Dissociative reactions induced by electron impact and electron transport in TEOS vapor
Get PDFapplication/pdfReactions for dissociative ionization and neutral dissociation collisions between an electron and a tetraethoxysilane [Si(OC2H5)4, TEOS] molecule are reported, and neutral dissociation cross sections are calculated by applying the classical Rice–Ramsperger–Kassel theory. Detailed electron collision cross section set of TEOS vapor, including 18 neutral dissociation cross sections and 20 ionization cross sections, is constructed. Electron transport coefficients, such as the mean-arrival-time drift velocity, bulk drift velocity, longitudinal bulk diffusion coefficient, and ionization coefficient, and rate coefficients for both elastic and inelastic collisions in TEOS vapor are calculated from the present cross section set using a Monte Carlo method. The validity of the present cross section set is demonstrated by comparing the calculated electron transport coefficients with measured data. Furthermore, fragmentation of TEOS molecules by electron impact is simulated, and then the number of fragments produced in the simulation is compared with the measured mass spectra.journal articl
Distribution of the Definite Articles in Spanish and Romanian
Get PDFapplication/pdfThe definite article occupies the primary position in the article system both in Spanish and in Romanian. We examine the syntactic distribution of the definite article in a corpus, taking into account the distributional correspondence between the definite article and other determiners, the null article included. We conclude that the Spanish and Romanian definite articles have both a close connection with the null article and that the Romanian definite article assumes a part of the functions of the possessive adjectives in Spanish. It is also confirmed that the Romanian definite article has important morpho-syntactic characteristics which are not found in the Spanish one.journal articl

Get PDFapplication/pdfWeathering of glass is a problem because it degrades the optical performance of the glass. The weathering occurs when the glass has been contacted with water in the long-term. In this work, a water/glass interface model was prepared and molecular dynamics simulation was performed to investigate the structure and properties near the water/glass interface. The broken surface of the glass network at near the interface was confirmed by the distribution change of the Qn species, and it suggests that the sodium ions are trapped by the destabilized glass surface structure.journal articl

Investigations of Interests that are Induced by Remarkers and their Remarks for Item Advertisements Based on Influencer's Recommendation
Get PDFapplication/pdfIn order to sell items of a genre that each user is not interested in, their latent interests of the genre have to be induced. Therefore, we focus on "Influencer," who is the person that has a large impact on a user's behaviors, and research a recommender system which advertises some items by utilizing influencer's remarks via social media. This paper investigates what kinds of remarks and remarkers would induce users'interests. As the result, we have revealed many findings. One is that "One of the factors that would induce the users' positive interests on the movie, is the positive reputation for the movie that is included in tweets." Effect of rigidity of microenvironment on fluorescence of 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ)
Get PDFapplication/pdfWe report the effect of rigidity of microenvironments on the fluorescence quantum yield(QY) of TCNQ dispersed in polymers which have different glass transition temperatures. The fluorescence QY decreases by increasing the temperature, which suggests that the nonradiative decay process is thermally activated. A pronounced ecrease in the fluorescence QY is observed when the transition occurs from the glass state to the rubber state. The fluorescence QYs in solvents that have the similar polarity to PMMA and PVAc are smaller than those for these polymers. It is demonstrated that the nonradiative decay process is accompanied by structural deformation.journal articl
