大学で学ぶ君たちへ遠い先輩からのアドバイス 2025
Get PDF名古屋大学生協が主催した新入生応援企画「名大生GrowUp講座」において谷村省吾教授が「大学で学ぶ君たちへ、遠い先輩からのアドバイス」と題する講演を2025年3月22日に行った。そのプレゼンテーションファイル。他人が見つけた知識を吸収することが勉強であり、自ら新しい知識を生み出すことが研究である。人間は身体的には弱い生き物でありながら、世界をよく知ることによって世界のできごとに適切に対応し、上手に世界に働きかけることができるようになってきた。しかも人類は、知識をたくわえ、知識を他人に伝え、知識を使って作り出したものを他者と交換することもできる。このような協働体制を営むことによって人類は地球上の他の生物を圧倒する存在となった。こうした知の生産と伝承の営みに参加することが大学・大学院での学びなのだということを論じた。また、充実した学生生活を送るためのさまざまなアドバイスを新入生たちに伝えた。自分自身が学生時代に経験した部活や自主ゼミの話も紹介した。今年の新ネタとしてChatGPTに名古屋大学の入試の数学の問題を解かせた結果を見せた。夢中になること、寸暇を惜しんでやり続けることが大切だという数学者やアスリートの言葉を紹介した。太宰治の小説『正義と微笑』の作中の人物である黒田先生の言葉を紹介した。conference outpu
