Idrottsanläggningssituationen i Karlstad kommun : En enkätstudie om idrottsföreningars uppfattning av idrottsanläggningarna
No full textSyftet med denna kvantitativa enkätstudie var att undersöka anläggningssituationen i Karlstad kommun samt jämföra inomhusidrotter, utomhusidrotter samt kombinerade idrotters uppfattningar i denna fråga. Studien har utgått från följande frågeställning: ● Vilka uppfattningar har Karlstad kommuns idrottsföreningar om deras respektive anläggningar? ● Vilka skillnader i dessa uppfattningar gällande anläggningssituationen finns mellan inomhusidrotter, utomhusidrotter samt kombinerade idrotter? En enkät utformades av oss skribenter och skickades sedan ut till 300st idrottsföreningar genom RF-SISU Värmland för att undersöka respektive förenings uppfattningar om anläggningssituationen. Det var 30st idrottsföreningar som deltog i studien. Ett program vid namn SPSS samt en analysmatris har använts för att analysera datainsamlingen. Resultatet presenterades sedan utifrån studiens frågeställning kopplat till enkätens teman vilka var följande: tillgång, utförande och funktion, tillgänglighet och renovering samt övrigt. Resultatet i denna studie visar på att idrottsföreningarna i Karlstad kommun har olika upplevelser av anläggningssituationen. Dessa är kopplade till främst tillgång, utförande och funktion, tillgänglighet och renovering samt ekonomi. I jämförelsen av de verksamheter som bedrivs inne/ ute eller både och kan man se skillnader. Inomhusidrotterna rapporterar att de har en generellt bättre tillgång till dialog med kommunen samt tillgång till anläggning än vad utomhusidrotterna eller de kombinerade idrotterna har. Däremot ser inomhusidrotterna ett behov av förbättringar vad gäller infrastruktur, funktion, samt geografisk tillgänglighet. Återkommande bland inomhusidrotterna är en avsaknad av HCP-anpassning. Utomhusidrotterna uttrycker mer behov riktade mot underhåll, bättre underlag och belysning. De kombinerade idrotterna framstår som den mest utsatta gruppen. De beskriver den ekonomiska situationen som det största hindret. Man kan sammanfatta resultatet genom att belysa hur föreningarna i Karlstad kommun önskar en ökad kommunal dialog, bättre anpassade anläggningar för att kunna bedriva inkluderande idrott samt en bättre spridning av investeringar över kommunen.The purpose of this quantitative survey study was to investigate the sports facility situation in Karlstad municipality and to compare the perspectives of indoor sports, outdoor sports and combined sports. The study was guides by the following research questions: ● What are the perceptions of sports clubs in Karlstad municipality regarding their respective sports facilities? ● What differences in these perceptions exist between clubs focused on indoor sports, outdoor sports and mixed sports? A survey was distributed to 300 sports clubs via RF-SISU Värmland in order to explore their views on the current facility situation. A total of 30 clubs participated in the study. The data collection was analyzed using a software program called SPSS and an analysis matrix. The results are presented based on the study’s research questions and organized into the following themes derived from the survey: access, design and function, accessibility and renovation and additional views.The results indicate that sports clubs in Karlstad municipality have varied experiences and perceptions regarding their access to and the condition of sports facilities. These differences primarily concern access, design and function, accessibility and renovation needs, as well as financial considerations. Indoor sports reports generally better access to dialogue with the municipality and to facilities compared to outdoor sports or combined sports. However, indoor sports see a need for improvements in infrastructure, functionality, and geographical accessibility. A recurring issue among indoor sports is the lack of accessibility adaptions for people with disabilities (HCP). Outdoor sports express more needs related to maintenance, better surfaces, and lightning. Combined sports appear to be the most vulnerable group. They describe the financial situation as the greatest obstacle. In summary, the findings highlight that sports clubs in Karlstad municipality desire improved communication with local authorities, better-adapted facilities to enable inclusive sports participation, and a more equitable distribution of investments across the municipality.

