Grammatical Error Analysis Of Written English Compositions Produced By First Grade Of Islamic Banking Student Of Stain Syaikh Abdurrahman Siddik Bangka Belitung In Academic Year 2017
Get PDFThis final project primarily deals with grammatical error analysis of 26 English compositions written by first grade Islamic Banking student of Islamic State Collage (STAIN) Syaikh Abdurrahman Siddik Bangka Belitung in academic year 2017. The instrument used for this study was participants’ written composition in English language. All of the errors in these compositions were identified and classified into different categorizations. The results show that the students in this study committed fifteen errors. These errors are S-V agreement (17%), capitalization (15%), article (9.1%), punctuation (7.7%), omission/addition of to be (6.2%), word choice (5.1%), gerund/infinitive (7%), plurality (5.1%), verb tense (11.7%), modal (2.5%), pronoun (3.3%), preposition (4.4%), negative (3.3%), and sentence fragment (7.2%). There is the hope that the paper helps English teachers to become familiar with the most frequent errors committed by students and to adopt appropriate teaching strategies to help the learners learn better

Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Student Teams achievement Divisions (STAD) untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPA Biologi Siswa Kelas VII.1 SMP Negeri 6 Dumai
Get PDFThe research focused on the implementation of cooperative learning student team’s achievement division (STAD) to improve students’ achievement in biology science of seventh grade at SMPN 6 Dumai. The research was conducted on August up to December 2015. The subject of the research was seventh grade students at SMPN 6 Dumai. There was 35 respondents included 15 males and 20 females. The research finding showed that the average absorption of students in daily test in first cycle is 68,6 (enough), on second cycle is increased 78,3 (good). The students’ learning completeness in first cycle was 74,3% and the second cycle was 97,1%. The average of students’ activity in first cycle is 90% (good) and second cycle is 100% (very good). Based on the finding, it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model student teams achievement division (STAD) can improve biology science students in learning outcomes of seventh grade at SMPN 6 Dumai.___________________Keywords: Teaching Creativities, Student Team’s Achievement Division

Penerapan Metode Eksperimen Pada Materi Elastisitas Sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Prestasi Belajar Fisika Siswa Kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 3 Bengkalis
Get PDFThe action research focused on using experiment method to improve students’ achievement on physics. Experimental Learning method is a way of teaching and learning that involves students experiencing and proving themselves into process of the experimental results. The experiment is expected students’ able to understand the concept of physics. The research was done to know the low physics learning achievement shown by the physics learning outcomes. The study consist two cycles, in each cycle consisting of 4 stages, namely Planning, Implementation, Observation and Reflection. This study involved 22 students of eleventh grade of SMAN 3 Bengkalis. There were 11 males and 11 females. Before implementing the experimental method, the percentage of learning completenes was 13,64%, then after the first cycle was carried out using the experimental method, the students’ learning completenes increase into 54,55%. In the second cycle succeeded in achieving the percentage of learning completenes 81,82%. The finding showed that there was improvement on students learning achivement using experimental method. It means that the experimental method can improve students’ achievement on physics of eleventh grade at SMAN 3 Bengkalis.___________________Keywords: Experimental Method, Physics Learning Outcom
