Implementation and Performance Evaluation of an IPv4/v6 Interconnect System Using Open Source Software
publisherWe implement an IPv4/v6 interconnect system in low specification hardware with open source software (OSS) as IPv6 network environment spread. The interconnect system is composed by adopting an IPv6-to-IPv4 transport relay translator (TRT), and using OSS such as FreeBSD, Jail, faithd and BIND. The performance of the system is evaluated by a viewpoint of a mutual packet transformation of IPv4 and IPv6 and a durability when flash memory is used. About the packet transformation, it is confirmed to operate normally by measuring packets in the system at a high load. In addition, the system durability that replaced a hard disk with a flash memory is evaluated by a continuous writing examination.departmental bulletin pape
A basic study on Mongolian-Japanese translation
publisherFrom December 2009, Tsuyama National College of Technology has signed an international exchange agreement for research exchange with Mongolian National University of Science and Technology, Uburuhangai University. As a part of the agreement, in this laboratory, a research about translating Mongolian language into Japanese language was started. Both Mongolian and Japanese are known as agglutinative language which means a language that the back of each word is continued by a particle or a suffix, and they also follow the same type of sentence structure that called SOV. But, if Mongolian's noun and any particle are attached together, the noun will change according to the particle and letter elimination. First, this research only focuses on creating a Mongolian morphological analysis method and a Mongolian-Japanese word dictionary database using a Mongolian sightseeing guidebook. Then, the system that converts Mongolian to Japanese is created. A total of 665 words in the guidebook were used for the experiments. Experiments confirmed the validity of morphological analysis of Mongolian noun phrase using the knowledge of this research.departmental bulletin pape
Photometric Observation of Short-Period Eclipsing Binary Star
publisherThe apparent luminosity of the eclipsing binary star changes periodically, which consists of two stars hidden by each other. We took a series of pictures of the short-period V1191 Cyg using the 50cm-diameter telescope of Bisei Spaceguard Center on August 6th, 2013, and also took a series of pictures of the short-period V0523 Cas using the 101cm-diameter telescope of Bisei Astronomical Observatory on October 12th, 2013. We then reduced the data and performed a photometric analysis using image reduction and analysis facility (IRAF) software. We estimated the periods of luminosity variation by drawing the light curves. Mathematics and Chemistry Interdisciplinary Joint Research and the Fukui Project VI
publisherThis is the sixth part of the series of articles that records and further develops essentials of the Mathematics and Chemistry Interdisciplinary Symposium 2013 Tsuyama, whose main themes were symmetry, periodicity, and repetition. The symposium was held on April 5th and 6th in Tsuyama city, Okayama, Japan, in conjunction with the Fukui Project and was devoted to the memory of the late Professor Kenichi Fukui (1981 Nobel Prize) who initiated the project. The present series also provides challenging cross-disciplinary problems which are directly related to the Fukui conjecture and to recent carbon nanotube research. Most of these problems are formulated using mathematical language of unique factorization domain (UFD) and related notions, which are not well known among chemists despite the importance of these notions in elucidating additivity and high-speed asymptotic phenomena in molecules having many repeating identical moieties.departmental bulletin pape

Trajectory of quasi-geostationary satellites
publisherA procedure for calculating trajectory of quasi-geostationary satellites is demonstrated. Satellite orbit is calculated based on the Kepler's law. A way of obtaining trajectory of the orbit in the sky observed from arbitrary point on the Earth is explained.