No full textSyftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka hur enhetschefer på särskilda boenden inom kommunal verksamhet upplever sitt uppdrag, vidare var syftet att undersöka hur enhetscheferna ser på chefs- och ledarskap samt hur chefsrollen påverkar medarbetarna. Kvalitativa intervjuer genomfördes med åtta enhetschefer inom särskilt boende i kommunal verksamhet för att samla in empiri. För att analysera empirin genomfördes en tematisk analys. Resultatet tolkades genom ledarskapet, chefskap samt systemteori. Studiens resultat visade att enhetscheferna upplevde sin roll som komplex men rolig. Chefskapets delar beskrevs med ord som ansvar och makt, samtidigt som ledarskapet beskrevs med ord som tillit och motiverande. Vidare visade resultatet att ledarskapet upplevs vara en av den största delen i sitt uppdrag, där fokus ligger på att få med sig medarbetarna. Studiens slutsats var att yrkesrollen är komplex och mångfacetterad med mycket ansvar. Vidare slutsats var att enhetschefens roll kan påverka medarbetarnas välbefinnande i hög utsträckning.The purpose of the study was to examine how unit managers on home for assistant living in municipal functions experience their duty, further the purpose was to examine how the unit managers view manager- and leadership together with how the management position affects the employees. To answer our purpose we used a qualitative study with the help of interviews with eight unit managers. To analyze the material we used a thematic analysis. The result was analyzed with the help of the notions, leadership and managership and systems theory. The study's result showed that the unit managers experienced their duty as both complex and fun. The managership were described with words as responsibility and power, while the leadership were described with words as trust and motivation. Further the results showed that the leadership seems to be one of the biggest parts in their duty, with most focus on the employees. The conclusion of the study was that the unit manager role is complex and multifaceted, that comes with a lot of responsibility. Further the conclusion was that the unit managers role can have a big effect on the employees well-being

No full textAbstract Background: Dropout from organized sports is a common and recurring problem.Aim: What experiences do former participants in organized sports report ascontributing to their dropout and negative experiences of organized sports? Method: The study is based on qualitative interviews and was analyzed usingthematic analysis. Results: The results show that there are several factors behind dropout andnegative experiences. These factors are also often intertwined. The main factorsthat emerge from the results are: commitment, motivation, coaches, club demands,injuries, sense of community, pressure, life balance, physical demands, andperformance anxiety. Discussion: The reason behind an individual’s dropout is complex and is ofteninfluenced by several factors. CapConnect : An Android application for internal communication and employee engagement at Capgemini
No full textInternt engagemang och kommunikation är avgörande för att upprätthålla en trivsam och effektiv arbetsmiljö. I dagsläget används ofta etablerade kommunikationsverktyg, men dessa kan sakna funktionalitet anpassad för specifika företagsbehov. Ett centralt problem är att medarbetare har svårt att hitta kontorsrelaterad information och känna sig delaktiga via de plattformar som används i dagsläget. I detta examensarbete har målet varit att utveckla en Android-applikation som underlättar intern kommunikation och stärker engagemanget bland anställda. För att uppnå detta har en Android-applikation utvecklats utifrån de krav och mål som bestämts tillsammans med handledaren på Capgemini. Resultatet av projektet är en färdigutvecklad Android-applikation som möter de behov som identifierats, och som är anpassad för att förbättra informationsflödet och stärka det interna engagemanget inom företaget. Utvärderingarna visar att appen förbättrar tillgången till viktig information och främjar en ökad känsla av delaktighet bland medarbetarna.Internal engagement and communication are essential for maintaining a positive and productive work environment. While widely used communication tools exist, they often lack features specifically tailored to the unique needs of individual organizations. A key issue is that employees frequently encounter difficulties in accessing officerelated information and feeling genuinely involved when using generic communication platforms. In this thesis, the goal has been to develop an Android mobile application that facilitates communication and engagement for employees. To achieve this, an Android application was developed in accordance with the defined requirements and goals. The outcome of the project is a fully developed Android application that addresses the identified needs and is specifically designed to improve the flow of information and strengthen internal engagement within the company. The evaluations show that the app improves access to important information and promotes a greater sense of involvement among employees
