This essay is an adaptation analysis of the novel Kärlekens Antarktis and its theatre adaptation Svindel. Both are written by the author and playwright Sara Stridsberg. The study’s purpose is to examine how the different media tell the same story and what happens to its themes and message in the transformation. This is done through a comparative reading of the novel and the play script, as well as a performance analysis of the staged play. This paper focuses on how the environment and the two characters Jägaren and Kristina are portrayed/dramatized in each work. The result of the analysis shows that the themes and message are the same in the novel and the play, but with variations in how they are conveyed. Some signs transcend from the novel to the play while some are expressed in a different way. Although the message is the same in the novel and the play, the analysis shows that the story’s main message about how the dead woman’s story needs to be told is relatively more emphasized in the staged play performance

The changes made to comic book story arcs for television adaptations : Analysis of the difference in comics and the television series’ based on them
This study compares the animated television series which started in 2003 titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to the source material, the comic book series also titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles which started in 1984. This study is based on a collection of major story arcs which the comic book series and the television series have in common for the purpose of being as extensive as possible. The purpose of this study is to understand how the changes made in the adaptation process changes the nature of the story arcs and to understand why some of the changes were made. This has been accomplished by building on the theories of remediation, thematic transformation, fidelity, story structure and mass appeal. The methods used were comparative analysis, story analysis and thematic analysis. The concluding statements are that the changes were primarily made for the purpose of appealing to a younger audience, improve the structure of the story arcs and to accommodate for time constraints
My principal has worked in school-age educare centre, has yours? : A study on the conditions of teachers in school-age educare and how these may be affected by the principal's experiences.
The Undead Queer : A queerstudy between Carmilla (1872) and Interview with the Vampire (1976)
In this essay, the works Interview with the Vampire (1976) by Anne Rice and Carmilla (1872) by Sheridan Le Fanu will be placed together and compared via close reading, and discussed alongside queer theory. The focus is to find similarities and contrast between these two vampiric tales as well as discuss how the queer element is shown. The main questions with this text will be; How is the queerness portrayed in the texts and what is the difference between them? There will also be a discussion about male versus female homosexuality and how this is portrayed in the texts. The point of this study is to show how similar grounds can culminate into different outcomes with the vampiric origin accounted for. The result showed a clear difference between the two texts, but also some similarities. The vampire stays queer in both
The hungry rage : Female rage and women who murder men
In this thesis I analyzed three different literary works; A Certain Hunger by Chelsea G. Summers (2020), Bunny by Mona Awad (2019), and Dirty Weekend by Helen Zahavi (1991) through the perspective of the female killer. The aim of the thesis was to analyze the so called “female rage” and what led the women in these novels to murder men. I also discussed how the female killers were presented and if and how the women were perceived as monstrous. The method I chose to do this was close reading, and the theory I used was queer theory. I mostly used Jack Halberstam’s book Skin Shows: Gothic Horror and the Technology of Monsters to contextualize my arguments as well as Judith Butler’s Genustrubbel and Sam Holmqvist’s chapter in Litteraturvetenskap II. The analysis showed that there is a connection between the monster and queerness, and that each of the women I wrote about has both monstrous and queer aspects. The analysis also showed the importance of power and how most of the motivation behind the women killing the men was their lack of power in a patriarchal society
Exploring the dynamics of innovation : Patterns of growth and contraction in the local food industry
PURPOSE: The purpose of this study is shed light on the underlying forces behind entrepreneurship within a regional innovation system (RIS) in a remote rural region. The authors examine the following questions: Which are the main underlying forces behind the entrepreneurial process in a rural RIS characterized by traditionally low-tech, small-scale businesses? How can the development of a low-tech regional innovation system be conceptualized? DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/APPROACH The design of the study is based on entrepreneurship theory. Data analysis followed practices used in phenomenography, a research approach used to analyse and identify commonalities and variations in populations' perceptions of a certain phenomenon. Data are composed using semi-structured interviews and a database composed of company information of all firms in the population. FINDINGS A proactive mobilization of regional stakeholders and resources can be an important driving force behind the entrepreneurial process and generation of a rural RIS. Innovation can be generated within low-tech industries turning the rural context into an asset. An RIS in a remote rural context can be initiated and orchestrated by regional authorities, but knowledge brokering and orchestration can also be managed by networks of small-scale businesses brought together by mutual benefit and common interests. RESEARCH LIMITATIONS/IMPLICATIONS Regional innovation systems theory is most often used to study high-tech industries. But by combining regional innovation systems with rural entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship context theory is a fruitful avenue to understand the role of rural entrepreneurship in regional development, even in remote and peripheral regions. Innovation does not need to entail high-tech international environments; it can appear as the result of efforts in low-tech industries in rural and remote environments. The authors’ findings need to be scrutinized; therefore, the authors call for more research on regional innovation systems in rural environments. PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS It is possible for regional authorities to orchestrate a development process through the actions of a strong regional agent but also by supporting the creation of networks of small businesses that are built on trust and common interests. ORIGINALITY/VALUE This study contributes to the literature with a new perspective to the study of entrepreneurship and of regional innovation systems. Entrepreneurship research with focus on rural contexts most often highlight limits to entrepreneurship and see entrepreneurship as “just running a business”. A perspective that starts from innovation and innovative behaviour, despite the rural context and embedded resources, helps to generate new knowledge that can enrich the understanding of entrepreneurship and also be the foundation for more precise business development policies in rural settings.Advancing sustainable regional development: Opportunities for the creative industries through food, culture and tourismEnhancing Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas through Local Food Syste
