    Copper-catalyzed aerobic oxidative coupling of ketones with P(O)-H compounds leading to beta-ketophosphine oxides

    A facile and efficient copper-catalyzed one-pot method for the construction of a-ketophosphine oxides has been developed via aerobic oxidative coupling of various ketones with P(O)-H compounds assisted by TBSOTf (t-butyldimethylsilyl triflate). Through this methodology, a series of a-ketophosphine oxides can be easily obtained in moderate to good yields with favorable functional group tolerance under very mild conditions. Isotope-labeling experiments suggested that the carbonyl oxygen atom of beta-ketophosphine oxides originated from dioxygen

    Shape Memory Polymers Based on Supramolecular Interactions

    Shape memory polymers (SMPs), with the capability to change from one or more temporary shapes to predetermined shapes in response to an external stimulus, have attracted much interest from both academia and industries. When introducing supramolecular interactions that have been featured as dynamic and reversible into the design of novel SMPs, intriguing and unique functionalities have been engendered and thereby broaden the potential applications of the SMPs to new territories. In this review, we summarize recent progress made in SMPs based on supramolecular interactions, provide insight into the material design and shape memory mechanism, elucidate and evaluate their properties and performance, and point out opportunities and applications of SMPs

    Magnetism-assisted modification of screen printed electrode with magnetic multi-walled carbon nanotubes for electrochemical determination of dopamine

    A simple and sensitive dopamine (DA) electrochemical sensor was fabricated based on magnetism-assisted modification of screen printed electrode (SPE) with magnetic multi-walled carbon nanotubes (mMWCNTs). The mMWCNTs modified electrodes (mMWCNTs/SPE) combines the advantages of SPE and the simultaneous contribution of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) and MWCNTs, increasing sensitivity and selectivity of DA detection. The linearity was found between 5 mu M to 180 mu M, with the limit of detection (LOD) of 0.43 mu M. In the mean time, this modified electrode exhibited excellent selectivity for DA detection with almost no interference from ascorbic acid (AA), which co-exists with DA in many bio-samples and causes common interference. Finally, this novel electrode has been applied to determine DA concentration in spiked human blood serum and satisfactory recovery was found in the range of 97.43-102.94% with the RSDs of less than 2.27%. This work developed a sensitive and reliable electrochemical analytical method based on mMWCNTs/SPE, which exhibits great potential for diagnosis of the diseases related to DA. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V.     An enantioselective Cu/Pd-catalyzed borylative coupling of styrenes with aryl/alkenyl iodides was realized using a chiral sulfoxide-phosphine (SOP) ligand. Enantioenriched 1,1-diarylethyl and beta-arylhomoallylic boronates are readily prepared. A streamlined procedure merging arylboration and subsequent Pd-catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling enables the modular assembly of enantioenriched 1,1,2-triarylethanes, including two medicinally important chiral small-molecule targets

    Reactive Oxygen Species and Glutathione Dual Redox-Responsive Supramolecular Assemblies with Controllable Release Capability

    A dual redox and biorelevant triggered supramolecular system is developed through noncovalent supramolecular inclusion interactions between the ferrocene (Fc) modified on camptothecin (CPT) and beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD) at the end of methoxy polyethylene glycol (mPEG). With these two segments, a stable noncovalent supramolecular structure, i.e., mPEG-beta-CD/Fc-CPT, can be formed, and then self-assembled into micellar structures in water. Interestingly, these supramolecular micelles showed uniform sphere structure, high and constant drug loading content, hyper-fast redox-responsive drug release, and exhibited equal cellular proliferation inhibition toward A549 cancer cells. The cytotoxicity evaluation of mPEG-beta-CD also indicated good biocompatibility. In vivo results revealed the mPEG-beta-CD/Fc-CPT nanoparticles had higher in vivo efficacy without side effects. It is anticipated this supramolecular complex may serve as a new kind of promising alternative for drug delivery systems

