A Multimodal Discourse Analysis of Visual Representation in English Language Textbooks at the Elementary Level: A Social Semiotic Perspective
Textbooks serve as a significant and comprehensive resource for language learners. This study focuses on a Multimodal Discourse Analysis of Visual Representations found in English Language Textbooks, employing a Visual Social Semiotic Perspective. Utilizing the framework established by Kress & van Leeuwen (2020), which comprises Representational, Interactional, and Compositional modes, this research investigates the multimodal elements present within these textbooks to assess their role in enhancing comprehension through visuals. Adopting a qualitative descriptive methodology, the study analyzes a purposively selected sample of 158 images from elementary school textbooks. The findings reveal a disproportionate representation of males compared to females across the images, with non-human elements also appearing frequently. The data indicate that conceptual meaning is most predominant, where the symbolic category of meaning plays a critical role. In terms of the interactional mode, the analysis shows a greater prevalence of ‘offer’ images as opposed to ‘demand’ images, with a notable medium social distance. Furthermore, the attitudes conveyed through these images are characterized by horizontal frontal and vertical eye-level angles, which are more prominent. The color modality and contextualization in 6th and 8th-grade textbooks exhibit maximal values, while the 7th-grade textbooks reflect moderate modality values. The compositional mode reveals that the center-margin information value is the most significant, with salient framing types indicating integrated connections and disconnections through separation. In conclusion, the study highlights that incorporating visual images and multiple modes, alongside textual components, significantly contributes to language learning. This multimodal approach enhances the meaning-construction capabilities of language learners, underscoring the vital role that textbooks play in educational contexts

Sosial medianın yüksəlişi ilə şirkətlər istehlakçılarla birbaşa və interaktiv əlaqə qurmaq imkanı əldə etmiş, bu da brend bilinirliyini, müştəri sədaqətini və satışları artırmaq üçün yeni imkanlar yaratmışdır. Mebel sektoru kimi vizual estetikaya əsaslanan sənayelərdə Instagram kimi platformalar xüsusi əhəmiyyət kəsb edir, çünki məhsulların təqdimatında vizual təsir və emosional bağlılıq mühüm rol oynayır. Bu kontekstdə, mebel şirkətlərinin Instagram-da istifadə etdikləri mesaj strategiyalarının istehlakçı reaksiyalarına təsiri mühüm tədqiqat mövzusudur.Tədqiqat mebel şirkətlərinə Instagram-da effektiv marketinq strategiyaları qurmaq üçün konkret təkliflər təqdim edir. Təkliflər mesaj strategiyalarının diversifikasiyası, video məzmunun artırılması, interaktiv elementlərin tətbiqi və açar sözlərin optimallaşdırılması kimi sahələri əhatə edir. Bu, xüsusilə yerli brendlər üçün rəqabət üstünlüyü qazanmaq və qlobal brendlər üçün regional bazarlara uyğunlaşmaq baxımından dəyərlidir

Since the 2020 Karabakh War, the South Caucasus Changed Significantly – To the Better
President Donald Trump frequently highlights that his administration has resolved seven conflicts since taking office
in January. Among them, he includes the Armenia–Azerbaijan dispute. On August 8, the leaders of the two South
Caucasus states signed a landmark declaration at the White House in the presence of President Trump.1) All three
leaders hailed the event as a peace agreement that ended the decades-long confrontation. President Ilham Aliyev of
Azerbaijan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia initialed a peace treaty, pledged to sign it in the near future,
and agreed to reopen transport links between their countries
Study of Ecotoxicants in Environmental Objects Contaminated by Mining Industry Wastewater
A research study was conducted on Okchuchay, which was polluted with ecotoxic
compounds. In order to investigate their pollution with pollutants, the upper, middle
and lower reaches of the river were compared. Their decrease is observed from
upstream to downstream. But there has been an increase over time and this is related
with water streams and other factors

Supervisor: Dr. Vasif Huseynov MaharramThe purpose of this study is a comprehensive theoretical and analytical analysis of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran from 2001 to 2025 through the prism of neoclassical realism and constructivism. The study aims to explain the transformation of Tehran’s regional strategy-from the phase of conditional strengthening to the period of strategic overload and relative isolation. The focus is on identifying the reasons why Iran, despite its structural capabilities and resources, was unable to consolidate sustainable regional leadership and found itself drawn into conflicts that undermine its own security. The dissertation aims to show that Iran’s foreign policy is shaped not only by the international environment, but also as a result internal institutional fragmentation, ideological dogmas and a crisis of legitimacy

Qualification: Clinical Psychology Supervisor: Ph.D. Gulay Faig MammadzadeThe dissertation study examines the anxiety and stress levels of men with infertility problems. The main objective of the scientific work is to study the anxiety and stress levels in infertile men and other influencing factors. Chapter I presents the general views of researchers on anxiety and stress disorders. The terms anxiety and fear are explained psychologically and physiologically, as well as their symptoms, psychophysiological mechanisms, etiology and comorbidity with other medical and psychological disorders, and psychological treatment methods. The concept of infertility is also explained, the mechanisms of its formation, psychosomatics, types, treatment methods, and the relationship with other medical and psychological disorders and long-term consequences are noted. In addition, the concept of infertile men and their social difficulties, the impact of the psychosocial impact of infertility on life activities, family relationships and sexual activity are explained. Chapter II describes the organization, conduct and methods of the research, the questionnaires and scales used. Finally, Chapter III explains the statistical analysis of research data. Male patients with infertility problems are the object of the study, the subject of the study is to investigate the relationship between this disease and anxiety disorders in infertile men and other factors affecting this relationship. 50 men with infertility problems participated in the study and their age ranged from 26 to 50. According to the results of the study, statistically significant relationships were identified between anxiety disorders in men with infertility problems and demographic data (age, education level, financial status, duration of infertility, family support and pressure, etc.) and other social factors. 4 hypotheses were put forward in the research work. 1. The level of anxiety and stress in men with infertility problems is statistically significantly related to the level of social anxiety – accepted. 2. There is a statistically significant relationship between the level of anxiety and stress in men with infertility problems and the level of financial status – accepted. 3. There is a statistically significant relationship between the level of anxiety and stress in men with infertility problems and the level of education - rejected. 4. There is a statistically significant relationship between the stress related to infertility and family support and pressure - accepted. Parametric methods "Pearson" and "Sperman" correlation analysis and Two-Way ANOVA analysis and Tukey's test were used for the statistical analysis of the results obtained from the research methods. The statistical significance of the results was determined based on the p<0.05 level
Ecological Analysis of the Causes of the Formation of Ecotoxicant H₂S and SO₂ Compounds in the Secondary Steel Melting Industry
In many literature sources, the reasons for the formation and emission of harmful
substances in the Primary and Secondary Steel Melting production areas are often
not analyzed in detail. Based on the information provided in some literature, we
conducted ecological research and explanations regarding the reasons for the
formation of H₂S and SO₂ gases, considered ecotoxicants, in the atmospheric air and
wastewater at the Secondary Steel Melting Plant. The causes of the formation of
H₂S and SO₂ compounds in Secondary Steel Melting production were studied, and
their ecological scientific explanations were justified. As is known, after some time,
every waste leads to pollution in the lithosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere,
which ultimately has negative impacts on the biosphere, especially on human health.
In this regard, our scientific research focused on providing ecological scientific
explanations for the reasons for the formation of each harmful substance at the
Secondary Steel Melting Plant, which is one of the most important issues
