    Change for Nursing Students on the Concept of Children and learning by Infants Health Checkup Training

    P(論文)本研究は乳幼児健康診査実習で学生が捉えた健診での学びと,実習前後の子ども観の変化を明らかにすることを目的とした.4年看護学生60人を1グループ4人~5人とし,13会場で実習を行った.実習前と後に子ども観を表す形容詞対20項目を無記名自記式質問紙により調査した.さらに,実習後に健診の学びを自由記載した.実習前後の子ども観についてMann−Whitney u検定を行った結果,7項目に有意な関連を認めた.学生が健診で捉えた子ども観は,【子どもの姿】【子どもの観方・理解】の2カテゴリーに,健診の学びは【健診の役割】【健診の構造】【支援者の資質】の3カテゴリーに分類された.これらから,乳幼児健診実習後に学生の子ども観は好意的に変化し,学生は子どもを身体的・精神的・社会的な3側面で捉え,健診の役割,過程,支援者に求められる資質に気づいていた.The purpose of the present study was to clarify what students learn through practical infant health examination and changes in their views on children before and after the training. A total of 60 fourth-year nursing students were divided into groups of 4-5 students and were made to undergo training at 13 different venues. The students were surveyed using an anonymous self-recorded questionnaire consisting of 20 items of paired adjectives expressing students’ views on the children before and after the training. Before and after training, students’ views on the children were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test, and a significant relationship was observed for seven items. In health examinations, the students’ view with respect to the children was classified into two categories: “the child’s appearance” and “the child’s perception and understanding, ”while learning in health examinations was classified into three categories“: the role of health examinations,“ ”health examination structure,” and “supporter quality.” On the basis of these results, we found that students’ views with respect to the children favorably changed after infant health examination training. Students perceived the children according to physical, psychological, and social aspects. Students also observed the role and the process of health examinations and the qualities required in the supporters.departmental bulletin pape

    About the activity of the wildlife education program of 2016 year.

    P(論文)At Department of Animal Pharmaceutical Science, we started wildlife education program in FY 2016. In the first half of the year, we conducted a survey method explanation and field survey of mammals, birds, loggerhead turtles etc. In the second half we conducted literature surveys and presentations by students on the theme "About Conservation". As far as the results of the questionnaire are seen, the satisfaction of the students was high, and there were many students who wished to continue the program even from next fiscal year.departmental bulletin pape

    An exploratory study on map reading in the subway station yard

    P(論文)The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between performance on map reading in the subway station yard and sense of direction. METHODS: The participants were 28 (16 males and 12 females) undergraduate students, and they were divided into two groups (poor sense of direction group and good sense of direction group) using the Sense of Direction Questionnaire-Short Form (Takeuchi, 1992). In the experiment, the participants were required to read a map at Minamimorimachi station, and to travel from a starting point to a goal. RESULTS: The proportion of arrival to a goal in the good sense of direction group was higher than it was in the poor sense of direction group. Additionally, the time required to read a map in the good sense of direction group was shorter than it was in the poor sense of direction group. However, there were no differences in the time required to travel to a goal and number of times the participants stopped on the way to a goal. CONCLUSIONS : The results suggest that, the ability to read a map correctly and to travel from a starting point to a goal is affected by the individual’s sense of direction.departmental bulletin pape

    九州保健福祉大学博士(保健科学)平成28年度[Purpose] The study was designed to compare the appearance time of the ventilatory threshold (VT) point and the electromyographic threshold (EMGT) as manifested by a non-linear increase in the activity of muscles contributed to pedaling during ramp cycling exercise. [Methods] Ten healthy young males (21.7±0.5 years) and eleven community dwelling elderly males (67.7±3.2 years) participated in this study. Subjects performed cardio-pulmonary exercise testing with an expiratory gas analyzer and surface electromyography to evaluate the tested muscle activities during ramp exercise. The examined muscles were quadriceps femoris muscles such as the vastus lateralis (VL) and the rectus femoris (RF) in the young group while the biceps femoris long head (BF) and gastrocnemius lateral head (GL) which antagonist muscles of quadriceps femoris were added in the elderly group. As a statistical analysis, pre and post slope values were compared in each muscle to verify the validity of the calculated EMGT. Next, the EMGT appearance time which verify their validity and the VT point time. Each EMGT time was expressed relative to the VT point time (with the VT point considered 100%). For all tests, a p value <0.05 was considered statistical significant. [Results]In the young group, the increase in the slope of regression line for VL (pre slope: mean 0.072±standard deviation 0.082, post slope: 0.236±0.266, p<0.01) and RF (pre slope: 0.015±0.013, post slope: 0.119±0.110, p<0.01) were significantly increased after EMGT. The EMGT appearance times for VL (129.5 ± 28.2%, p<0.05) and RF (132.8 ± 28.8%, p<0.05) were later than the VT point (100%). In the elderly group, the increase in the slope of the regression line for VL was significantly decreased after EMGT (pre slope: median 0.071 (interquartile rage: 0.049), post slope: 0.030 (0.021), p<0.01) while BF (pre slope: 0.003 (0.002), post slope: 0.937 (0.098), p<0.01) and GL (pre slope: 0.001 (0.001), post slope: 1.118 (0.249), p<0.01) were increased. The EMGT for RF was not valid because the slope after EMGT was not significant as compared to that before EMGT (pre slope: 0.007 (0.009), post slope: 0.009 (0.017)). The EMGT appearance times for VL (54.2 ± 20.9%, p<0.0001) and GL (68.4 ± 26.2%, p<0.05) were significantly earlier than the VT point (100%). There were not different in the EMGT appearance times among three muscles. [Conclusions] These results suggest that the increase in the slope of the regression line after EMGT for VL was blunted, possibly indicating delayed muscular fatigue in VL as agonist of pedaling resulting from the activation of BF and GL as biarticular antagonists. This recruitment pattern might be an elderly-specific strategy. The appearance of the EMGT for BF as observed in elderly males may be useful as an index of optimal intensity of aerobic exercise for bicycle ergometry.doctoral thesi

