The challenges of disabled people in Lebanon in the early-2020s
Get PDFSince the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), the approach to disability has not only focused on medical care, prevention, and rehabilitation guided by medical staff, but there has been a growing international consensus that full participation of disabled people must be guaranteed (Sugino, 2007). In this research, the author explored the application of the “social model of disability”. Some have questioned the validity of and relevance to the social model of disability in the generally conservative Arab region. Through the analysis of this research, it was made clear that in Lebanon, where the basic foundation of the civil society movement and democracy has been established, the “social model of disability” is being established with powerful disability movements and self-help groups. This research is an emancipatory research. It is based on existing publications and the author’s experiential knowledge through her residency at the United Nations Office in Beirut from 1997 to 20021, as well as a participatory focus group and individual interviews conducted in Beirut in March 2020. The set of recommendations was written based on the results of interviews and focus groups. Get PDF欧米の諸都市の中心市街地には多くの人々が集まり，買い物や飲食，娯楽を楽しむだけでなく，人々との交流や会話も楽しんでいる。そこでは私有地での暮らしだけでなく，道路や公園，水辺などの屋外生活が暮らしの豊かさを決定づける。同時に都市魅力を高める半公共空間も同様に重要である。そこで本調査研究では次の4つの視点から分析した。
第一に米国西海岸3都市，西欧3都市について，これまでの1997年，2012年，2022年の定点観測調査から，量的・質的変化を，とりわけ新型コロナ感染症拡大下での変化を把握した。第二にプラハやパリ，ヘルシンキ等でのネットワークされた半公共空間（パサージュ等）の活用事例や米国での民間が提供する公園的広場の実態を把握した。第三に公共施設の屋上を有効活用し市民に開放した事例や第四に自動車依存から脱却するため自転車利用を促進している西欧都市の道路の空間配分や駐輪の現状を把握したうえで，都市景観破壊の実態を明らかにした。departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF本稿では，オスマン帝国史において「改革の時代」とされる19世紀前半における地方軍政官の人事に着目し，オスマン帝国中央政府の地方社会に対する統治方針の一端について考察した。考察対象の場所は現在のギリシア北部に存在していたヤンヤ県とし，考察対象の時期は18世紀末よりヤンヤ県を中心に中央政府から半ば自立した勢力として広大な領域を支配したアルバニア人豪族テペデレンリ・アリー・パシャの討伐が始まった1820年から，ヤンヤ県にタンズィマート改革が導入され，ヤンヤ州が新たに設立された1846年前後までとした。当該時期に就任したヤンヤ県軍政官各自の履歴，選出・離任理由などについて考察した結果，ギリシア独立戦争やアルバニア人豪族の統御などの問題に対処するため，1830年代前半まではアルバニア人豪族の任用，有力政治家の親子2代にわたる長期の統治がみられ，「第二のテペデレンリ・アリー・パシャ」が出現する可能性があったことなどを指摘した。departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF一般的に，メイヨーが心理学を取り入れた産業調査としてホーソン実験が有名であるが，この実験の中心人物は，レスリスバーガーとディクソンである。そこで，メイヨーがホーソン実験に参加していた本当の理由を違った角度から検討してみた。おそらく，職場環境に対しての人格に関する調査が本当の狙いであったのではないかと筆者は考えている。その理由としては，すでに，心理学を取り入れた産業調査をフィラデルフィラで実施している。そこでは，職場環境と離職率に関する調査および，その問題に対する施策を実施している。だからこそ，メイヨーがホーソン実験で本当に知りたかったことは，職場環境と人格の問題であったと考えられる。そのような理由から，ホーソン実験では，職場環境が従業員の個人人格に影響を与えていると考えている。本稿は，メイヨーが最後に書きあげた著書である「ピエール・ジャネの心理学に関する研究ノート」を理解するための研究である。departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF近年，企業が職務や勤務地を特定して採用や配置をするジョブ型雇用に社会の注目が集まっているが，今のところキャリア教育科目の領域における議論は低調である。そこで，本論では，ジョブ型をテーマとする書籍10冊において示されている専門家のジョブ型に関する捉え方および新卒採用についての捉え方を整理し検討することを目的としたレビューを実施した。結果として，徐々にではあるが産業界が全体にジョブ型への移行を進めていく傾向は確かにあること，しかし専門家間にも誤解があること，コンサルティング業界に牽引された主張が多いこと，ジョブ型に移行するにしても新卒一括採用は維持されると予想されること等を今後のキャリア教育科目への示唆として示した。departmental bulletin pape
Terrorism and drug trafficking : Problems with the international legal framework on drug control
Get PDFRecently, the links between terrorism and organised criminal activity have become stronger, and although the relationship between them has attracted considerable interest in the social sciences, the legal linkages are less well articulated. At present, an international drug control system has been established with the involvement of United Nations agencies and other organisations, centering on the three Conventions. They have, thus far, focused on the ‘criminal’ aspects of drug trafficking and have strengthened their response. However, this response, which has linked crime with drug trafficking, is currently under worldwide criticism. To enable a more comprehensive approach to all illegal activity, a detailed analysis of the characteristics of international terrorism and transnational organised crime must be undertaken, as well as an examination of the cross-sectoral applicability of present legal frameworks.departmental bulletin pape

An attempt to theorize Stock Sharing ―Creating communities with new value by sharing stocked local resources―
Get PDF従来の価値観に基づく行動様式では，社会の諸課題への対応は難しい。地球温暖化などの気候変動，資源の有限性と有用性，行政等の財源の限界性，所有と利用の分離などの制約条件を突破するための行動様式を“ストック・シェアリング”として位置づけ，その理論化（試論）を試みている。その視点として，増価蓄積型社会，コミュニティ，コモンズのキーワードを用いて試論を展開した。「対価」（価値交換）に焦点をあてればシェアリング・エコノミーとなり，「共有」に焦点をあてればコモンズになり，「蓄積」に焦点をあてれば，場としてのコミュニティとなる。そこで「人々が活動，交流し，安寧を得，創造する場としてのコミュニティにおいて，現実空間であれ，情報空間であれ，蓄積（ストック）された共有資産・交換資産とその管理・運営をコモンズと呼び，そこに公共資産を含めて，共益性・公益性の意味合いをもってシェアリングすること」をストック・シェアリングと定義した。departmental bulletin pape
