A simulation for some control systems using the software vN and Matlab
publisherIn this paper, a simulation method for some control systems which are imaginary constructed on PC by using visualNastran(vN) is discussed. vN is a software which makeds it possible to visualize engineering concepts. The simulation here is accomplished using the software Matlab /simulik which are well known as the tool for a control system analysis and simulation.
The simulation method using imaginary model in this paper is one of design methods for controllers which makes it cost down, speed up and efficiency as compared with the real systems.departmental bulletin pape
Diffusion of the Liquid Phase for the Superconducting Film
publisherMelt-processed YBa2Cu3Oy(Y123) or GbBa2Cu3Oy(Gb123) superconductors are highly research on processings of the Y123 bulk superconductors. Phase diagram shows a peritectic point at about 1010℃ where Y2BaCuO5(Y211) or Gb2BaCuO5(Gb211), a liquid and Y123 or Gb123 coexist.
We fabricated the Gb211/Y123/Gb211 thin film by sputtering method. Three layer thin films were fabricated, and heated it at atmospheric pressure. The Y123 thin film separated into Y211 and the liquid phase. The state of the film at each temperature was examined by the XPS analysis. As the result, we could have the diffusion of the liquid phase at 1000℃ or less in the Y123 film.departmental bulletin pape
Generation of Gait of Quadrupedal Robot
publisherIn this paper, generation of gains(Walk, Trot, Rotatory Gallop) for quadrupedal Robot(AIBo ERS-7) is described. Because of actualizing gaits, first we decide reference trajectories of each toe, and design angle instruction values of each joint by inverse kinematics so that they are represented. Experimental results demonstrate that proper reference trajecries of each toe, and phase defference of idlling leg phase and earthing leg phase is effective to generate of gaits of the quadrupedal robot.departmental bulletin pape
Quantitative Description of Microscopic Plastic Deformation of Polycrystalline Aluminum using Laser-Scanning Microscope
publisherThe microscope plastic deformation behavior of polycrystalline aluminum sheet during uniaxial tension is experimentally investigated by a confocal laser- scanning microscope. Measuring method of grain rotation from images of specimen surface before and after deformation is proposed. Digital image processing technique is applied to the surface grain image taken by the CCD camera.It is shown that the averaged grain-rotation on the observed surface plane is much less than the averaged grain-rotation out of the surface plane. The averaged grain rotation in both directions linearly increases with the applied strain. The grain rotation in material is much less than that on the surface. It is shown that the grain rotation is large when the shape of grain is close to a circle. Discussions are made on the relation between grain rotation, strains of grains and various factors affecting them, such as grain size, grain shape and slip-line angle.departmental bulletin pape

The proposed drainpipe can control the suction force with the working of water flow itself without any mechanical equipment. In previous report, the suction force and basic flow properties on the drainpipe were analyzed experimentally. International Students at Tsuyama National College of Tecnology
publisherTsuyama National College of Technology started to accept the foreign students in 1985. A total of 59 international students have already entered at our the 3rd year student, and 13 students from six countries are currently studying in the engineering departments in order to acquire the engineering knowledge and skills.
In this paper we have summarized the past and present status of the enrollment, education and support for the overseas students. Production of Windcar as Teaching Material for Schoolchildren to Introduce Interest of Manufacturing
publisherWe developed new teaching material to introduce the interest of manufacturing for schoolchildren. In this teaching material, schoolchildren can know the interest of manufacturing by making and playing a windcar. The windcar is the car which runs to windward by using only the power of wind. We prepared the windcar kit, which contains all parts of windcar and instruction manual. The windcar kit has fifteen process to complete and in needs 10-20 minutes for most schoolchildren. We participated in the public exhibition in Okayama Research Park with this teaching material. From the looks of the participated children or the circumstance of this event, we considered that if the teaching material is suitable to introduce the interest of manufacturing for schoolchildren. As the result, it is shown that this teaching material is the effective to give the participants the interest. Photo-Voltaic Effect of Nematic Liquid Crystal Cells
publisherAn experiment of the Photo electromotive force (p.e.m.f.)of Nematic Crystal cells are performed on the irradiation of various light sources, the temperature characteristic adn the response time of cells. The fabricated cells are mixed with dyestuff that are 3% weight ratio of Liquid Crystal. The light sources used for the experiments are a daylight fluorescent lamp. the white LED, the blue LED. the laser diode, the infrared rays LED and an incandescence electric bulb. The temperature characteristic of cells were measured on the p.e.m.f. changing the temoerature at intervals of 5 ℃ between 10 and 60 ℃.
The response times of cell showed the 30 ms at the incident light on and off. The cells on the incident light of the daylight fluorescent lamp and the white LED obtained the high p.e.m.f. compared the other light source.The cell mixed Alizarin Yellow generated the highest p.e.m.f,in 50 ℃ on the temperature characteristics.departmental bulletin pape
Simulation System for Grain Growth Running on PC Cluster -Study of Specification of PC Cluster and Results Test Simulations-
publisherFor the purpose of schooling and technical traning, it is helpful to visualize a phenomenon of grain growth. And many persons concerned pay attention to Monte Carlo simulation of grain growth, that is a simple but reasonable simulation method. But that Monte Carlo simulation takes a long time. So we built a simulation system, which calculated a grain growth in parallel on PC cluster. By examining some simulation results, we could make sure that our simulation system would generate appropriate results. Activating of Club Activities by a Coach Invited Outside College
publisherThe Badminton team of Tsuyama National College of Technology has been activated by inviting a coach outside of the College. The coach had started teaching the team in October 2000. Thereby the results of badminton games have been improved at the inter high-school area championship as well as the championship for the students in the College of Technology in Japan. Especially the team won the first prize from 2002 to 2005 at the Chugoku area championship for the students in the College of Technology. Through a questionnaire to the players, an inquiry was done about primary factors to activate the club activities both on technical and mental stand points.