    A study on “Home economics education/training needs” in education at training school for certified care-workers and training for care-worker: From research to certified care-workers in six types of facilities

    P(論文)本研究では,介護福祉士が現在の仕事に「役立つ」と感じる有用な家政内容を「家政教育・研修ニーズ」とし,それを把握することで介護福祉教育(介護福祉士養成校での教育)と介護研修(介護現場での研修)の連携のあり方を明らかにすることを目的とした.質問票調査回答者のうち介護老人福祉施設109人,介護老人保健施設117人,認知症グループホーム69人,訪問介護137人,通所介護94人,通所リハ137人を分析対象とし,家政内容67項目の役立ち度を4段階で評価した.その結果,①事故・災害防止策や室内環境整備,加齢・障害・疾病に応じた栄養・調理の内容は共通して高い,②施設・事業所の特性によって異なる内容は調理知識・技術系,住居管理系,被服管理・技術系に分けられる,③養成校卒業者も介護福祉教育や介護研修で家政を学ぶ必要性を高く認識する傾向が判明した.以上を踏まえ,介護福祉士に必要な家政内容を養成校と介護現場の双方が周知し,介護福祉教育と介護研修が連動する中で継続的・段階的に学べる体制の必要性が示唆された.The study aims to clarify how a cooperation should be established between education at training school for certified care-workers and training for care-workers while certified care-workers experiences and comprehends the contents of effectibe household management in the job as “Home economics education/training needs”. Among the respondents for the questionnaire surbey, the study evaluated 67 household items with 4 useful levels by targeting 109 respondents at nursing care homes for elderly, 117 respondents at longterm care health facilities. 69 respondents at group home for elderly with dementia, 137 respondents for home-visit nursing care, 94 respondents for elderly day-service, and 137 respondents for elderly day-care as analytic subjects. As the result, the study found that ① Common to be a high level in accident/disaster prevention, indoor environment maintenance, and nutrition/cooking in accordance with aging/disability/sickness, ②Possible categorization for different contents by the characteristic of facility/business establishment such as cooking knowledge/technical related items, housing management related items, and clothing management/technical related items, and ③Even graduates from training school are more likely to highly recognize the need for learning household management throuth education at training school for certified care-workers and training for care-workers. With the consideration of the above, it is suggested that a continuous/phased learning system will be necessary while both training school and nursing care workplace understand necessary household contents, and education at training school for certified careworkers and training for care-workers work closely together.departmental bulletin pape

    Effects of Cinnamomi Cortex on the production of allergic and inflammatory mediators in RBL-2H3 and RAW264 cells

