Ogano Kabuki Practice in Middle School and its Educational Impact
Get PDFThis study consisted of two components. Part one was a survey of literature related to the way folk performing arts are learnt in schools and its educational effect on students. This survey showed that students developed an enthusiastic attitude and learnt to appreciate and enjoy dancing through activities in their physical education classes. Using folk performing arts are as a part of their annual sports day and other activities, deepened their sense of unity and connection with the local community. As a part of the Integrated Study classes, they enhanced their understanding of folk performing arts and developed in them a sense of pride in their hometown. These are the major findings of previous studies on the subject.
In the second part of this study, data were collected from an experiential kabuki lesson at a middle school.
Questions were drafted based on the data acquired from part one; the students who took classes in kabuki were asked to complete a questionnaire. The results showed that the students had strong sense of positive feelingsabout continuing the tradition, unity and achievement. They also had sense of understanding about the local area,love for their hometown and achievement of new body movement had not experienced before. Get PDFThe purpose of this paper is to contribute to classroom management by showing a model of a practical short program in an elementary school. The short program structured according to the school year events aims to promote self/other understanding and to improve children's relationships and adaptation of school life. The program is easy to operate at daily startup meetings. The effect can be measured by using a scale to obtain the conditions at both the individual child and whole class level. The Practice of Deliberative Democracy in the Special Activity of the Elementary School ―The Consensus-Building in Deschooling―
Get PDF本稿は、小学校特別活動での話し合い活動を、新学習指導要領の「合意形成」「意思決定」の視点から構想し実施した研究実践の報告です。構想にあたっては、「討議デモクラシー」ならびに「子どもの哲学ハワイ/ みやぎ」の理論と実践を参照し、小学₆年生の学級での児童による民主的討議による合意形成を目指しました。第₁章では、実践者守谷の問題意識として、「学校的なもの」による児童の抑圧の実態とその解放（脱学校化）という課題を記し、第₂章では、話し合いの議題として学級の多くの児童が「朝遊び」を提案したことを述べ、この議題が前記の実態と課題に沿うことを示しました。第₃章では、実践者守谷の問題意識に対し、合意形成や意思決定の話し合い活動をどのように理解し実践するかについて、研究者田端が討議デモクラシーの理論と実践を参照し応答を試みました。
こうした事前の検討を経て、どのような特別活動の話し合いがなされたかを、第₄章に記しています。話し合いは₃時間構成で実施されましたが、議論が白熱した第₁時の詳細な記録を掲載しました。話し合いでは、「朝遊びは『本当に』絆を深めることになっているか」の問いをきっかけに、児童たちは本音を語り始め、「絆を深めるどころか逆に学級内のスクールカーストを助長している」という痛烈な批判まで噴出しました。第₅章では守谷の総括、第₆章では田端の総括を記しています。児童たちの批判意識に一定の限界はあったものの、わたしたちが予想した以上に児童は、自分たちの現状を見つめ直し、批判的・創造的・ケア的思考で話し合いを展開し、自分たちの学校生活をより良いものにする意義深い討議になったと総括しました。わたしたちはこの実践の理念と方法を、「討議教育（デリバレイティブ・エドゥケーション）」として提案します。departmental bulletin pape
