The current state of affairs of school social work in regional towns.
No full textP(論文)In this paper I will review how the Ministry of Education has put school social workers into practical use in Miyazaki Prefecture since 2008 and show how the prefecture has worked on the project thus far. Then some challenges that the ministry has faced will be pointed out and several solutions and how to carry them out will be proposed. Currently school teachers are too busy and this fact leads to various problems occurring. With this in mind, it will be suggested that the introduction of volunteers into schools as part of a development of societal resources can help eliminate manpower shortages. As a specific example of this, the introduction of a volunteer group of local company retirees into one particular junior high school allowed school teachers there to be able to concentrate more on their daily duties.departmental bulletin pape

A study on the rehabilitations to promote the quality of life in the elderly with dementia.
No full textP(論文)This study investigates the effects of the rehabilitations that would promote the Quality of Life in the elderly with dementia. The salivary amylase activity and communications activity indicated that music therapy significantly diminished the stress level and increased verbal communication of the participant. Although dementia had kept developing, she seemed to enjoy therapy sessions. The results suggested that music therapy could decrease the stress and promote the Quality of Life in the elderly with dementia.departmental bulletin pape

On the other hand, child abuse has become more intensified and problems related to child poverty have become a serious issue. In this paper, it is argued that the current child-nurturing support is not effective for those children who experience child abuse and the disadvantages of poverty. The conclusion is that the current child-nurturing support does not secure the well-being of all children. Through examining problems of the current child-nurturing support program, it is argued that the child-nurturing support should aim to secure the life and growth of child.departmental bulletin pape
Distribution of muscle pain after the short term skiing
No full textP(論文)Purpose : The distribution of muscle pain after skiing has not been reported. We planned a short term tour of skiing in Gokase Highland ski area in Miyazaki and investigated the distribution of muscle pain after skiing. Methods : Twenty three subjects (10 male, 13 female) participated in the 2 days skiing. Nine subjects were beginners, 14 subjects had experiences of skiing. After the ski tour, the muscle pain was recorded using a sheet. Results and Discussion : The appearance of muscle pain in an upper arm in the beginner group was higher than the other group. The appearance of muscle pain in a thigh was lower in the beginner group. In general, we know that the muscle pain occurs in the front of thigh after skiing. Snowplow tur "Pflughbogen", often used in a beginner, may occur the muscle pain in a thigh. In this study, the subjects who had experiences of skiing might ski by Snowplow turn.departmental bulletin pape
Effects of UV-B irradiation on the stability of amino acids and peptides.
No full textP(論文)紫外線は様々な生体分子に影響を与えることが知られている.今回,我々はUV-B紫外線に対するアミノ酸およびペプチドの安定性を調べた.15種類のペプチドにUV-Bを照射した実験結果から,Trp, His, Met, Phe, Tyrの5種類のアミノ酸を含むペプチドの安定性が低いことがわかった.アミノ酸およびペプチドの安定性は共存するアミノ酸の有無で大きく変化することも明らかになった.Metは共存するアミノ酸があるときのみUV-B照射で減少し,αAクリスタリンを構成するペプチド断片は,タンパク質に紫外線を照射したときに容易に分解した.これらの結果は紫外線を吸収しやすいアミノ酸が他のアミノ酸やペプチド断片の安定性に影響を与えていることを示唆している.Ultraviolet (UV) light has been reported to influence on various biological components. In this study, we examined the stability of amino acids and peptides against the irradiation of UV-B, the light with 320-400 nm wavelength range. The experiments using 15 types of peptides suggested that the peptides containing five amino acids, Trp, His, Met, Phe, and Tyr were easily reduced by UV-B irradiation. Both stabilities of amino acid and peptide against UV-B irradiation were differed by the presence of coexistent of other amino acids. The amino acid, Met was drastically reduced by UV-B irradiation only in the case of coexistent of other amino acids, and the peptides located in the ��Acrystallin protein also were easily degraded by the irradiation. These results may suggest that amino acids, which easily absorb UV light, had an effect on the stabilities of other amino acid and some peptide fragments.departmental bulletin pape
