No full textProjeto apresentado à Escola Superior de gestão de Idanha-a-Nova do Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco, para cumprimento dos requisitos necessários à obtenção do grau de Mestre em Gestão de Empresas.Este projeto tem por objetivo fundamental elaborar um estudo prévio conducente à elaboração de um plano de negócio da empresa B.M Services, no setor de apostas desportivas e jogos de azar ou fortuna na Guiné-Bissau. Para realizar este plano de negócios foram feitas várias pesquisas relacionadas com o contexto de apostas desportivas e jogos de azar ou fortuna nas suas diferentes vertentes, através de trabalhos científicos: dissertações, teses, artigos científicos, livros, sítios web de apostas e relatórios de organizações de regulação de jogos. A pesquisa focou-se primeiramente no enquadramento histórico das apostas desportivas e jogos de azar ou fortuna com propósito de compreender as origens e as relações existentes entre as apostas e jogos com seres humanos. De seguida orientou-se numa perspetiva de elaboração de um plano de negócio desde a caracterização da empresa, designação social da mesma, processo burocrático de criação de empresa na Guine*Bissau, localização da empresa, plano de marketing, a gestão de recursos humanos e os principais critérios para a criação da empresa no setor de apostas e jogos. Além destes elementos de análise de gestão foram também realizadas outras análises, como a matriz de serviços para auxiliar a compreensão do modelo de negócio. E um plano de investimento inicial de 94 096,36 €, onde constam todos os materiais necessários para o início da atividade, foram também apresentadas previsões de vendas de 683 827,20 €, de todos os serviços relativos ao primeiro ano e outras previsões totais de vendas para cinco anos, num valor de 870 461,76 €, um custo com pessoal de 74 685,00 € anuais e outros custos de 17 810,02 € anuais. Estes são elementos que vão permitir atingir os objetivos e metas definidas.Abstract: The main objective of this study is to draw up and develop a business plan in the gaming sector, with the perspective of creating a sports betting and gambling company in Guinea Bissau. To accomplish this business plan, several research studies related to the context of games and bets in various aspects were carried out through scientific works such as dissertations, scientific papers, books, betting, and gaming websites, and reports from regulatory organizations of games. Therefore, the research focused primarily on the historical framework of sports betting and gambling, with the purpose of better understanding the origins and relationships between betting and gaming with human beings. It then focused on an economic perspective, to present the main structures that make up the company, the characterization of the company, human resources management, the management system, the main criteria for creating a company in the betting and gaming sector, as well as the mechanisms and means of elaboration to support its activities. In addition to these management analysis elements, other analyses were also carried out, such as the services matrix, to assist in understanding the business model. And an initial investment plan of a value of € 94,096.36, which contains all the materials necessary to start the activity and it was also presented a forecast of sale of € 683 827.20 per year, of our services and total forecast of sale for the five years in an amount of € 870 461.76 , a personnel cost of € 74,685.00 per year and another cost of € 17,810.02 per year, allowing for the adjustment of defined goals and objectives

Relationship between landscape pattern and human disturbance in Serbia from 2000 to 2018
Get PDFThis study intends to verify how the alteration of the landscape configuration, represented by different metrics of configuration and diversity, is related to the intensity of human disturbance. The objectives of the study are: (1) to quantify the change in land use/land cover (LULC) patterns and the degree of human disturbance in Serbia between 2000 and 2018, and (2) to study the relationship between LULC configuration and the impact resulting from human disturbance under different levels of intensity, to understand how changing trends in landscape pattern can serve as indicators to estimate landscape changes resulting from human actions. The Hemeroby Index (HI) was calculated to quantify the impacts on ecosystems resulting from disturbance caused by human actions. Based on the analysis of the variation in the value corresponding to the HI for the period between 2000 and 2018, the level of naturalness increased by only 5% of the territory of Serbia, with this change being verified mainly in SE Serbia. The landscape pattern was quantified using a set of LULC metrics. We used the Spearman method to identify the existing statistical correlations between the geometric parameters of the landscape and the HIs values. At the landscape level, the Mean Shape Index, Edge Density, Mean Patch Fractal Dimension, and Shannon Diversity Index show a strong negative correlation with HI. This correlation suggests that landscapes with greater structural complexity are good indicators of low levels of hemeroby. Genetic polymorphisms of P2RX7 but not of ADORA2A are associated with the severity of SARS-CoV-2 infection

