Kurumsal sosyal sorumluluk çalışmalarında marka uyumu ve algılanan sosyal ikiyüzlülük

    No full text

What Is Neuroentrepreneurship? The Theoretical Framework, Critical Evaluation, And Research Program

    No full text
As interest in entrepreneurship research to identify the possible economic development opportunities that entrepreneurs can provide, entrepreneurship research's objective tools are reaching their limits. Researchers in entrepreneurship are striving to discover new techniques and methodologies to answer questions about what makes a person an entrepreneur and perhaps identify and encourage an entrepreneur in the next step. Although a great deal of research has been done to answer these questions scientifically, traditional techniques have failed to produce the desired answers. For this reason, researchers working in the entrepreneurship field have recently been increasingly interested in applying neuroscience methods, especially after the proliferation of research fields such as neuroeconomics, neuromarketing, and neuropolitics. Although the population of neuroentrepreneurship research is gradually increasing, we cannot say that the field has been studied theoretically enough yet. In this article, a theoretical definition of neuroentrepreneurship is made, and a scientific framework is tried to be gained on the way to future research.52126

The eventual maxime (concentration maxime), which develops as a reflection of the judicial culture and is one of the principles dominating the judiciary, stipulates the obligation of the parties to bring the material of the case up to a certain procedural section in order to complete the trial within a reasonable time. A complement to this obligation is the prohibition of expanding or changing the claim and defense. This prohibition covers the facts forming the subject of the claim and defense and the result of the request. In the period of the Abrogated Civil Procedure Law, the prohibition of expanding or changing the claim or defense, due to the prevailing rigid eventual maxime (concentration maxime), started with a petition for the plaintiff and a reply petition for the defendant. Article 141 of the Civil Procedure Law numbered 6100 has been put under provision by postponing this prohibition. Until the amendment was made by Law No. 7251, the extension or change of the claim and defense was possible at the preliminary examination stage until the petitions were submitted, but only if certain conditions were met. The legislator attached special importance to the preliminary examination hearing held at the preliminary examination stage, which is accepted as a new section in the trial with the Code of Civil Procedure. In order to ensure the participation of the parties to the preliminary examination hearing, it allowed the party who did not come to the hearing without an excuse, as a sanction order, to freely expand or change its claim or defense. With the amendment made in the provision related to Law No. 7251, it is no longer possible to expand or write down the claim and defense after the submission of the petitions. In his interrogation, it was argued that the fact that the party participating in the hearing changes and expands its claim or defense in the absence of the non-participating party is incompatible with the principle of equality of arms. The regulation on something else that would violate the right to a fair trial, albeit to encourage the participation of a preliminary examination stance, was abolished if one party had a more advantageous point than the other, simply because they attended the hearing. According to the current situation, the parties can freely expand and change their claims or defenses in the written trial procedure, response to response and second response petition. In the simple trial procedure, since the response to the answer and the second response petition are missing, the ban will start with the petition for the plaintiff and with the return of the reply petition for the defendant. By the way, let us state that if the defendant does not give a reply petition in the written trial procedure, since the plaintiff will not be able to respond to the response, the ban for the plaintiff will start with the lawsuit petition. The prohibition of expanding or changing the claim and defense within the scope of this communiqué will be addressed in the period before and after the entry into force of the Code of Civil Procedure, taking into account the amendment made by Law No 7251.Oca

Increasing number of choices and competition in the markets, force companies to differ in services they provide to their customers. Offering better services have a positive impact on customer loyalty, and to do so, companies should understand their customers’ interests and act accordingly. One popular method for this purpose is building recommendation engines to make personalized suggestions. In this project, collaborative filtering methods with implicit feedback are used to make recommendations to users of the Steam platform. The recommendation systems are built using two different matrix factorization techniques, Alternating Least Squares and Bayesian Personalized Ranking. Different models are created with implicit playtime data of the users and the results are evaluated by using Precision at k metric. Additionally, similar items that are offered by the models are analyzed. Results show that the models are considerably successful at finding personal choices and similar items. The best model finds the item in the libraries of 33% of the users

An examination of the effect of monetary expansion policies implemented by four large central banks after the 2008 global financial crisis and the COVID-19 crisis on developing countries on the example of Turkey

After 1980, financial markets took a share due to globalization trends in the world. In literature, many studies exist which show us that the financial crisis and financial globalizations started to appear more often than it did in the past. The market’s mood is reflected in the data when risks and incalculability increase in financial markets. Financial liberalization and the removal or significant reduction of inspections have increased the fragility of markets. A number of decisions were made and interfered with by many authorities after the financial crisis which was felt all around the world for a long time. Before the 2008 economic crisis price stability was a focus for central banks. However, the importance of financial stability came into prominence after the crisis. The negative effects of Covid-19 crisis, which was not originated from economic reasons at the same time, which created a supply and demand shock, were seen fast. Like in every crisis politicians interfered in order to reduce the effects of the crisis. The connection between the 2008 global financial crisis and Covid-19 crisis is the need to increase declining total demand. By the reason of reduced economic activity on a global scale, monetary and fiscal policies and inventions that increase economic activity have been involved. The concept of globalizations has multifaceted effects on developing countries. By the entering of funds into enhanced market economies, it helps developing countries to meet the need for financing that will provide economic growth and development, while reducing production and increasing dependence on external financing. With financial globalization direction and momentum of the movement of fund is changing according to countries’ macroeconomic appearance. Particularly development and decisions taken in countries like the United States and England, which have the right comment on world trade, have influenced all around the world. The policies implemented by these countries in times of crisis are closely followed by economic actors. In this study FED (Federal Reserve Bank), ECB (European Central Bank), BOJ (Bank of Japan), BOE (Bank of England), monetary easing policies implemented by central bank after the global crisis in 2008 and the Covid-19 crisis were examined and how developing countries are affected by these crisis and policies are discussed and the example of Turkey was examined

