Foodscape : A New Trend of “Food Landscape” in Anthropology and its Related Academic Fields
Get PDFここ10数年間，英語圏の食研究ではフードスケープという概念が注目を集めるようになっている。フードスケープ研究は当初，食文化研究の新たな関心として，複数の学問領域に跨って展開してきた。だが，フードスケープの研究が多岐に展開しすぎた結果，今この概念を使うことの意義が曖昧となる結果を招いている。こうした状況に鑑みて，本稿は特に物質的側面に着目し，文化人類学とその隣接領域におけるフードスケープ研究の動向を紹介する。それにより，これまで体系的に論じられることが少なかった「食の景観」（または「食景観」）という新たな研究分野を模索することを目的としている。For decades, studies of food in English-language regions have specifi-cally examined the foodscape concept. Originally, foodscape was developed as an important concept in the realm of “food globalization” across several academic fields. Yet, the importance of using foodscape theory has become increasingly weaker because scholars treat this concept differently according to their respective academic purposes. To resolve this inconsistency of treat-ment, this study reviews foodscape research conducted in the domain of socio-cultural anthropology and its related academic fields, shedding light on materiality and elucidating a new study field of “food landscape”.departmental bulletin pape