while adenosine A2A receptors (A2ARs) are anti-inflammatory, ATP P2X7 receptors (P2X7Rs) exert
pro-inflammatory effects. The aim of this study was to assess if there were differences in allelic and
genotypic frequencies of a loss-of-function SNP of ADORA2A (rs2298383) and a gain-of-function
single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of P2RX7 (rs208294) in the severity of SARS-CoV-2-associated
infection. Fifty-five individuals were enrolled and categorized according to the severity of the
infection. Endpoint genotyping was performed in blood cells to screen for both SNPs. The TT
genotype (vs. CT + CC) and the T allele (vs. C allele) of P2RX7 SNP were found to be associated with
more severe forms of COVID-19, whereas the association between ADORA2A SNP and the severity of
infection was not significantly different. The T allele of P2RX7 SNP was more frequent in people with
more than one comorbidity and with cardiovascular conditions and was associated with colorectal
cancer. Our findings suggest a more prominent role of P2X7R rather than of A2AR polymorphisms in
SARS-CoV-2 infection, although larger population-based studies should be performed to validate

Nelson Valente, destacando seu papel crucial na consolidação dos conhecimentos obtidos ao longo do percurso académico.
Este estágio proporcionou não apenas crescimento profissional, mas também enfrentou desafios como prazos curtos e uma equipa reduzida, contribuindo para uma aprendizagem significativa.
Durante os seis meses de estágio, o foco esteve nos projetos de arquitetura, com uma participação superficial num projeto de design de interiores. Este relatório destaca quatro projetos, cada um com licenciamentos distintos, abrangendo alterações e ampliações, construção de uma moradia e legalização de uma cobertura num edifício coletivo.
É digno de nota que diversos conhecimentos foram desenvolvidos e aprimorados durante este período, incluindo o domínio de programas como AutoCad, SketchUp e Lumion, entendimento sobre a composição e organização de projetos para submissão à Câmara Municipal, bem como conceitos e definições arquitetónicos, entre outros.
O estágio curricular teve como principal objetivo a aplicação prática dos conhecimentos adquiridos durante a licenciatura e mestrado, visando obter experiência profissional e competências essenciais como designer. Todas as tarefas realizadas ao longo dos seis meses foram ferramentas cruciais para um crescimento profissional e pessoal próspero.
A realização deste estágio tem como meta principal a conclusão do Mestrado em Design de Interiores e Mobiliário, buscando aplicar os conhecimentos adquiridos durante o percurso académico e integrá-los, num contexto profissional estável futuro próximo, com a sabedoria e experiência conquistadas no estágio, num contexto profissional estável, abrangendo não apenas a área de design de interiores, mas, também, a do design de equipamento.Abstract: This curricular internship report, within the scope of the master's degree in interior and Furniture Design, explores the experience lived in the office of Architect Nelson Valente, highlighting its crucial role in consolidating the knowledge obtained throughout the academic career.
This internship not only provided professional growth, but also faced challenges such as short deadlines and a small team, contributing to significant learning.
During the six months of internship, the focus was on architectural projects, with a superficial participation in an interior design project. This report highlights four projects at the office, each with different licensing, covering alterations and expansions, construction of a house and legalization of a penthouse in a collective building.
It is worth noting that diverse knowledge was developed and improved during this period, including mastery of programs such as AutoCad, SketchUp and Lumion, understanding the composition and organization of projects for submission to the City Council, as well as architectural concepts and definitions, among others.f
The main objective of the internship was the practical application of the knowledge acquired during the bachelor's and master's degree, aiming to obtain professional experience and essential skills as a designer. All tasks carried out over the six months were crucial tools for successful professional and personal growth.
The main goal of carrying out this internship is to complete the Master's Degree in Interior and Furniture Design, seeking to apply the knowledge acquired during the academic career and integrate them, in a stable professional context in the near future, with the wisdom and experience gained during the internship, in a stable professional context, covering not only the area of interior design, but also equipment design.