Array BP-XOR codes for hierarchically distributed matrix multiplication

    No full text
A novel fault-tolerant computation technique based on array Belief Propagation (BP)-decodable XOR (BP-XOR) codes is proposed for distributed matrix-matrix multiplication. The proposed scheme is shown to be configurable and suited for modern hierarchical compute architectures such as Graphical Processing Units (GPUs) equipped with multiple nodes, whereby each has many small independent processing units with increased core-to-core communications. The proposed scheme is shown to outperform a few of the well–known earlier strategies in terms of total end-to-end execution time while in presence of slow nodes, called stragglers. This performance advantage is due to the careful design of array codes which distributes the encoding operation over the cluster (slave) nodes at the expense of increased master-slave communication. An interesting trade-off between end-to-end latency and total communication cost is precisely described. In addition, to be able to address an identified problem of scaling stragglers, an asymptotic version of array BP-XOR codes based on projection geometry is proposed at the expense of some computation overhead. A thorough latency analysis is conducted for all schemes to demonstrate that the proposed scheme achieves order-optimal computation in both the sublinear as well as the linear regimes in the size of the computed product from an end-to-end delay perspective.WOS:0007578507000392-s2.0-85120854322Science Citation Index ExpandedArticleUluslararası işbirliği ile yapılmayan - HAYIRMartYÖK - 2021-22Aralı

Today, internet review sites are becoming a significant criterion for users’ consumption habits on products and services, while being vital source of feedback for businesses. This project aims to present quick feedback on whether consumers are satisfied with businesses’ product and services, lessen the allocation of resources on information extraction towards these reviews, and provide a more agile environment for businesses, by automatizing the extraction of the information “whether the sentiment towards the business service or product is positive or negative” from textual data. The problem, binary classification out of textual data, is addressed through Yelp Company reviews dataset. Yelp is an internet review website, it enables users to review products, services, and businesses. Alongside with the text formatted restaurant reviews, star-rating is converted to 1 (positive) and 0 (negative). These values are obtained to provide the target column to predict the sentiment of the review text. 100,000 restaurant review records are used in 4 different machine learning algorithms to predict the binary classification problem of predicting whether the review sentiment is positive or negative. 2 neural networks one with pre-trained GloVe, SVM, and Logistic Regression models are used, and the success of these models is compared using F1-Score as a performance metric. These results are presented in the paper

When analyzing a company that sells in very different product ranges, you are likely to encounter different types of customers. Grouping customers correctly can set standard actions while serving them. Standardization of marketing processes leads to speed and they are easy to improve. While making this classification, the KMeans algorithm was used in Machine Learning. Inertia and Silhouette Points values were used to find the most suitable cluster number. Principal Components Analysis (PCA) was used to show customers with multidimensional features in 2 dimensions

Untangling the relationship between internalized heterosexism and psychological intimate partner violence perpetration: A comparative study of lesbians and bisexual women in Turkey and Denmark

    No full text
Psychological intimate partner violence (IPV) perpetration is not limited to heterosexual relationships and can affect all genders and sexual orientations, including lesbians and bisexual women (LB) both in Denmark and Turkey. Internalized heterosexism might be one of the factors increasing the risk of LB's use of psychological IPV perpetration. However, it is still unclear how being LB in Turkey and Denmark interact in the internalized heterosexism and psychological IPV perpetration relationship. The current study, therefore, presents an investigation of (a) the prevalence of sexual orientation (LB) and country (Denmark and Turkey) differences in perpetrating psychological IPV and (b) the moderating roles of sexual orientation and country on the association between internalized heterosexism and psychological IPV perpetration. A sample of 449 LB from Denmark and Turkey completed the Lesbian Internalized Homophobia Scale and the Multidimensional Measure of Emotional Abuse Scale. The results of chi-square analyses indicated that LB from Turkey and bisexual women from both countries reported significantly higher psychological IPV perpetration. The results of moderation analyses revealed that country had direct effects on the use of psychological IPV perpetration. No moderation effects were found for both sexual orientation and country in three of the four types of psychological IPV perpetration. These findings suggest that LB are not an exception to the perpetration of IPV. Furthermore, the findings were discussed from the perspectives of intersectionality and minority stress.WOS:0006493497000012-s2.0-8510477371333876984Social Sciences Citation IndexArticle; Early AccessUluslararası işbirliği ile yapılan - EVETNisanYÖK - 2020-2
