    Children's Cognitive Disabilities in Ratio Concepts

    P(論文)The purpose of this study was to examine children's difiiculty of identifying underlying components in ratio problems. One hundred and forty nine fifth graders solved three problems of ratio concepts. Three ratio word problems composed of the first term of proportion (p=a÷b;p:proportion, a:quantity to be compared, b@base quantity) , the second term of proportion (b*p=a), the third term of proportion (b=a÷p). As results, it was very difficult for children to solve correctly the first term of proportion, the second term of proprotion, and the third term of proportion, Furthermore, strategies showed that the most frequently selected equation was small number ÷ bigger number in the first term of proportion, in the term of proportion most of children selected division type although the correct equation was multiplication, and in the third term of proportion almost all of children selecte multiplication type. These results suggested that children's difficulties of identigying omponents was one of the main factors related the difficulty of ratio problems.departmental bulletin pape

We have to verify about the following; 1. The effenctiveness of the group care unit into nursing homes which are not being designed so that the aged can live in a group. 2. A method of artition a rom and the area of bedrooms; because it is doubtful whither the effectiveness of the group care unit on the condition that no private space exists in nuresing homes. #. How to use of the living room that have been prepared in a corridor or a dibided large dayroom.     Training volunteers as advisors for victims of family (III) : A development of the method in the empowerment exercise, and evaluation measurement.

    P(論文)The present study examined the effect of participant's empowerment in the cultivation course for volunteer staff. According to self-evaluation assessment submitted by the participants after the course, most participants significhantly improved their empowerment and provided accurate goal setting and approach for volunteers organisation. As a part of ourse session, mutual exchange of participants and teachers in group discussion was also positively assenssed that led the participants to increase activity and awareness of diverse values. Thus, the teaching mehod facilitaiting participant's empowerment need to be developed and included in the training coureseof social worker.departmental bulletin pape

    P(論文)本研究では、芸術による経済的・社会的影響について行われた最近の研究を比較・吟味し、芸術が地域社会に与える影響について考察を進める。芸術がもたらす経済的効果についての主要な複数の研究に新たな考察を加えるとともに、イギリスで進めたれた、芸術が社会に及ぼす影響についての代表的な研究を取り上げ、理論の再検証を試みる。経済的影響についての先行研究は芸術への公共支援をめぐる議論の中で進められてきたが、一般的な実用性について支出の測定に基づく議論のみが展開されいてるに過ぎず、芸術の無形価値についてはほとんど言及されていない。経済的影響についての研究と社会的影響についての研究を対比考察することにより、芸術および芸術に関連するイベントは地域社会の幸福とその発展のためにきわめて重要な役割を果たすと考えられる。This paper reviews recent studies on the economic and social impact of the arts, especially the impact on communities. Findings from several representative economic impacts studies are included. Also included is a review of a major British study of social impact of the arts. Critics of economic impact studies have noted that intangible value of the arts would five better support than measures of spending. Contrasting the economic and social impact studies indicates that the arts and art-related events play a vital role in community development.departmental bulletin pape

    Historical Studies on the Origins of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Hyuga(Miyazaki) (Part1) : Kitsumon AKIZUKI and His Achievements

    P(論文)The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kyushu University of Health and Welfare located in Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture wa founded in April, 2003. This place (Nobeoka) wa famous to be called Himuka(Hyuga), an ancient name, since several handred years ago. Himuka is still used in the historical and sightseeing books. However, it was no reasons why the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences did start at this place, Nobeoka. So, we searched all over the place(Himuka) for some people related to Pharmaceuticla Sciences. As results, Kitsumon AKIZUKI(1989-1981) who lived in Nobeoka during Edo period was picked out among several persons. Although he stayed in Nobeoka only for two years, he had done many great things concerned tin the education, medicine, botany, herbalism, philology and political events. Especially, Kitsumon AKIZUKI invited Hika KAKU, a famous herbalist, from Azimu, Usa (Oita prefecture) and let him investigate and herborize the local herbs near Nobeoka. This paper deals with Kitsumon AKIZUKI and his achievement in his life.departmental bulletin pape