    家族性渗出性玻璃体视网膜病变患者LRP5基因突变研究

    家族性渗出性玻璃体视网膜病变(familial exudative vitreoretinopathy,FEVR)是一种遗传性眼科疾病,主要特征为视网膜周边血管发育异常和病变。由于病变程度不同,临床表型可从无明显症状到眼睛完全失明。本文通过研究3个中国FEVR家系和1个散发型患者,探索其致病突变与疾病表型之间的关系。收集家系中患者及亲属的外周血制备基因组DNA,设计引物以扩增FEVR致病基因FZD4、LRP5、NDP和TSPAN12的外显子区域并通过Sanger法进行测序。结果发现,在LRP5基因上存在3个未在db SNP数据库及千人基因组计划数据库中报道过的杂合突变p.M181R、p.R399S和p.G503R,以及2个已发现但未在FEVR中报道过的杂合突变p.R494Q和p.G876S。生物信息学分析表明这5个突变位点均高度保守,为有害突变。荧光素酶报告基因实验证明了这5个突变均不能激活Norrin/β-catenin信号通路,进一步证明了这5个突变的致病性。该研究扩充了我国FEVR疾病的遗传数据库,可为该疾病的分子诊断提供依据

    知母中Officinalisinin Ⅰ降糖机制及中枢神经保护研究

    目的:观察知母中OfficinalisininⅠ对糖尿病的降糖效果,并探讨其降糖机制以及对糖尿病引起的神经损伤的保护作用。方法:利用四氧嘧啶小鼠造模后灌胃药品测定糖耐量;糖苷酶抑制效果体外检测;糖尿病小鼠禁食后给药检测胰高血糖素样肽-1(GLP-1);糖尿病小鼠给药20d后利用酶联免疫法对小鼠血清中脑源性神经营养因子(BDNF)和谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH-PX)进行检测。结果:OfficinalisininⅠ具有降血糖并显著提高糖尿病小鼠糖耐量的功能,实验排除糖苷酶抑制剂途径,并且通过促进GLP-1以及BDND的产生以及提高GSH-PX活力起到降糖及神经保护作用。结论:OfficinalisininⅠ可以有效降低糖尿病小鼠血糖,对神经损伤具有保护作用

    Bacterial Signatures of "Red-Operculum" Disease in the Gut of Crucian Carp (Carassius auratus)

    Fish gut microbiota play important roles in fish immunity, nutrition, and the adaptation to environmental changes. To date, few studies have focused on the interactions among environmental factors, fish diseases, and gut microbiota compositions. We compared the gut bacterial communities of healthy crucian carps (Carassius auratus) with those of individuals affected by "red-operculum" disease and corresponding water and sediment microbiota in four fish farm ponds. Distinct gut bacterial communities were observed in healthy and diseased fish. The bacterial communities of diseased fish were less diverse and stable than those of healthy individuals. The differences in bacterial community compositions between diseased and healthy fish were explained by the changes in the relative abundances of some specific bacterial OTUs, which belonged to the genera such as Vibrio, Aeromonas, and Shewanella, and they were prevalent in diseased fish, but rare or even absent in environmental samples. Water temperature and ammonia concentration were the two most important environmental factors that impacted gut microbiota in diseased fish. These results highlighted the surge of some potential pathogens as bacterial signatures that were associated with "red-operculum" disease in crucian carps

    A review: Driving factors and regulation strategies of microbial community structure and dynamics in wastewater treatment systems

    The performance and stabilization of biological wastewater treatment systems fare closely related to the microbial community structure and dynamics. In this paper, the effects and mechanisms of influent composition, process configuration, operating parameters (dissolved oxygen [DO], pH, hydraulic retention time [HRT] and sludge retention time [SRT]) and environmental condition (temperature) to the change of microbial community structure and process performance (nitrification, denitrification, biological phosphorus removal, organics mineralization and utilization, etc.) are critically reviewed. Furthermore, some strategies for microbial community structure regulation, mainly bioaugmentation, process adjustment and operating parameters optimization, applied in the current wastewater treatment systems are also discussed. Although the recent studies have strengthened our understanding on the relationship between microbial community structure and wastewater treatment process performance, how to fully tap the microbial information, optimize the microbial community structure and maintain the process performance in wastewater treatment systems are still full of challenges.
