A study on the time domain blind source separation considering multiple sources
publisherThe study tries the generalization of Jutten’s algorithm to get the performance of separation in the presence of multiple sources. We construct the separation circuit with 3 input and output for the mixing field with 3 sources, and evaluate the circuit. The circuit is constructed in the time domain, and the structure is recursive type without the requirment of post-processing. Surface diffusion of the Y123 Superconductor
publisherMelt-processed YBa2Cu3Oy(Y123) superconductors are highly attractive for bulk applications, such as strong superconducting bulk magnets. Therefore, we studied the heat insulator of the Y123 bulk superconductors. Phase diagram shows a peritectic point at about 1010℃ where Y2BaCuO5(Y211), a liquid and Y123 coexist. We fabricated the bulk superconductors to put the Y123 bulk between the Y211 bulks. As the result, we could have the Y211 film in the Y123 bulk superconductor. It is showed that magnet floats on this bulk superconductor by meissner effect longer than one on the Y123 superconductor without Y211 film. Numerical Simulation of CO2 Gas Absorption into and Desorption from Monoethanolamine Aqueous Solution
publisherThis paper describes a numerical simulation of CO2 gas absorption and desoxption rates, using equations derived from the results of the experiments with HCl and monoethanolamine(MEA) solution.
In the absorption process, the rate of the increase in the quantity of all CO2 species in the solution, [CO2]T, increased with MEA concentration, solution temperature and CO2 gas flow rate. The rate of decrease in [CO2]T during the desorption process was high when the solution temperature was low and N2 gas flow rate was high. And the decrease rate of [CO2]T in MEA solution was simllar to that of the HCl solution when MEA concentration was lower than 0.10mol/dm(3).
On the other hand, the concentration of CO2 in the exhaust gas following absorption process was lower with a high concentration MEA solution than with a HCl solution. It was low, when the solution temperature was high, and CO2 gas flow rate was low. CO2 concentration in the exhaust gas following the desorption process was high when the solution temperature and CO2 gas flow rate were low. But CO2 concentration using MEA solution and that using HCl solution were similar when the MEA concentration was lower than 0.10mol/dm(3).departmental bulletin pape
Photo-Voltaic Effect of Anti-Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal Cells
publisherAnti-ferroelectric liquid crystal cells mixed with one of o-nitro-p-chloroaniline, acid brown M, acid red, azo blue, alizalin yellow R, chrome yellow, sudan Ⅰ, sudan Ⅳ, fast violet B and brilliant yellow investigated on the photo-electromotive force irradiated visible rays and the theoretical analysis.
The photo-electromotive force by the illumination strength of 1000 lux on the incident light of fluorecent lamp was measured by the electric pen-recorder. The experimenntal measurements were made on the photo electromotive force by ① various kinds of dyestuffs, ② the cell thickness, ③ the resistivity of the wafer, ④ the copper electrode and ⑤ the existence of the conductive solder.
The photo-electromotive force increased on the thin film cells compared with the thick and on the wafer having the low resistivity compared with the high. The photo-electromotive force had the highest value on the acid brown

A Study of CO2 Gas Adsorption into and Desorption from Methyldiethanolamine Aqueous Solution
publisherThe apparent absorption rate, (S/V)kL*, and the apparent desorption rate,(S/V)kL', of CO2 gas were investigated by blowing CO2 gas and N2 gas into methyldiethanolamine(MDEA)aqueous solution through an upwaτd vertical glass nozzle. Then (S/V)kL* and (S/V)kL' with MDEA aqueous solution were compared with those with monoethanolamine(MEA) aqueous solution.
It was found that (S/V)kL* with MDEA and MEA solution were 1.4 times and 3.2 times as high, respectively, as that of physical absorption, and that (S/V)kL' was as high as that of physical desorption. Temperature dependencies of (S/V)kL* and (S/V)kL' with MDEA and MEA aqueous solution were similar to those of mass transfer in liquid film. Futhermore, linear relationships were found between (S/V)kL*, (S/V)kL’ and gas flow rate. Both absorption and desorption processes used these solutions, and it seems that the mass transfer process in liquid film was the rate determining step in these reactions.departmental bulletin pape
A Novel DC-DC Converter with Variable Frequency Clock
publisherIn this paper, the author proposes a novel boost type DC-DC converter with variable frequency clock. A conventional booster such as a charge pump type booster or a switched capacitor booster operates with a fixed frequency clock and it's output voltage is not constant by load variation. In order to improve this problem, new converter circuit consisting of VCO, output voltage detector and DC-DC converter block is introduced. This converter can generate a variable frequency clock suitable to load variation and minirnizes variations of output voltages and reduces power dissipation. The new booster circuits are simulated by Spice and are confirmed that proposed system has better characteristics than conventional DC-DC converter. Adsorption Isotherms of N2 on the Graphites Burnt-off in O2-H2O Atmosphere
publisherThe adsorption-desorption isotherms of N2 at 77K on the graphite samples, which had been obtained through burning off a natural graphite with O2-H2O gas mixture, were measured volumetrically. And at the time the SEM observation for the samples were carried out. As a result, the basal plane were so eroded in the burning-off process that many holes were formed there. Both untreated graphite and the 20%-burnt-off one gave the similar adsorption isotherms of Type Ⅱ which have the Joyner-Emmett step near the relative pressure of 0.4, while the shape of the isotherm on the 53%-burnt-off graphite looks stepwise. A Framework for the Synthesis of the Saussurian and Peircean Sign
publisherThis paper aims to reconcile the differences between the dyadie model of the linguistic sign of the Structuralist tradition and the triadic version promoted by followers of Charlcs S. Peirce. It argues for a view of the dyadic sign as a perceptible object and the Peircean triad as a Perceived obieet. By proposing a framework to describe the perceptual flow, it argues that the dyadic sign can be seen to operate within the perceptual process, whereas the Peircean triad is, at least in some of Peirce’s descriptions, of the process. A vocabulary list of 37 items is offered in order to clarify the relations between different elements of the framework, limiting unintended associations through the formalization of the terms.departmental bulletin pape
A Study on Region Detection using Active Net in Two Steps
publisherIn this paper, we describe a method to detect a region from color image by using Active Net. In a conventional method, Active Net has been applied once to color similarity map which is evaluated by color distribution function. Then, a method using Active Net in two steps is proposed. Namely, Active Net is applied to color similarity map which is shrunk, and therefore, a region is detected by applying Active Net to original map again.
