subjective well-being–life satisfaction and positive attachment (dependent variable, Y).
Methods
In this cross-sectional study, participated 94 athletes with Intellectual and Developmental Difficulty (IDD), aged between 11 and 63 years (ẋ = 32.6 ± SD = 13.8 years) of both genders. Statistical analysis was performed using multiple serial mediation models, using the macro PROCESS for SPSS, version 3 (model 6), using the bootstrap method with 10000 samples.
Results and Conclusions
There is a mediation effect between those of basic psychological needs and autonomous motivation, exercised between the democratic leadership profile of the coach and the subjective welfare of the athlete. On the other hand, autocratic style has a significant direct effect on the increase in basic psychological needs and controlled motivation. However, the democratic style is more consistent in this type of analysis. Our results reinforce the importance of promoting a democratic leadership style on the part of the coach in their athletes, enhancing a direct effect on life satisfaction and positive attachment in athletes adapted with IDD members of the Special Olympics.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Para tal, foi efetuada uma investigação de natureza qualitativa descritiva, em que foram realizadas entrevistas a cinco contrabaixistas com formações distintas e três entrevistas a alunos em diferentes níveis académicos, tendo como objetivo explorar como a criatividade tem sido trabalhada e como influenciou o seu percurso profissional.Abstract: The present work includes two distinct parts: the first focuses on the description of the Supervised Teaching Practice of individual classes and group music classes for students who attend the Music Conservatory - “Eborae Música”; the second part consists of the Research Project, whose focus is on the importance of creativity in the musician's training and the way the same influences the student's choice of path. O desenvolvimento de competências de reconhecimento tímbrico no artístico especializado da música

Está dividido em duas partes.
A primeira parte relata o estágio curricular realizado durante o ano letivo 2021/2022, no Conservatório de Música e Artes do Centro. O estágio decorreu em duas turmas, uma da disciplina de Formação Musical 1º grau, e outra de Classe de Conjunto Vocal de 2º ciclo. As informações relativas ao estágio, vão desde: a contextualização do meio em que se inserem os estabelecimentos de ensino, a caracterização do Conservatório de Música e Artes do Centro e do Centro de Estudos de Fátima, a caracterização das turmas com que se realizou o estágio, são ainda disponibilizadas planificações, reflexões, e uma reflexão final sobre a prática realizada durante o ano letivo.
Na segunda parte é apresentado um projeto de investigação, denominado de “O desenvolvimento de competências de reconhecimento tímbrico no artístico especializado da música”. Consiste numa investigação qualitativa descritiva, tendo como instrumentos de recolha de dados entrevistas realizadas a professores de Formação Musical do ensino básico. Com esses dados permitiu-se uma análise acerca da abordagem ao timbre por parte dos professores de Formação Musical a nível nacional. Fez-se também uma verificação de Programas de Formação Musical de todo o país, para aferir se as competências tímbricas de instrumentos estão comtempladas.Abstract: This internship report fits into the curricular unit of Supervised Teaching Practice, of the Master degree in Music Teaching - Music Training and Ensemble Music. It is divided into two parts.
The first part reports on the curricular internship carried out during the 2021/2022 academic year, at the Conservatório de Música e Artes do Centro. The internship took place in two classes, one in the 1st degree of Music Training class, and the other in the 2nd cycle Vocal Ensemble Class.
