    Managing Systems Based on Artificial Intelligence in Theory and in Practice

    This study presents the issues of managing systems based on artificial intelligence in theory and in practice based on actual cases. This article indicates selected problems related to the management of such systems based on artificial intelligence in the aspects of copyright, liability and the scope of regulations. The author will attempt to resolve the problem of how to interpret the most important issues related to the management of systems based on artificial intelligence in selected legal aspects. Based on the available statistics, conclusions from the issues discussed, available judgments and decisions of competent authorities in Poland and around the world will be the starting point for making an assessment in this area

    Flowable 2D textile structures for the production of thermoplastic 3D FRP parts with continuous fiber reinforcement between shell and rib

    Nature shows evolutionary fiber-reinforced solutions, e.g. a peanut shell that enables a high stiffness with extremely low component masses by using complex shell and rib arrangements. Lightweight shellshaped components made of fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) are often stiffened with ribs. In this work, a new method is proposed to produce directional fiber reinforcement in the transition area from shell to rib and within the rib by a direct thermal pressing process. Numerical calculations are initially used to demonstrate the potential of this type of structure. The source material is a flowable 2D textile hybrid structure consisting of continuous glass fibers and discontinuous recycled carbon fibers. The arrangement of the fibers leads to a defined flow movement of matrix and fibers and thus the production of a 3D FRP component with continuous fibers in the shell area and staple fiber-based reinforcement in the rib area and in between

    Hydrophobic and conductive cotton fabric with silver nanowires and silanes

    Hydrophobic and conductive cotton (CO) fabric was prepared by coating with silver nanowires (AgNWs) and mixture of two silanes: 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) and diethoxydimethylsilane (DEDMS). New functionalization method was developed in which the silanes mixture was applied to the previously deposited AgNWs layer. The AgNWs/silanes modified fabric showed hydrophobic properties. The water contact angle was 130 ± 1deg. The surface free energy was approximately 16 ± 1 mJ/m2, while for unmodified fabric it was 42 ± 1 mJ/m2. Unmodified fabric was nonconductive, the electrical surface (Rs) and volume (Rv) resistances was 3.9 x 1011 ± 3.4 x 1010 Ω and 2.2 x 1010 ± 1.7 x 109 Ω, respectively. After AgNWs/silanes modification it decreased to 7.5 x 102 ± 3.6 x 101 Ω and 7.0 x 102 ± 1.0 x 101 Ω, respectively.     W 2021 roku minęło 10 lat od przeprowadzonej inwestycji w postaci modernizacji oświetlenia ulicznego pod obszar ochrony ciemnego nieba w Sopotni Wielkiej. Mimo upływu lat jest to nadal jedyna miejscowość w Polsce, gdzie świadomie dokonano kompleksowych zmian w infrastrukturze oświetleniowej, redukując zanieczyszczenie światłem. W opracowaniu poruszono waloryzację podjętych działań na przestrzeni ww. lat z udziałem wybranych projektów dotacyjnych, realizowanych przez Stowarzyszenie POLARIS – OPP. Autorzy przedstawiają podjęte czynności w korelacji z wytycznymi, jakie musi spełnić społeczność ubiegająca się o tytuł IDSC do International Dark-Sky Association w USA. Zagadnienie wykracza jednak poza opracowaną w 2021 roku aplikację o ww. tytuł, powstałą w ramach projektu przy wsparciu programu ESC Komisji Europejskiej. Wnioski dotyczą korzyści płynących z podjętych działań, a także tego, z jakimi przeciwnościami muszą się mierzyć społeczności lokalne, zainteresowane czynną ochroną ciemnego nieba.In 2021, 10 years have passed since the full modernization of street lighting for the dark sky protection area in Sopotnia Wielka. After many years, it is still the only place in Poland where comprehensive changes have been made in the lighting infrastructure, effectively reducing light pollution. The study presents the issue of valorizing the activities undertaken over the past few years with selected grant projects implemented by POLARIS – OPP Association. The authors present actions taken in correlation with the guidelines that must be met by the community applying for the IDSC title to the International Dark-Sky Association. However, the issue goes beyond the application developed in 2021 for the above-mentioned title, which was done as part of the project with the support of the ESC program of the European Commission. The conclusions concern the benefits of the actions taken, as well as the obstacles that local communities interested in active dark-sky protection have to face

    This article presents current knowledge about swallowing difficulties (dysphagia), its epidemiology and characteristics. The author will analyse dysphagia risk factors and describe the common pathomechanism of dysphagia and dysphonia. So far, parameters of voice analysis in its significant conditions have not yet been clearly identified. Literature about this issue is also limited.
