Impact response of sandwich composites with P-Aramid (Kevlar®) waste fibre reinforcement
This work investigates the impact performance of sandwich composites made of polyurethane/p-aramid
(Kevlar®, K129) fibre waste/paper cardboard core and Kevlar® fabric edge wastes face materials.
Kevlar® waste fibres were added the core part at various weight ratios (2%, 5%, and 10%). Sandwich
composites were performed under 50J, 100J and 200J to compare their impact resistance. Impact tests
indicated that the addition of Kevlar® waste fibres increased the energy absorption capacities of
sandwich composites compared to neat core sandwich composites. However, they showed lower impact
force values due to distortion of cardboards during manufacturing of sandwich composites
Thermal water – more than water!
The use of thermal waters both for external use and for consumption is presented. Nowadays, the use of ecological products of natural origin is promoted, allowing for a significant improvement in the psycho-physical condition of users. Research is carried out to create natural products that comprehensively improve not only the condition of the skin, but the entire body of the user. Thanks to the development of modern technologies used both in cosmetics and other industries, it is possible to effectively use the composition and properties of thermal waters
TEWI 2021 (Technology, Education, Knowledge, Innovation)
Cover: Andrzejczak, JarosławThe monograph TEWI 2021 is a direct response to the demand of the industry,
which looks for research projects partners. On the one hand, the material submitted
for this monograph will give opportunity for the academic community to present
their competencies in the thematic areas of research they conduct. On the other
hand, the industry will stimulate the research development of academic staff by
outlining current and future areas in the field of modern technologies. The aim of
this monograph is to popularize research areas in:
1. technology (information technologies),
2. education (new methods and IT solutions implemented in education),
3. knowledge (practical applications of physics and mathematics in technical
sciences),
4. innovation (transfer of new ideas between science and business). [...
Estimation the Domain of Attraction for a System of Two Coupled Oscillators with Weak Damping
When solving a wide class of problems of nonlinear dynamics, the stability property
of a given system regime is a prerequisite for design. An important role is played by the
concept of the domain of attraction (DoA) of the equilibrium point (or limit cycle). However,
as a rule, this domain is difficult to find and describe in explicit form. Therefore, the search
for DoA estimate has been a fundamental problem in the control theory since the middle of
the last century. Currently, methods based on Lyapunov functions predominate in the literature.
We have studied the problem of obtaining the estimates of the DoA for equilibrium of
the mechanical systems. The method for using Lyapunov function of special kind for a system
with polynomial right-hand side to find the estimates for DoA is proposed. This procedure is
illustrated by the example of a mechanical system which consists of two coupled nonlinear
oscillators with weak damping
Characteristic forms of settlement in Špiš (Zamagurie Spišske) and their evolution from the Middle Ages to the 21st century
Na przestrzeni wieków Spisz był pod panowaniem różnych europejskich państw,
