Stimuli used for the experiment. Files names starting with "f" are stimuli of the C+ condition and file names starting with "m" are stimuli of the C- condition
Effects of Exercise-Induced Stress on Moral Decision-Making
The proposed research study will use a counterbalanced repeated measures design to measure the effects of physiological stress on moral decision-making
Polish adaptation and validation of the Comic Style Markers questionnaire by Ruch et al. (2018)
This project is carried out as part of the the National Science Center in Poland grant MINIATURA 6 2022/06/x/HS6/00864 awarded to the first author. Part of the data in the associated study was gathered as part of the National Science Center in Poland grant SONATA 35 2019/35/D/HS2/0100 awarded to the final author
Effects of Nicotine on Smooth Pursuit Eye Movements: a Quantitative Review
The purpose of this preregistration is to provide an overview of the theoretical background, hypotheses and methods that will be used to examine the effects of nicotine on smooth pursuit eye movements in a quantitative review with potential meta-analysis
The Relationship of Goal Orientations & Self-Efficacy with Academic Achievement: A Meta-Analysis
Goal orientation is a densely researched area whose literature lacks cohesion. This study aims to gain a clearer picture of its relationship with academic achievement by updating the 2007 meta-analysis investigating goal orientations, self-efficacy and academic achievement using contemporary literature from the last 5 years
Transition from school to adult life: the values, perspectives and lived experiences of persons with intellectual disabilities and their family members: a systematic scoping review protocol.
This protocol outlines an intended study relating to the transition of people with intellectual disabilities from school and childhood to adult life. A systematic scoping review (Tricco, 2018) will be undertaken to establish and summarise what is currently known about the perspectives, lived experiences and goals of young people with intellectual disabilities and their family members about this transition. Through understanding how this area has been studied to date and what is already known on this topic, the review also aims to identify if there are gaps in the literature that suggest a need for further research in this area
Know Thyself: the Role of Personality, Major Life Goals and Self-Insight in predicting Subjective Well-Being
Three widely known predictors of Subjective Well-being (SWB) are the Big Five Personality Traits, Major Life Goals (MLG) and Self-Insight. We aim to 1) replicate the MLG-SWB relation using Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and 2) Investigate if Self-Insight predicts SWB independent of the Big Five and MLG. MLG have in previous studies predicted Subjective Well-Being (SWB) independent of the Big Five Personality Traits. However, MLG have been measured with closed-ended numerical questions, or open-ended questions categorised by researchers. We want to examine if the answers on one of the previously used open-ended questions regarding MLG can predict SWB, when the responses are analysed with state-of-the-art Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, without human biased coding. Regarding the second aim, Self-Insight has been strongly correlated with SWB, but has not been compared with the Big Five and MLG in predicting SWB. We want to investigate if Self-Insight adds information in predicting SWB independent of the Big Five Traits and MLG
Sequential Pricing
Sellers and buyers think and behave differently during transactions, such that they price the same product differently. We are interested in how their marginal utility varies differently as the quantity of products or the quantity of a product attribute changes
Men Perceivers' Emotionality Judgments of Anger Sequences
The goal of this component is to demonstrate that male participants, when presented with sequences of faces displaying neutral to negative emotion (anger) 1) are more likely to judge female faces as emotional compared to male faces, and 2) will demonstrate a sequential amplification effect on judgments of emotionality, specifically that participants will be more likely to judge longer sequences as emotional
Adverse events reporting systems in cell, organ and tissue donation and transplantation: scoping review protocol
This is the registration of scoping review protocol titled "Adverse event reporting systems in cell, organ and tissue donation and transplantation: scoping review protocol". This protocol follows the methodology proposed by Joanna Briggs Institute for scoping reviews. To the best of the authors knowledge, no other protocol within this field has been made available to the public
