Voyria
No full textVoyria är en växt som lever på parasiter från svampar istället för fotosyntes. Växten ingår i familjen gentianaväxter och lever i flera år. Med inspiration från Voyrias symbiotiska relation till svampar har jag skapat ett examensarbete namngivet efter växten. Voyria är berättelsen om kreativitet, konstnärskap och reflektion. Minnen från förr kombineras med en undersökning av svampars utveckling och urskogens symbiotiska relationer. Examensarbetet har resulterat i en publikation, en film och musik. Genom att lyssna på svampars biodata och studera en svamps livscykel har jag tolkat datan i ett försök att kommunicera med svampen. Voyria är ett examensarbete som behandlar både analoga och digitala metoder, musik och målande, text och grafisk formgivning. Jag tänker utifrån svampens livscykel. Jag reflekterar över årens upplevelser och sambandet mellan årens och svampens faser. Jag visualiserar nätverk och system. Jag fotograferar och tolkar realdatan för att försöka förstå svampens behov. Translating the wilderness
No full textI weave figurative tapestries, working with themes regarding our relationship to the wild, both in nature and ourselves. I dye my yarns with mushrooms and plants I pick in the forest. I go through this trouble because I want the material to carry a story within itself, I see it as giving it life. This method makes the work divided in three main steps: the foraging, the dyeing, and the weaving.

No full textMaija is a graphic novel about identity, family, the tumultuous and often forgotten history of the Baltic region and, ultimately, how I have sought to create a relationship to a place from which I feel so disconnected. Using drawing as a means to bring myself closer to a lost family, as an act to record the past and also as a tool to create a possible future. Using my own hand, I am circling the past to bring it to a connecting point with my own present.

No full textOnce upon a time there was a beautiful cinema in Stockholm called Draken. This story is about her, a lost public space that once boasted many qualities and expectations. Sadly, today, she is nothing more than a large storage facility where Stockholm residents can rent a few extra square meters. The awakening of Draken highlights the importance of adapting to changing behaviors in the context of cinemas and screen watching, to update the cinema room and to revive these public spaces for future use. The proposal focuses on contemporary behaviors of interacting with moving images, such as watching movies, dancing, sing-alongs and gaming, among others. By creating a narrative around it, and a spatial dramaturgy in the interior, I aim to tell an alternative story where Draken in the future is transformed into an atmospheric and thriving place for social interaction and screen viewin
Into the blues : Exploring color through a new cultural scene in Lövholmen
No full textI have embarked on a journey (that will never end) to explore color. Inspired by Maggie Nelson’s blunt and anecdotal ways of writing about the color blue (2017), I have searched for more aspects of color than I intuitively knew before. What do I want with color? How much color is needed to make an effect? How do you combine theory with intuition? What approaches are there when working with color, and which to choose? What sort of knowledge is color and how do we create qualitative discussions about and with it? Will I ever be satisfied? The questions are asked in the context of renewing the interior of building 21, Smedjan or Smälten in Lövholmen. Its name Smälten comes from its industrial history as a smelter, producing resin in paint and varnishing products for Wilhems Beckers between 1944-1973. While Lövholmen is facing a lot of changes, the area has plenty of housing plans but fewer plans for cultural needs or activities. The city of Stockholm released a report in 2019 stating that we lack modern contemporary dance stages. Since Smälten is situated just next to Färgfabriken I think it well suited to serve as an extended cultural meeting point, providing a new platform for artistic expression and social interaction. A space to be shared for cultural activities that hold an audience, such as lectures, performances, art gatherings, film screenings or a contemporary dance stage. To increase students´ understanding of materials in textile handicraft
No full textSyftet med studien är att öka elevers materialförståelse för olika textilier och förbättra deras förmåga att fatta självständiga samt välgrundade beslut utifrån det de vill skapa. Följande frågeställningar utgår undersökningen ifrån: Vad är grundläggande materialkännedom i textilslöjd för grundskoleelever?Hur kan slöjdlärare öka elevers materialförståelse i textilslöjd? Utgångspunkten för studien har sin grund i en övningsuppgift inom materialkännedom som jag genomförde med åk 9 i textilslöjd under VFU. Metoden i denna undersökning påminner om en learning study med ett planerat undervisningsinnehåll som inbjuder deltagarna attt aktilt utforska olika textilier utifrån ett body-mindperspektiv. Avslutningsvis genomförs en kunskapskontroll med frågesportspelet Kahoot1 för att ta reda på vad deltagarna tagit med sig. Till den första frågeställningen har jag sammanställt frågeformulär från två slöjdlärare och till andra frågeställningen har resultatet i Kahoot analyserats utifrån två analyskriterier som beskriver svårighetsgrad och kunskapsutveckling.De allra flesta textilslöjdslärare arbetar inte med materiallära som ett eget ämne utan tar upp det när de upplever det passande. Materiallära behöver dock inte endast presenteras som något teoretiskt där eleverna blir passiva lyssnare till olika textila termer. Genom att som lärare ha en systematik och konsekvent lyfta in materialläran kan det bidra till en ökad medvetenhet hos eleverna, särskilt i en tid när miljö- och hållbarhetsfrågor är mycket aktuella
