Fraction of spectral solar radiance transmitted through snow and sea ice as measured in different depths under sea ice (transflectance) at station PS122/4_44-191 on 2020-06-27, survey 3, version 2.0

Transmitted solar radiance was measured using an ARC (Advanced-Radiance-Collector) RAMSES hyper-spectral radiometer (TriOS) mounted on the ROV during the MOSAiC expedition between November 2019 and September 2020 and normalized by the incident solar irradiance as measured using an ACC (Advanced-Cosine-Collector) RAMSES hyper-spectral radiometer (TriOS) installed on the sea ice. All times are given in Universal Coordinated Time (UTC)

The meteorological observatory Neumayer continuously operates a vertically looking single column 24 GHz meteorological Doppler radar (METEK MRR-PRO) to monitor hydrometeors. The instrument essentially records radar reflectivity and Doppler velocity in 128 vertical range gates. The vertical resolution is set to 50m, hence the maximal altitude is 6400m; the temporal resolution is typically 1 second. The instrument was initially installed in January 2019 and is mounted on the roof of the Neumayer Station III. Since the station altitude changes slightly over time the instrument height above sea level can change over time too. This is documented in the netCDF variable "range:meters_to_center_of_first_gate", initially 65m. Since installation an interfering signal which could not be readily identified and removed disturbs the measurements in range gates 7 to 10, i.e. 370m to 520m. The disturbance can easily be identified and filtered for analysis of the data. This dataset contains the full raw data from the instrument. All data published here is left "as recorded", no quality control was applied. Still, some concatenation and temporal re-sorting was sporadically applied to homogenise the temporal file granularity. Any such operations are documented in the netCDF global attribute "history" of the respective files

Beach profile data for the Elwha River Delta, 2019-11-26

Shoreline topography data were collected using GNSS survey methods, with a differential GPS, typically an AshTech ProMark 200 RTK-DGPS system connected to the Washington State Reference Network, operating in Real Time Kinematic (RTK) mode. Survey data are referenced in the horizontal reference frame to NAD83(2011). Elevations, in meters, are referenced to NAVD88(Geoid09) for all survey data collected before December 2012, NAVD88(Geoid12) for all survey data collected between December 2012 and May 2020, and NAVD88(Geoid18) for all survey data collected subsequently. No conversions were applied to these data to account for variations in horizontal or vertical coordinate system adjustments through time, but an error analysis suggests a standard deviation for the elevations of between 0.03 and 0.05 m across the entire sampling period (2011-2024). All survey data were collected with the GNSS system mounted on a 2.05 m rover pole, held level by a surveyor as a transect line was traced in a cross-shore orientation on the beach. The associated text files include the horizontal (HRMS) and vertical (VRMS) root-mean-square errors estimated by the GNSS system, as well as the RTK-DGPS status reported by the GNSS system at the time each point was collected. Times are referenced to local Pacific time (either PST or PDT)