    P(論文)桂皮(ケイヒ)は日本薬局方に収載される生薬で,抗アレルギーや解熱鎮痛炎症薬とみなされる漢方処方に配剤される.我々はケイヒの抗アレルギー作用および抗炎症作用について調査し,活性成分の同定を行った.ケイヒを70%メタノールで抽出し(Cin70M),シリカゲルカラムクロマトグラフィー(CC)およびオクタデシルシリルCCを用いて成分を分離した.分離した画分はin vitroでの実験としてラット好塩基球性白血病細胞株(RBL-2H3)およびマウスマクロファージ細胞株(RAW264)を用い,それらが産生するサイトカインmRNAの発現率によって抗アレルギーおよび抗炎症活性を示す画分を明らかにした.また,抗アレルギー作用においては,RBL-2H3の脱顆粒率を測定するために細胞培養液中のβ - ヘキソサミニダーゼも測定した.Cin70Mとシンナムアルデヒド(CNMA)はRBL-2H3細胞における脱顆粒およびインターロイキンのmRNA発現を阻害した.CNMAは300μMで脱顆粒を抑制し,その抑制作用はポジティブコントロールとして用いたケトチフェンより僅かに強かった.同様にCin70MとCNMA はRAW264が産生した一酸化窒素(NO)および炎症性サイトカインmRNA発現を抑制した.特にNO産生についてはCNMA 100μMで10μMのデキサメタゾンと同等の抑制作用を示した.ケイヒの特徴である甘い味と芳香は明らかにした活性成分の一つであるCNMAに由来する.今回の結果から,アレルギー疾患や炎症性疾患の患者に対し,ケイヒを含む漢方薬が処方された際には甘い味と芳香が強いケイヒを選んだ方が良いことが示された.Cinnamomi Cortex (cinnamon bark) is a major crude drug. In Japan, it is used in Kampo medicine to treat allergic and inflammatory diseases. In this study, we examined the anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effects of Cinnamomi Cortex and attempted to identify its active components. Cinnamomi Cortex was extracted with 70% methanol (Cin70M) and separated into fractions via silica gel column chromatography (CC) or octadecylsilan (ODS) CC. In order to select fractions that have anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory activities, we evaluated the ability of the fractions to inhibit the expression of cytokine genes in vitro by using a rat basophilic leukemia (RBL-2H3) cell line and mouse macrophage (RAW264) cell line. Gene expression levels were assessed in both cell lines by using semi-quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), and the RBL-2H3 degranulation ratio was quantified via ???? - hexosaminidase assay. Cin70M and cinnamaldehyde (CNMA) inhibited degranulation and the mRNA expression of interleukins in RBL-2H3 cells. CNMA inhibited degranulation at 300 ????M, and its inhibitory effects were slightly stronger than those of ketotifen which is a typical anti-allergic drug. In RAW264 cells, nitric oxide (NO) production and the mRNA expression of inflammatory cytokines were reduced by Cin70M and CNMA. In the NO production assay, 100 ????M CNMA was found to significantly decrease NO production from activated RAW264 cells, and its activity was the same as that of 10 ????M dexamethasone. The taste and scent of Cinnamomi Cortex were both attributed to CNMA. The results of the present study indicate that it is more beneficial for patients with allergic and/or inflammatory diseases to use Cinnamomi Cortex with a strong taste and scent.departmental bulletin pape

    一般化線形混合モデルを用いた新たなバンコマイシンの初期投与設計

    九州保健福祉大学博士(医療薬学 Doctor of Clinical Pharmacy)平成29年度Background: When administering vancomycin hydrochloride (VCM), the initial dose is adjusted to ensure that the steady-state trough value (Css-trough) remains within the effective concentration range. However, the Css-trough (population mean method predicted value [PMMPV]) calculated using the population mean method (PMM) often deviate from the effective concentration range. In this study, we used the generalized linear mixed model (GLMM) for initial dose planning to create a model that accurately predicts Css-trough, and subsequently assessed its prediction accuracy. Methods: The study included 46 subjects whose trough values were measured after receiving VCM. We calculated the Css-trough (Bayesian estimate predicted value [BEPV]) from the Bayesian estimates of trough values. Using the patients’ medical data, we created models that predict the BEPV and selected the model with minimum information criterion (GLMM best model). We then calculated the Css-trough (GLMMPV) from the GLMM best model and compared the BEPV correlation with GLMMPV and with PMMPV. Results: The GLMM best model was {[0.977 + (males: 0.029 or females: -0.081)] × PMMPV + 0.101 × BUN/adjusted SCr – 12.899 × SCr adjusted amount}. The coefficients of determination for BEPV/GLMMPV and BEPV/PMMPV were 0.623 and 0.513, respectively.     Analysis of the salivary levels of immune biomarkers after inhalation of a steam mixed gas containing hydrogen gas

    P(論文)スイソニアから発生する水素ガス(濃度0.1~0.3%)を含む蒸気混合ガス“XEN”を鼻カニューラで吸入した。吸入後、唾液中の免疫バイオマーカーの動態を酵素抗体法(enzyme immunoassay:EIA)で解析した。その結果、“XEN”吸入15分後、唾液中のインターロイキン-1β(IL-1β)の濃度が吸入前と比較して有意に増加した(P<0.01)。一方、唾液中の可溶性CD44分子(sCD44)は吸入前後で有意な差は認められなかった。以上の結果は、“XEN”が鼻粘膜免疫系を活性化し、生体の免疫力を増強させる作用があることを示唆するものである。In this preliminary study, we examined the effects of inhalation of a steam mixed gas containing hydrogen gas on the salivary levels of immune biomarkers, especially interleukin-1????and soluble-form CD44, in healthy adult volunteers. This gas was generated by the decomposition of superheated steam using a machine (Suisonia) manufactured by Earth Engineering Co., and was designated as“XEN”in our laboratory. The salivary levels of interleukin-1????and soluble-form CD44 were measured by enzyme immunoassay 15 min after the subjects had inhaled “XEN” via a nasal cannula. The results revealed a significant increase in salivary interleukin-1????levels (P < 0.01), but no significant change (P = 0.093) in salivary soluble-form CD44 levels at 15 min after“XEN”inhalation, compared to the values measured before inhalation. These findings indicate that “XEN”rapidly induces salivary interleukin-1????secretion and that elevated salivary interleukin-1????levels after“XEN”inhalation may reflect the activation of both natural and acquired immune responses in the living body.departmental bulletin pape