No full textThe study begins with the observation of an increase in sensory and perceptual disor-ders related to the loss, temporary reduction, or alteration of the sense of smell in recent years, following pandemic events and climate changes. These conditions have significant implications both for individuals' dietary habits and their overall health.The contribute aims to provide, through the development of a therapeutic tool, a training kit for olfactory rehabilitation in individu-als who have experienced the alteration or gradual loss of olfactory receptors due to certain neurodegenerative pathologies.The first part of the paper analyzes the evolu-tion of design approaches aimed at defining products, tools, and services that incorporate multisensory experiences into the design, en-hancing the interaction between food and consumers in the context of changing sensory perceptions.The second part, through the selection of rel-evant case studies, describes the experiments conducted by designers, artists, and research-ers on the theme of olfactory perception, ad-dressing three levels: cognitive and narrative, functional and aesthetic, and communicative.In the final part, the paper describes the design experience of the "80/20 Olfactory Training Kit," a set of tools for olfactory re-covery and rehabilitation. The kit aims to raise users' awareness of aroma perception. The tool, composed of six aroma compounds, aims to train memory and restore a correct perception of smell and taste through a train-ing experience and a system of verification and visualisation of the progress achieved.The goal is to highlight how the design of multisensory and synesthetic experiences not only enhances tasting modalities but also has a positive impact on individuals' health and the environment.Resumo: O estudo parte da observação de um aumento nos últimos anos, em decorrência de eventos pandêmicos e mudanças climáticas, de distúrbios sensoriais e perceptivos ligados à perda, à diminuição temporária ou à alteração do olfato. Essas patologias têm diversas repercussões tanto na alimentação quanto na saúde dos indivíduos.O objetivo é oferecer, por meio da definição de uma ferramenta terapêutica, um kit de treinamento para reabilitação do olfato em sujeitos que, devido a algumas patologias neurodegenerativas, sofreram alteração ou perda gradual dos receptores olfativos.A primeira parte do artigo analisa a evolução das abordagens de design orientadas para a definição de produtos, ferramentas e serviços que incorporam experiências multisensoriais e novas formas de degustação de alimentos, potencializando a interação entre alimento e consumidor.A segunda parte descreve, por meio da seleção de casos de estudo relevantes, as experimentações de designers, artistas e pesquisadores sobre o tema da percepção olfativa, segundo três níveis: cognitivo e narrativo, funcional e estético, e comunicativo. Na última parte, o artigo relata a experiência de design do "80/20 Olfactory Training Kit", um conjunto de ferramentas para a recuperação e reabilitação do olfato, voltado para transmitir ao usuário uma consciência na percepção dos aromas. Explorando o complexo de papéis compositor-intérprete-professor para promover a criatividade na educação musical
No full textThis article considers the interaction system between musical composition, performance, and pedagogy. The main purpose is to bring attention to this issue for Ukrainian musical and pedagogical communities and comprehend the triune role complex's significance. The study employed a multifaceted methodology incorporating historical analysis of sources, observation of musical activity, comparison of compositional/performative approaches, and structural modelling to elucidate the interconnected "composer-performer-teacher" triad in music. It was determined composition, performance, and music education interact between domains of music, pedagogy, teachers and students, and creative/educational staff contacts against the backdrop of global and Ukrainian culture. Updating and expanding modern curricula by applying “composer-performer-teacher” trinity principles enhances professional musician interactions with audiences and students. This creates conditions to train top-level musical personnel and build awareness of each component's equal importance in this triad. Bringing attention to this issue can increase engagement from Ukrainian music/pedagogy communities. Applying the trinity model creates opportunities to revamp educational approaches. It also highlights the multifaceted nature of musical pursuit spanning creation, interpretation, and instructionEste artigo analisa o sistema de interação entre a composição musical, a execução e a pedagogia. O estudo utilizou uma metodologia multifacetada que incorpora a análise histórica de fontes, a observação da atividade musical, a comparação de abordagens composicionais/performativas e a modelação estrutural para elucidar a tríade interligada "compositor-performer-professor" na música. Determinou-se que a composição, a execução e a educação musical interagem entre os domínios da música, da pedagogia, dos professores e dos alunos e dos contactos entre o pessoal criativo e educativo, tendo como pano de fundo a cultura global e ucraniana. A atualização e expansão dos currículos modernos através da aplicação dos princípios da trindade "compositor-intérprete--professor" melhora as interacções dos músicos profissionais com o público e os estudantes. Isto cria condições para formar pessoal musical de alto nível e sensibilizar para a igual importância de cada componente desta tríade. Chamar a atenção para esta questão pode aumentar o envolvimento das comunidades ucranianas de música/pedagogia. A aplicação do modelo da trindade cria oportunidades para renovar as abordagens educativas. Este projeto visa o desenvolvimento de uma comunicação integrada no setor vinícola, para uma marca de vinhos da Beira Interior que apresente a Denominação de Origem Controlada. Tem o intuito de demonstrar a importância da aplicação do design gráfico neste tipo de empresa e setor ao mesmo tempo que, esta intervenção possibilitará a visibilidade dos vinhos desta Região de uma forma diferenciadora de modo a alcançar novos públicos-alvo, passando por uma fase de uma análise e recolha prévia de conhecimentos teórico-práticos fundamentais para a realização da mesma e para a aplicação dos objetivos propostos.Abstract:

This project aims to develop integrated communication in the wine sector for a Beira Interior wine brand with the Controlled Designation of Origin. Its aim is to demonstrate the importance of applying graphic design to this type of company and sector, while at the same time making it possible to raise the profile of this region's wines in a distinctive way in order to reach new target audiences. The project will go through a phase of analysis and prior collection of theoretical and practical knowledge that will be fundamental to its realisation and to the application of the proposed objectives
