    Anna Bauer writes about main events in her life, and devotes one page to Schwarzwaldschule in Vienna. In 1919 her parents died, and she went to Sweden to live with foster parents. Her aunt became like a mother to her and her 2 sisters. She writes how she met her husband Martin, and about their "odd" wedding. When the Nazis came to Austria, she was forced to srub the streets. Soon after, they could escape to Sydney, Australia. She writes about their experiences after arrival, and building up a new life.Anna Bauer, née Rafael, was born on 08/25/1906 in Vienna. She went to high school at prestigious Schwarzwaldschule. She had 2 sisters, Franzi and Ella. Her mother and father both died in 1919, and she was sent to Sweden to foster parents for 2 years. Back in Vienna, she was taken care of by her aunt Elsa, and later worked in a small company before marrying Martin Josef Bauer. Sewing and hand-craft piece-work in Australia.
