No full textMitt examensarbete i inredningsarkitektur och möbeldesign är ett samarbete med organisationen Better Shelter, som erbjuder tillfälliga bostäder till människor i nöd- och krissituationer världen över. Den rumsliga kontexten för projektet är boendets 17,5 kvm. Genom att identifiera interiöra behov i rummet angriper projektet avsaknaden av förvaring. Intentionen är att underlätta för de boende, med struktur och ordning i sina tillfälliga bostäder, skapa trygghet och ett ökat välmående hos individen som brukar dessa 17,5 kvm. Med hänsyn till bostadens befintliga material, yta och komponenter undersöks design som möjliggör delaktighet och uppmuntrar individerna att självständigt skapa personliga och funktionella hem. Den rumsliga kontexten är inte geografiskt platsspecifik, men i projektet appliceras gestaltningen på nordvästra Syrien för att påvisa det potentiella sambandetmed lokala och tillgängliga resurser.My degree project in interior architecture and furniture design is a collaboration with the organization Better Shelter, which offers temporary housing to people in emergency and crisis situations worldwide. The spatial context for the project is the accommodation's 17.5 square meters. By identifying interior needs in the room, the project attacks the lack of storage. The intention is to make it easier for the residents, with structure and order in their temporary housing, to create security and an increased well-being for the individual who uses these 17.5 square meters. Taking into account the existing materials, surface and components of the home, designs are investigated that enable participation and encourage individuals to independently create personal and functional homes. The spatial context is not geographically site-specific, but in the project the design is applied to northwestern Syria to demonstrate the potential connectionwith local and available resources
Home is where her horror is : a call for knowledge about domestic violence in the field of architecture and in society
No full textDen farligaste platsen för en kvinna är hennes egna hem. Fler än 50 misshandelsfall gentemot kvinnor i hemmet om dagen anmäls i Sverige och i snitt dödar en man i Sverige en kvinna han har eller har haft en relation med var tredje vecka. Ett samhälleligt och medmänskligt engagemang kan vara skillnad mellan liv och död. Det är dags att rikta fokus och ansvar mot mannen, dig, mig och samhället. Arkitekter och Inredningsarkitekter har länge haft kunskap om hur trygga offentliga rum i utomhusmiljöer kan och bör utformas. Men faktum är att endast 15% av alla anmälda våldtäkter begås i utomhusmiljöer, sk. överfallsvåldtäkter. Resterande 85% sker i det egna hemmet av en närstående. Fältet Arkitektur och Inredningsarkitektur bör ha kunskap om våld i hemmiljö och ta detta i beaktning i sin praktik. “Home is where her horror is” utgår från det faktum att den farligaste platsen för en kvinna är hennes egna hem, detta utforskas och gestaltas vidare i tre påståenden och linjer: -Linje 1: Fältet Arkitektur, Inredningsarkitektur och formgivning behöver kunskap om våld i nära relation och ta detta i beaktning i sin praktik. -Linje 2: I samarbete med material från organisationen “Huskurage” formge och skapa en mobil informationsplats i ett flerbostadshus för att främja samtal och spontana möten grannar emellan, medvetandegöra kring våld i nära relation samt införa Huskurage. -Linje 3: Gestalta den våldsutsatta kvinnans dimension av hemmet i skala 1:1 under Konstfacks vårutställning 2023. För att metvetandegöra och informera besökaren genom konst, rumslig gestaltning, formgivning, film och performance med ambition om att framkalla reaktion som leder till aktion.The most dangerous place for a woman is her own home. More than 50 cases of abuse against women a day are reported in Sweden, and on average a man in Sweden kills a woman he has or has had a relationship with every three weeks. A social and human commitment can be the difference between life and death. It is time to direct focus and responsibility towards the men, you, me and society. Architects and interior architects have long had knowledge of how to design safe public spaces in outdoor environments. But the fact is that only 15% of all reported rapes are committed in outdoor environments. The remaining 85% is done in her own home by a person she has a relationship with or a relative. The field of Architecture and Interior Design should have knowledge of domestic violence and take this into account in their practice. "Home is where her horror is" is based on the fact that the most dangerous place for a woman is her own home, this is further explored and shaped in three statements: -Line 1: The field of Architecture, Interior Architecture and design needs knowledge of domestic violence and take this into account in their practice. -Line 2: In collaboration with material from the organisation "Huskurage", design and create a mobile information site in an apartment building to promote conversations and spontaneous meetings between neighbours, raise awareness about domestic violence and introduce Huskurage. -Line 3: Shape a home from the abused woman's perspective on a 1:1 scale during Konstfack's spring exhibition 2023. To raise awareness and inform the visitor through art, spatial design, design, film and performance with the ambition of evoking reaction that leads to action

No full textSyftet med undersökningen är att synliggöra på vilka sätt det sensoriska kunnandet kommer till uttryck när elever gemensamt utforskar och samtalar om material inom ämnet slöjd. Undersökningen består av två delar. För det första en materialnära undersökande del bestående av produktion av tygpåsar med olika fyllningar samt, för det andra, planering och genomförande av en workshop med sex elever i mellanstadiet. Workshopen består av olika moment där eleverna får samspela och samtala om tygpåsarnas innehåll och hur de relaterar till varandra. Studiens frågeställningar – Hur kan undervisningen utformas så att elever får möjlighet att samtala om sina tankar om sinnesupplevelser i relation till material, samt vad innebär det att kunna kommunicera om material i en undervisningssituation? – besvaras genom analys av workshopen med stöd av fotografiska bilder, ljudupptagningar av elevernas erfarenheter och fältanteckningar. Sammanfattningsvis belyser denna undersökning att det är i gemensamt utforskande och i samspel som kunskaper befäst hos deltagarna, samt att i interaktion med material stärks diskussionen om materialet och dess egenskaper
Är Vi Okej? / All About Them
No full textÄr vi okej?/All about them is a coming out-story about a 30 year old Ella/Ellan, who moves back to Sweden after a few years abroad to deal witha life-crisis - and to come out as non- binary. We follow Ella/Ellan during one tumultuous year as they explore and discover their identity and see how life and relationships change along the way. All about them is my master’s projectin Visual communication at Konstfack, 2023. My intention with this projectis to share my personal experience of coming out as a non-binary transperson. I wanted to visualise the difficulties with adapting to society’s narrow and limited identity-categories. My wish is that this novel will contribute with knowledge and understanding for the trans-experience, and also offer identification for anyone who struggles with questions about their place in this world

No full textThis text is about the phenomenon of ornaments and colour, how I relate to them and how this relationship has developed through time. I contextualise these two subjects by taking a few examples on how they have been discussed and perceived throughout history. I find these subjects interesting because I have experienced a difficulty to include these two expressions in my practice before, although I have wanted to. In this research, I came to realise, I am just a result of my own environment. An environment embossed by ideas that ornaments are unnecessary and colours are out of fashion. I also describe how I, in my practice make ornaments in porcelain and aim for a spatial and spiritual expression, resulting in a setting reminiscent of a temple, which also is where the ornaments have their origin
