Current status and problems of cooperation between facilities regarding the life history of the elderly with dementia

P(論文)In this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey targeting 576 facility staff in charge of hospitals focusing on admission cooperation between facilities regarding the life history of the elderly with dementia. We concluded that there was no cooperation between facilities for information only limited to life history due mainly to “Not enough time.”, “Private contents.”, “Insufficient amount/contents of information.”, and “inadequacy of the recording paper.”. As a result of these problems, the following items should be added to the assessment sheet: (1) preparation of the assessment sheet, (2) guidance manual to enhance cooperation between facilities, and (3) a“ self-record notebook” written by an elderly person himself/herself.departmental bulletin pape

The effectiveness of programmed childcare using a voice level scale for children at risk of developmental disabilities : From the perspective of childcare consultations

    Get PDF
P(論文)As part of support through childcare itinerant consultations concerning a 5-year and 7-month-old child at risk of a developmental disability, programmed childcare using a voice level scale was implemented and its effectiveness was tested. Childcare itinerant consultants and childcare workers jointly created a childcare support plan. In the plan, a priority issue for the child was to be able to make voice volume adjustments according to the rules for group situations. To achieve this, individual and group instructions were given using the scale as part of programmed childcare. When creating and applying the voice level scale, efforts were taken to reflect the simultaneous cognitive processing style in which the child was adept. A childcare worker rated the child’s voice volume control for each instruction and regular childcare situation. At the end of one series of instructions, the childcare worker was asked about behavior modification of the child and the other children. When prompted by the childcare worker and other children, the child was able to make voice volume adjustments to match each situation in a group activity according to the rules. In light of this finding and in anticipation of the child’s upcoming entry to school, we discuss the effectiveness of the programmed childcare based on the childcare support plan and ideal methods of childcare consultations.departmental bulletin pape

Introduction of the Moral Education Course as a Subject of Instruction in the Curriculum of Primary and Lower-Secondary Schools : Questions and Solutions

    Get PDF
P(論文)Recently, moral education as a subject of instruction has been introduced in the curriculum of primary and lower-secondary schools. In pre-war schools, moral education, as a main subject, played a decisive role in inculcating people with extreme nationalism and militarism. After the war, the popular thought was that moral education should be implemented through all school activities, but not as a separate subject of instruction, although a school hour of moral education had been set aside. Therefore, it is feared that the re-introduction of the moral education course as a subject of instruction will lead to the same consequences as in the pre-war period. To implement significant moral education without forcing specific moral values on children, the following points should be taken into consideration. First, moral education courses should allow teachers to freely create their own syllabuses and allow children to freely criticize what they are taught. Second, it should teach children moral literacy, which will help them identify the moral values in their lives by themselves. Third, it should introduce children to questions and free them to find the answers. In this way, we must realize, or attempt to realize, the values that the moral education course intends to teach children in school life.departmental bulletin pape

Effects of Caffeic Acid Esters Isolated from Propolis on Ganglioside GD3 Monolayers

P(論文)The distribution of benzyl caffeate (BC), cinnamyl caffeate (CC) and phenethyl caffeate (PC) isolated from propolis in mixed dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC)/ganglioside GD3 (GD3) monolayer as a model of a tumor membrane, and the effects of the caffeic acid esters on the mixed DPPC/GD3 monolayer were observed by atomic force microscopy (AFM). BC distributed in the mixed DPPC/GD3 monolayer formed a clear percolation pattern. The effect of BC on the mixed DPPC/GD3 membrane was similar to those of known antitumor compounds, suggesting that BC might possess antitumor activity. The effect of PC on the mixed monolayer seems to be weaker than that of BC; however, on GD3 alone monolayer, the effect was similar to that of BC. It was suggested that the molecular size of the caffeic acid esters affected their activity on the mixed DPPC/GD3 monolayer.departmental bulletin pape

In this study, we focused on care practice instructor with'A lack of confidence'and identified the content, factor, and improvement in a training program where the instructors actually indicated'A lack of confidence'in care practice instruction. As the result of text mining analysis with use of KH Coder for the interview survey targeting 20 instructors, the study found that young less-experienced instructors seemed to have a lack of confidence for instructions on the practice record or teaching method for students and also tended to show a desire to take a training program to compensate for such shortcomings. The study also found that a training program for care practice guidance at each workplace was not implemented and'A lack of confidence'was developed due to the mutually-related issues among ①Students, ②Instructor, and ③workplace organization; particularly the issues were strongly related to ②③ compared to ①②. While the issues for students and instructors in care practice were more likely to be reported, it was suggested that an improvement on care practice guidance system in workplace organization. For future, in addition to Enhancement of practical education under assumption of actual practice situations, there would be other issues such as Introduction of training program for care practice guidance at workplace, Reduction of difference in awareness, knowledge, and technique among the staff, Promotion for a collaboration between a training school and a care site, and Specific modeling system for contents/methods of care practice guidance..departmental bulletin pape
