Cupules looks like bowl-shaped or shallow hollows that have been probably pecked, pounded or ground into the rock surface. The exact function of cupules is unclear, yet it has been supposed that cupules could have symbolic or ceremonial functions. While the surface of rock has been over eroded by the effects of weather over the time, its structure displays some signs of percussion, such as crushed particles, and surface bruising.