Seasonal effects in modern markets : A study on the Sell in May effect’s development over time
No full textStudien syftar till att undersöka förekomsten och utvecklingen av kalenderanomalin Sell in May and Go Away (SIM) på de svenska, amerikanska och australiensiska aktiemarknaderna under perioden 1990–2020. Studien tillämpar ordinary least squares (OLS) regressioner för att analysera säsongseffekter i månadsvis avkastning från aktieindex. För att fördjupa studien utvärderas även den riskjusterade avkastningen mellan en Sell in May-strategi och en traditionell Buy & Hold (BAH) strategi med stöd av Sharpekvoter och Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM). Resultaten gav visst stöd för att SIM-effekten existerar, särskilt på den svenska marknaden, där statistiskt signifikanta skillnader i avkastning mellan vinter- och sommarhalvåret observerades för hela perioden 1990–2020. I övrigt var resultaten ofta inte signifikanta, vilket innebär att de bör tolkas med försiktighet. Vid jämförelse av investeringsstrategierna visade SIM-strategin en starkare riskjusterad avkastning än BAH-strategin i samtliga fall, vilket framgår i analysen av sharpekvoterna. Däremot visade CAPM-analysen inte något stöd för att SIM-strategin genererat någon överavkastning utöver vad som kan förklaras av marknadsrisken, vilket försvagar hypotesen om att det rör sig om en faktisk marknadsanomali. Slutsatsen är att SIM-effekten i viss utsträckning förekommer, men att dess styrka varierar mellan marknader och över tid, vilket skulle kunna tyda på att marknadens effektivitet ökat över tid.This study aims to investigate the existence and development of the calendar anomaly known as Sell in May and Go Away (SIM) in the Swedish, American and Australian stock markets during the period 1990–2020. In order to do this, ordinary least squares (OLS) regressions are applied to analyze the seasonal effects in monthly returns from stock indices. In order to deepen the analysis, the risk adjusted returns of a SIM strategy are compared to a Buy & Hold (BAH) strategy using Sharpe ratios and the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM). The results provide some support for the existence of the SIM effect, particularly in the Swedish market, where statistically significant differences in returns between the winter (November-April) and summer (May-October) periods were observed when measuring the entire time period. For the other markets, as well as the individual decades themselves, the results were generally not statistically significant which implies that the findings should be interpreted with caution. When comparing the two investment strategies, the SIM strategy exhibited a stronger risk adjusted return in all cases which can be seen in the analysis of the Sharpe ratios. However, the CAPM analysis found no evidence for returns that couldn’t be explained by the systematic market risk which weakens the idea that SIM represents a true market anomaly. The conclusion is that the SIM effect appears to exist to some extent, but its strength varies across markets and over time, which could be interpreted as a sign of increasing market efficiency.
From console to classroom: a study on video games in school-age educare
No full textThe purpose of the study is to investigate how video games are used as educational tools in school-age educare (fritidshem), what challenges exist, and how they can be used for educational purposes. I conducted a semi-structured qualitative interview study. The results show that after-school teachers use a variety of methods when using video games as an educational tool. One of the more common methods is through tournaments, where students get to practice, among other things, turn-taking and cooperation. The study concludes that video games as an educational tool are an effective option for increasing students’ motivation, aligning with the curriculum for after-school care. Finally, the biggest challenges were the after-school care teachers' knowledge in video games and excessive screen time for students.Studiens syfte är att undersöka hur tv-spel används som pedagogiskt verktyg inom fritidshemmen, vilka utmaningar som finns samt möjligheter för hur det kan användas i undervisningssyfte. Studien har genomförts som en semistrukturerad kvalitativ intervjustudie. Resultatet visar att lärare i fritidshem använder sig av en mängd olika metoder i användandet av tv-spel som pedagogiskt verktyg. En av de vanligare metoderna är genom turneringar, där eleverna får öva på bland annat turtagning och samarbete. Studiens slutsats tyder på att tv-spel som pedagogiskt verktyg kan vara ett effektivt alternativ för att öka elevernas motivation som går i linje med läroplanen för fritidshemmet (Skolverket, 2022). Slutligen var de största utmaningarna begränsad kunskap om tv-spel hos lärare i fritidshem och oron över en allt för hög skärmtid till eleverna
