Discussion of technical elements related to new services utilizing Tsuyama City Open Data and webAPI
publisherThese days, foreign tourist to Japan is increasing. According to Japan National Tourism Organization, their year-over-year growth rate is 19.3%. In other words, tourist including them is increasing. Hence, to serve tourism information is needed to them and its necessity is increasing. In Tsuyama City, tourist is increasing and increasing them is considered to keep continuously. Thus, considering to grow up service to them is necessary. Therefore, to serve it correctly can reach to grow up service for tourist spot.
As stated above, considering to grow up service quality. For instance, to serve events or news information is useful for it. Furthermore, to serve tourism information as some languages is useful. In contrast, to serve it is considered costly. Currently, Tsuyama City serves “Tsuyama Koe Navi” where is served tourism information as text and voice in some languages. However, adding many tourism information is difficult due to a cost of development and operation.
We investigate the way to grow up service quality for tourist spot using open data and webAPI where is served in Tsuyama City. In particular, first we investigate the way to generate tourism information with some data and to add useful information. Second we investigate the way to translate it correctly. Finally we investigate the way to generate tourism information as some languages automatically by these two techniques.departmental bulletin pape
“Take Me or Leave Me”: Seeking a Sense of Oneself in Theatre Education
publisherThe purpose of this practical report is to show multiplicity in male students’ perspectives about gender and social consciousness in the new specialized subject of the international communications program, “Communication Studies Ⅰ” which started for the fourth-year students of NIT, Tsuyama College from 2019. In this course, students reconsidered their own perspectives on topics of gender, including feminism, gender bias, LGBT people, and HIV by discussing the rock musical, Rent. In consequence, they came to notice the prejudice of the people of U.S.A. in the late 1980s toward HIV-positive people, and further, to know the significance of embracing multiplicity of perspectives, such as gay or transgender. The students finally noticed a free choice in life among sexual minorities concerned with seeking an answer to what is a sense of ‘genuine’ in oneself.departmental bulletin pape
Why does the spider silk shine with rainbow colors ?
publisherRainbow like color observed on spider web may be result of interference of light scattered by pseude periodic structure of droplets on spider silk string. Assuming that the each droplet on the spider silk act as a light source, color on the web is reproduce by calculation of interference.departmental bulletin pape
An Investigation of Mathematical Modeling of Criminal Action -Action of murder cases-
publisherWe propose a mathematical model of criminal action. This paper deals with mathematical modeling of action of murder cases. Our model seems to be reasonable since our verification, and needs to improve for some murder cases.departmental bulletin pape
An examination of argument about the engagement of Parliament with war powers in the U.K.
publisherThe purpose of this study is to examine the argument about the engagement of Parliament in the exercise of the war prerogative. In the U.K. the decision to go to war remains a matter for the Government exercising power derived from the Royal Prerogative. In recent years, particular after Iraq War, there are many arguments which propose the engagement of Parliament with armed conflict decisions. But the evaluations of these proposals and the practice of War Power Convention in Parliament are not yet settled.departmental bulletin pape
Mathematics and chemistry interdisciplinary joint research and the Fukui Project XXIV
publisherThis is the 24th part of the series of articles that records and further develops essentials of the Mathematics and Chemistry Interdisciplinary Symposium 2013 Tsuyama, whose main themes were symmetry, periodicity, and repetition. The symposium was held on April 5th and 6th in Tsuyama city, Okayama, Japan, in conjunction with the Fukui Project and was devoted to the memory of the late Professor Kenichi Fukui (1981 Nobel Prize) who initiated the project. The present series also provides challenging cross-disciplinary problems which are directly related to the Fukui conjecture, the Global Pattern Identification (GPI) in the Repeat Space Theory (RST), and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Some of these problems are formulated using mathematical language not well known among chemists despite the importance of these notions in elucidating additivity and high-speed asymptotic phenomena in molecules having many repeating identical moieties. The cross-disciplinary interaction between the Repeat Space Theory and the Spatial Anthropology has been discussed in connection with the Science-Art Multi-angle Network (SAM Network) Project, which seeks to bridge Science and Art (visual, audial, and conceptual) for a creative collaboration, and is an important part of the Fukui Project.departmental bulletin pape
Measurement of principal moment of inertia of tops
publisherMoment of inertia of tops is measured using a torsional pendulum. Dumping constant of the pendulum can be ignored to determine the moment of inertia from pendulum period. The magnitude of three orthogonal principal moment of inertia are measured as a function of length of top axis. When the magnitude of moment of inertia about the top axis exists between the other two those left, the top will lose its stability of rotation.departmental bulletin pape
Development of higher-mileage car – structure –
publisherAn internal combustion engine vehicle which has been invented for 120 years is absolutely imperative for our life. Green action and resource-saving are the key technologies for automobile engineering. Hybrid car, hybrid electric vehicle, electric vehicle, and clean diesel have been developed. New diesel and petrol cars and vans will be banned in the UK from 2040 in a bid to address air pollution, the government has announced in July 2017. However, an internal combustion engine vehicle will maintain holding a key position at least 20 years. The competition for gasoline mileage “Honda eco-mileage challenge” is held since 1981. Here we show the newly developed experimental production vehicle. The design guide, structural design, of the vehicle which has simple rigid frame has been demonstrated.departmental bulletin pape
